Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS) Pilani is one of the premier engineering colleges in India. With 29th position in NIRF 2022 rankings, BITS Pilani is considered equivalent to India’s top engineering colleges such as the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), National Institutes of Technology (NITs), and the Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT). The BITS Pilani campus has been ranked among the top 200 universities (188th Position) in Asia in QS ranking for Asian colleges 2023.
BITS Pilani has four campuses with three in India, located at Goa, Hyderabad, and Pilani and one of its campuses in Dubai (United Arab Emirates – UAE). Around 22,000 students study on all four BITS Pilani campuses.

The institute primarily focuses on higher education in engineering and sciences. All the campuses of BITS Pilani offer different types of courses such as Integrated First-Degree Programmes (BE, BPharm, and MSc), Higher degree Programmes (ME, MPharm, MPhil), and Doctoral Programmes (PhD).
BITS conducts All-India online entrance examination, BITSAT (BITS Admission Test) for admission to its first-degree courses. Admission is purely based on ranks obtained by candidates in the BITSAT exam.

Birla Institute of Technology & Science, Pilani (BITS Pilani) is a private not-for-profit institution of higher education and research in India. It is a deemed university under Section 3 of the UGC Act 1956. The institute is one of the first six institutes to be awarded the Institute of Eminence status in 2018. BITS, Pilani, conducts the BITSAT exam in two shifts. The timings for the morning session are from 9 AM to 12 PM, and others are from 2 PM to 5 PM in the afternoon session. Candidates can select the BITSAT slot timings using the BITSAT slot booking system.

If students forget to book their BITSAT exam slot, then authorities will automatically allot them from available slots. Once slots are allotted, candidates cannot request authorities to change it. Candidates are advised to complete slot booking themselves.
