MET 2026 exam dates have been announced. For Phase 1, MAHE will conduct MET exam 2026 on April 13 and 14 as a computer based test. MET will be held in two phases. Second phase will be held on May 23 and 24. MET exam dates 2026 for both phases has been released. Registrations for Phase 1 exam is now open at manipal.edu. Candidates will have to fill out and submit MET application form for Phase 1 exam before final date, i.e., March 15, 2026. Registered candidates will have to complete their slot booking and download the MET admit card 2026.

At the exam centres, MET hall ticket has to be presented with the identity proof. For preparation, candidates should check MET exam pattern and syllabus. Scores obtained in the entrance exam can be checked through MET result 2026. Candidates will be eligible to attempt both phases of the exam, and best MET score will be considered for admission. What is MET?

Manipal Academy of Higher Education conducts Manipal Entrance Test (MET) to select candidates for BTech admission into participating campuses. Based on MET scores, candidates can apply for BTech courses offered by participating four campuses. MET is held as an online test at various centres, and candidates will have to attempt objective questions.

Previous Year's MET Paper Analysis

According to students who attempted previous year's MET exam, overall paper was moderately difficult. Students found Mathematics as toughest section and most questions were lengthy and from both 11th and 12th class syllabus. Physics was moderate but questions were more numerical based and from 12th class. Chemistry was easy and most questions were from Organic Chemistry. As per MET exam previous year analysis, English was easy.

Q:   How is the MET merit list prepared?

The authorities will prepare the MET merit list to select students for admissions into the courses offered by the participating institutes. The performance of the students will be assessed to prepare the MET merit list. Separate merit lists will be prepared for different categories.

The authorities do not consider any other exam score for MET admissions. All students will have to attempt and qualify the MET exam to be eligible for admission into the participating campuses. However, the basic 12th standard qualifying exam mark eligibility has to be met.

MET 2026 exam date has been released. Phase 1 will be held on April 13 and 14, while Phase 2 will be conducted on May 23 and 24.

MET 2026 Application Form: How to apply?

MET 2026 application form is open. Eligible candidates can now register for MET 2026 to participate in the entrance examination and admission process. During MET 2026 application process, candidates have to register, fill out their personal, academic and contact details, upload a photograph and signature and pay the fee. The candidates will be able to pay the MET 2026 application fee online, i.e., through net banking/credit card/debit card. Without the fee payment, the applications will not be submitted. No other mode of fee payment will be accepted. Since no correction facility is provided, the candidates are advised to be careful while filling out their basic information.

MET 2026 Eligibility Criteria

The MET eligibility criteria 2026 will be released by the authorities. Candidates will have to fulfil the below-mentioned eligibility criteria if they want to participate in the MET 2026 admission process.

BTech Courses - Candidates should have qualified 10+2, A-Level, IB, American 12th grade or equivalent examination with Physics, Mathematics and English as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or any technical vocational subjects as optional subjects with a minimum of 50% mark taken together in Physics, Mathematics and any one of the optional subjects.

Lateral BTech - 3 years Diploma in Engineering granted by the Board of Technical Examination of a State Government or passed BSc Degree from a recognized University with at least 45% marks and passed Xll standard with Mathematics as a subject.

How to Book MET 2026 Exam Slots

MAHE has released the MET 2026 slot booking dates. For Phase 1 exam, MET slot booking 2026 will be open from March 31 to April 2. To book their MET 2026 exam slots, registered candidates will have to go to official website and log in using their application form number and OTBS password. Candidates will have to use their date of birth in DDMMYYYY format as the OTBS password. Since slot booking is first come first serve, they are advised to complete it as early as they can to get their preference. After slots are booked, MET hall ticket will be prepared. MAHE will release MET 2026 admit card for Phase 1 exam on April 10. Official MET 2026 hall ticket download link will be available at manipal.edu. To download admit card, candidates will have to log in using their application number and OTBS password. All candidates will have to complete their slot booking to download their MET admit card 2026. MAHE is also expected to send MET 2026 admit card download link to candidates through email.

Some important details that can be checked through MET admit card are allotted examination centre address, date, slot and guidelines. Candidates cannot raise requests to make changes to their allotted centres. At exam centre, they will have to bring their admit card along with one valid identity proof. If these documents are not shown at exam centre, then candidates will not be allowed to enter exam centre to attempt Manipal Entrance Test. For Phase 2 examination, candidates will be able to download their admit card on May 20, 2026.

MET Counselling Process 2026

MET 2026 counselling process will be held online. Qualified candidates will have to log in using their application number and password to pay the MET 2026 counselling fee of INR 10,000 online, i.e.,  through net banking/credit card/debit card (adjustable with the tuition fee).
