What is MET?
Manipal Academy of Higher Education conducts Manipal Entrance Test (MET) to select candidates for BTech admission into participating campuses. Based on MET scores, candidates can apply for BTech courses offered by participating four campuses. MET is held as an online test at various centres, and candidates will have to attempt objective questions.

Previous Year's MET Paper Analysis
According to students who attempted previous year's MET exam, overall paper was moderately difficult. Students found Mathematics as toughest section and most questions were lengthy and from both 11th and 12th class syllabus. Physics was moderate but questions were more numerical based and from 12th class. Chemistry was easy and most questions were from Organic Chemistry. As per MET exam previous year analysis, English was easy.

MET 2026 Result (Phase 2 OUT)

MAHE has released the MET Phase 2 result at manipal.edu. To check MET result 2026, candidates will have to log in at manipal.edu using their email address and password. Scores secured in the entrance examination can be checked through the MET result. Candidates will also receive details about their obtained scores through SMS sent to their registered mobile number. No requests to make changes in the obtained score will be accepted.
Rank obtained in exam will be released soon through MET 2026 rank card. Candidates with valid MET rank will be eligible for counselling and admission process. Before counselling, they can use MET college predictor 2026 to know which colleges they will be eligible for based on their rank and scores.

MET Counselling Process 2026
Qualified candidates can now log in to MET 2026 counselling portal to upload their 12th marksheets. MET 2026 counselling process will be held online. Qualified candidates will have to pay the MET 2026 counselling fee of INR 10,000 online, i.e., through net banking/credit card/debit card (adjustable with the tuition fee). The last date to fill choices and register will be announced soon. The MET 2026 seat allotment will be released separately for different rounds of counselling. The selected candidates will have to confirm their admission before the final date; otherwise, their allotment will be cancelled.

As per MET eligibility criteria, students should have atleast 50 percent marks in 12th class examination. Students should have studied Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and one optional subject. For admission, 50% weightage will be given to 12th marks.
MET is an annual exam conducted in two sessions to select students for BTech admissions into its participating campuses. Students have to qualify the entrance exam to be eligible for admissions. One or both sessions of the entrance exam can be attempted.
MET application fee has to be paid online, i.e., net banking/credit card/debit card/UPI/PayTM. No other mode can be used to pay the application fee. If the fee is not paid, then the candidates will be considered ineligible to attempt the exam.
The conducting authority of MET is the Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE). The information about the entrance exam will be officially announced by the MAHE authorities. Students have to stay updated with the announcements made at the official website.
