Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS) Pilani is one of the premier engineering colleges in India. With 29th position in NIRF 2022 rankings, BITS Pilani is considered equivalent to India’s top engineering colleges such as the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), National Institutes of Technology (NITs), and the Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT). The BITS Pilani campus has been ranked among the top 200 universities (188th Position) in Asia in QS ranking for Asian colleges 2023.
BITS Pilani has four campuses with three in India, located at Goa, Hyderabad, and Pilani and one of its campuses in Dubai (United Arab Emirates – UAE). Around 22,000 students study on all four BITS Pilani campuses.

The institute primarily focuses on higher education in engineering and sciences. All the campuses of BITS Pilani offer different types of courses such as Integrated First-Degree Programmes (BE, BPharm, and MSc), Higher degree Programmes (ME, MPharm, MPhil), and Doctoral Programmes (PhD).
BITS conducts All-India online entrance examination, BITSAT (BITS Admission Test) for admission to its first-degree courses. Admission is purely based on ranks obtained by candidates in the BITSAT exam.

Birla Institute of Technology & Science, Pilani (BITS Pilani) is a private not-for-profit institution of higher education and research in India. It is a deemed university under Section 3 of the UGC Act 1956. The institute is one of the first six institutes to be awarded the Institute of Eminence status in 2018. The campus-wise BITSAT cutoff will be released by the BITS Pilani authorities. The cutoff scores can be checked online at bitsadmission.com. Students will not be able to confirm their allotment if they meet the BITSAT cutoff. However, they will have higher admission chances to their choice of course and campus. The official date for the BITSAT direct admission registration will be announced soon. Board toppers who meet the basic eligibility criteria can register for the direct admissions. No BITSAT score will be needed by the board toppers to secure a seat in the BITS campuses.

Yes, the students will be able to pay the BITSAT counselling fee offline. To make the offline payment, the students will have to pay through cash at any ICICI bank branch, along with a generated pay-in slip. Online payment methods are also available.

Students will have to pay BITSAT counselling fee. To be registered for counselling, a fee of INR 1000 has to be paid. If students fail to pay fee before final date, then they will not be considered for admission.

Students who are applying through reservation will have to submit their category certificate. If they fail to submit certificate, then they will not be allowed to take admission through reservation quota. Students have to keep their documents ready for verification.

No, the students will not be able to verify their documents online for BITSAT admission. Once allotted, they will have to report to their respective campus to submit their documents for verification. All of the required documents have to be submitted, otherwise their admission will be cancelled.

After seat allotment, candidates have to confirm their admission by verifying their documents. They will have to submit 10th and 12th class marksheet, counselling letter, result, category certificate and more. If documents are not verified, their admission will be cancelled.
