Semester Abroad Program

General Requirements

Students pursuing their Bachelors and Master’s degree in any faculty of SRM University. However, they should fulfill some mandatory requirements laid out by the university.

These requirements are basis the entry requirements of the foreign universities which encompasses high standards and competency that students are expected to encounter at the host university. Students are expected to build brand image and reputation of SRM .

Students need to ensure they have the right attitude, grit and determination to pursue his/her studies without any psychological and for academic stress. Some of the criteria are quantitative and some are subjective.

Aspirants should have a minimum knowledge level in their chosen field of specialization. Thus, students should get enrolled in SAP only after studying two full years at the undergraduate level or one full year at Masters Level.

Minimum requirements (Mandatory)

The student should have secured CGPA of not less than 8.0 upto the last semester for which the results are declared and available.

The students should not have any standing arrears as on the date of submission of application for SAP. The status of arrear will be considered based on the official data available with the university and consideration will not be given on the presumption that the status of the student is bound to change in future.

Should have completed two full years in undergraduate or one full year in master’s program.

The student should have secured CGPA of not less than 8.0 upto the last semester for which the results are declared and available.

Minimum requirements (Desirable)

Undergone additional training, apart from that offered in SRM, in the language of the country the student proposes to do the SAP.

Have a valid passport at the time of interview for SAP by SRM.

Have a good score in TOEFL, IELTS etc.

Dual Degree Programmes

Must maintain a minimum  CGPA of 8.0 out of 10 during the first three years of study at SRM

There must not be any backlogs of papers at the time of applying to the partnering university

Good Score in TOEFL at the time of applying to the partnering university

Masters – Masters Dual Degree Program: A pass in the relevant degree or its equivalent with

Minimum 80% aggregate at the Bachelor’s degree.

Must maintain a minimum  CGPA of 8.0 out of 10 during the first year of study at SRM

Students for this program will be selected on the following parameters:

·         Academic performance

·         Ambition and excitement level

·         Communication skills

·         Family financial background to support

·         Above all the recommendation of the department concerned

To start with, aspirants pursuing the dual degree program must enroll into an equivalent degree program of SRM University. After this, they must register with the Office of International Relations for the Dual degree program. The Office of IR would receive counselling and guidance from students in choosing the right university / program  that will meet their career objectives and affordability.

The selection for this programme is based on : merit based on academic performance at 12th Standard / equivalent and the third year of study at SRM, assessment of ambition and excitement level, good communication skills, good testimonials / credentials and right supportive family background.

Students can download a separate registration and application form for this program which is available at the office of IR. The application form can also be downloaded from the website.

Students should first enroll into an equivalent degree program of SRM University

After enrolling they must register with the Office of International Relations for the Twinning / Transfer degree program

This office will then counsel and guide the students in choosing the right university / program  that will meet their career objectives and affordability.

Admissions to the Bachelors (UG) / Masters (PG) Twining Program is based on merit, academic performance at 12th Standard / equivalent and the first year of study at SRM, assessment of ambition and excitement level, good communication skills, good testimonials / credentials and right supportive family background.

Aspirants can obtain a separate registration and application form for twinning / transfer degree program from the IR office. The form can also be downloaded from the official website.
