MET 2026 application form has been released online at manipal.edu. To be registered for the entrance exam, the candidates will have to fill out and submit the MET application form before the final date, i.e., March 15, 2026. MET 2026 will be held in two phases - Phase 1 (April) and Phase 2 (May) as a online entrance test. Registered candidates will have to complete their slot booking and download the MET 2026 admit card. At the exam centres ,the MET hall ticket has to be presented with the identity proof. The scores obtained in the entrance exam can be checked through the MET result 2026. What is MET?

Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) conducts Manipal Entrance Test (MET) annually to select candidates for admission into their participating campuses. Based on their scores in MET, the candidates will be able to apply for the BTech courses offered by Manipal Institute of Technology, Manipal, Manipal University, Jaipur, Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology and Manipal Institute of Technology, Bengaluru. MET is held as a computer-based test at various centres and the candidates will be required to attempt objective multiple-choice questions.

Q:   Is MET held twice a year?

MET 2026 application form has been released. Eligible candidates can now register for MET 2026 to participate in the entrance examination and admission process. During the MET 2026 application process, the candidates have to register, fill out their personal, academic and contact details, upload a photograph and signature and pay the fee. The candidates will be able to pay the MET 2026 application fee online, i.e., through net banking/credit card/debit card. Without the fee payment, the applications will not be submitted. No other mode of fee payment will be accepted. Since no correction facility is provided, the candidates are advised to be careful while filling out their basic information.

MET 2026 Eligibility Criteria

The MET eligibility criteria 2026 will be released by the authorities. Candidates will have to fulfil the below-mentioned eligibility criteria if they want to participate in the MET 2026 admission process.

BTech Courses - Candidates should have qualified 10+2, A-Level, IB, American 12th grade or equivalent examination with Physics, Mathematics and English as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or any technical vocational subjects as optional subjects with a minimum of 50% mark taken together in Physics, Mathematics and any one of the optional subjects.

Lateral BTech - 3 years Diploma in Engineering granted by the Board of Technical Examination of a State Government or passed BSc Degree from a recognized University with at least 45% marks and passed Xll standard with Mathematics as a subject.

Q:   How much is the MET application fee?
A: 

The MET application fee is INR 600. Students will have to pay the application fee online, i.e., through net banking/debit card/credit card/UPI/PayTM. If the fee is not paid before the final date, then the application fee will not be accepted.

A: 

No offline MET application form will be available. Students will have to access the MET application form online and fill it out with the required details .The application fee has to be paid online and submitted. The authorities will not accept print outs of the filled application form.

Q:   Which documents have to be uploaded in the MET application form?
A: 

Students will have to upload their scanned passport size photograph and signature in the online MET application form. The documents have to be scanned according to the specifications mentioned by the official authorities. If the documents are not up to the standard specification, then it will not be uploaded in the form.

Q:   What is the 12th standard marks required to be eligible for MET?

According to the MET eligibility criteria, the students should have scored a minimum of 50% in 12th standard qualifying examination. Q:   Will MET be held as an online test?

It is to be noted that the OTBS password will be the candidate's date of birth in DDMMYYYY format. The authorities will conduct the slot booking on a first-come-first-serve basis. If the students find any mistake in their MET admit card, they are advised to immediately contact the authorities. The information should be corrected before the examination. However, the request to make changes in the allotted exam centre or slot will not be accepted.

Q:   Is the MET result and score card the same?
A: 

Yes, the students will be able to check their obtained scores through the MET result, after they are logged in. However, the result will be downloadable in the form of MET score card. The score card will be needed later during the admission process.

Q:   How is the MET merit list prepared?
A: 

The authorities will prepare the MET merit list to select students for admissions into the courses offered by the participating institutes. The performance of the students will be assessed to prepare the MET merit list. Separate merit lists will be prepared for different categories.

Q:   What after MET seat allotment?

After the seats are allotted, the students will have to confirm their admission. The selected students will have to report to their allotted institute to pay the fee and verify their documents for admission confirmation. MET 2026 admit card will be released tentatively in April (Session 1) and May 2026 (Session 2). Separate admit cards will be released for the two examination sessions. Students will have to download and bring the hall ticket to the exam centre.
