To register for the exam, students have to submit filled online MET application form before final date, i.e., March 23, 2026. Is Aadhaar Card mandatorily required for MET application form 2026?

During MET registration, details of Aadhaar card are not mandatorily required from students. They can complete registration using mobile number and email ID. However, during the exam and counselling stages, students must carry valid government issued photo ID as proof.  For verification of identity, students can use any valid photograph ID proof such as Aadhaar card, Voter ID, Passport, PAN Card, School ID, etc. Aadhaar number is not a necessary detail required for registration, but students can keep it ready in case it is needed.

Students will require important documents in every step of MET application process. • MET Registration: For registration, students have to fill their basic details. They can use their identification proof such as Aadhaar card. PAN card, Voter ID and more to fill correct personal details. Valid email address and mobile number also have to be submitted.
• Filling of Application Form: While filling online MET application form, students have to fill correct academic, category and communication details. For this step in MET registration, they will need their academic marksheets, category certificates, domicile certificates, address proof and more.
• Document Uploading: In this step, students have to upload their photograph and signature according to official specifications. Both photograph and signature has to be uploaded correctly.
• Payment of Fee: Finally, for MET application fee payment, students have to use their net banking, credit card or debit card details. Details required will be according to chosen mode of payment.

After MET registration, MAHE authorities will open slot booking process. Through MET slot booking, students can choose their preferred exam slots according to availability. After slots are booked, MET admit card will be available for download. Through hall ticket, they can check their allotted exam centre, date, slots and more. MET 2026 Eligibility Criteria

Before registration, candidates can check MET eligibility criteria 2026. Ineligible candidates will not be considered for admission.

BTech Courses - Candidates should have qualified 10+2, A-Level, IB, American 12th grade or equivalent examination with Physics, Mathematics and English as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or any technical vocational subjects as optional subjects with a minimum of 50% mark taken together in Physics, Mathematics and any one of the optional subjects.

Lateral BTech - 3 years Diploma in Engineering granted by the Board of Technical Examination of a State Government or passed BSc Degree from a recognized University with at least 45% marks and passed Xll standard with Mathematics as a subject.
