KCET is relatively easier than other entrance exams. Students’ first priority is IITs and NITs and then they opt for KCET and other state government exams. KCET is easy as compared to JEE Mains. Hence, it is one of the best opportunity to opt for an engineering aspirant to take admission in one of the best government colleges in India.
Explore colleges based on KCET
Starting with the correct study material, one should go mainly with more number of questions than theory. The best way to do questions is to start with mock test papers of JEE Mains. This is because, JEE Mains questions are tougher than KCET, hence, you will feel ease while doing KCET paper. For Physics, I would suggest H.C Verma and P. Bahadur. For Chemistry, NCERT and Cengage will be more than enough. You can study your Board syllabus too for chemistry. For Maths, R.D Sharma, Part-1 and Part-2 will be more than enough apart from mock tests.While preparations, set time to 80 minutes for each subject question paper and try to solve 90 questions within it. For those who are opting for Biology do go with NCERT, I would also suggest going through the coursebook of ICSE board students. It is a detailed book on core topics.
Evaluating yourself from day-1 is important. Try to make a graph of marks you are getting in the mock test. Most toppers opt for an aggressive approach in the last few days of paper. Every day solve 2 papers of JEE Main and check your graph in each subject every 4 days. Be very honest with yourself but don't burn out. Take breaks and try to be mentally happy and healthy. Make notes and revise them properly.
In the exam, you'll be given the last 10 minutes to fill OMR but, in my advice, fill the OMR together with paper. if you can't fill the OMR at last, the hard work will go in vain. For motivation, try searching for the best colleges and imagine the upcoming four years of your life in that institute. This will work as a positive aid and help you work harder every day.

No. The JEE Mains emphasizes on deep knowledge and quote challenging with negative marking whereas KCET is moderately difficult which emphasizes on direct factual questions with no negative markings.
