MET 2026 application form has been released online at manipal.edu. To be registered for the entrance exam, the candidates will have to fill out and submit the MET application form before the final date, i.e., March 15, 2026. MET 2026 will be held in two phases - Phase 1 (April) and Phase 2 (May) as a online entrance test. Registered candidates will have to complete their slot booking and download the MET 2026 admit card. At the exam centres ,the MET hall ticket has to be presented with the identity proof. The scores obtained in the entrance exam can be checked through the MET result 2026. Candidates will be eligible to attempt both phases of the exam, and the best MET 2026 score will be considered for admission. Read to know more about MET 2026.

What is MET?

Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) conducts Manipal Entrance Test (MET) annually to select candidates for admission into their participating campuses. Based on their scores in MET, the candidates will be able to apply for the BTech courses offered by Manipal Institute of Technology, Manipal, Manipal University, Jaipur, Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology and Manipal Institute of Technology, Bengaluru. MET is held as a computer-based test at various centres and the candidates will be required to attempt objective multiple-choice questions.

MET 2026 application form has been released. Eligible candidates can now register for MET 2026 to participate in the entrance examination and admission process. During the MET 2026 application process, the candidates have to register, fill out their personal, academic and contact details, upload a photograph and signature and pay the fee. The candidates will be able to pay the MET 2026 application fee online, i.e., through net banking/credit card/debit card. Without the fee payment, the applications will not be submitted. No other mode of fee payment will be accepted. Since no correction facility is provided, the candidates are advised to be careful while filling out their basic information.

MET 2026 Eligibility Criteria

The MET eligibility criteria 2026 will be released by the authorities. Candidates will have to fulfil the below-mentioned eligibility criteria if they want to participate in the MET 2026 admission process.

BTech Courses - Candidates should have qualified 10+2, A-Level, IB, American 12th grade or equivalent examination with Physics, Mathematics and English as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or any technical vocational subjects as optional subjects with a minimum of 50% mark taken together in Physics, Mathematics and any one of the optional subjects.

Lateral BTech - 3 years Diploma in Engineering granted by the Board of Technical Examination of a State Government or passed BSc Degree from a recognized University with at least 45% marks and passed Xll standard with Mathematics as a subject.

Marking Scheme

4 marks for every correct answer. For MCQs, 1 mark will be deducted for every wrong answer. For NAT questions, no negative marking will be done.

MET 2026 Mock Test

MET 2026 mock test will be available online at manipal.edu. Candidates are advised to access and attempt the MET mock test to become familiar with the test environment. No login credentials are required to access the mock test. It is to be noted that the MET mock test 2026 will consist of only 18 questions that have to be completed within 60 minutes. The mock test can be used to gain familiarity and knowledge on how the authorities will conduct the examination.

MET 2026 Slot Booking

Candidates will be able to access the MET 2026 slot booking facility online by logging in using their application number and OTBS password. It is to be noted that the OTBS password will be the candidate's date of birth in DDMMYYYY format. The authorities will conduct the slot booking on a first-come-first-serve basis. All candidates are advised to log in and complete the MET slot booking as soon as possible. The hall ticket will be generated after the slots are booked. In case the candidates are unable to book their slots, they will be automatically allotted by the authorities as per their availability.

MET 2026 Admit Card

To download the MET admit card 2026, the candidates will have to log in using their application form number and OTBS password. At the exam centre, the candidates will have to bring their MET hall ticket along with their original valid ID proof for verification purpose. Through the MET admit card, the candidates will be able to check the details regarding their allotted exam centre, date, timings, guidelines and more. Separate hall tickets will be released for the different exam phases.

MET 2026 Result

MET 2026 result will be announced online at manipal.edu. Candidates can access the scores and ranks obtained in the entrance examination through the MET result 2026. The authorities will also send the candidates their obtained MET 2026 ranks and scores through SMS. No requests for review of the obtained scores and ranks will be accepted. Based on the performance of the candidates in the entrance examination, the allotment of seats will be done by the authorities.

MET 2026 Counselling

MET 2026 counselling process will be held online. Qualified candidates will have to log in using their application number and password to pay the MET 2026 counselling fee of INR 10,000 online, i.e.,  through net banking/credit card/debit card (adjustable with the tuition fee). The last date to fill choices and register will be announced soon. The MET 2026 seat allotment will be released separately for different rounds of counselling. The selected candidates will have to confirm their admission before the final date; otherwise, their allotment will be cancelled.

Yes, the round wise MET cutoff will be released online. The cutoff will be different for every course, category and college. Students will be able to access the cutoff after each round of seat allotment. MET cutoff can be used to check for chances of admission

Yes, MAHE releases the MET cutoff online at the official website. Students will be able to access the MET cutoff after every round of seat allotment. The cutoff rank for higher chances of admission will be released through the MET cutoff.

If the students find any discrepancy in the MET result, then they are advised to contact the authorities immediately. The information should be corrected by the authorities as soon as possible. However, the scores and ranks will not be open for corrections.

At the MET exam centre, the students will have to bring one valid identity proof. They are allowed to bring any one of the following – Aadhaa Card/Voter ID/Passport/PAN Card/School ID, etc. No photocopies of the identity proof will be allowed.

No, the authorities will not accept digital copies of the MET admit card at the exam centre. All students will have to bring a print out of their hall ticket for verification. If the students do not have the physical copy of their admit card, they will not be allowed to attempt the exam.
