MET ME/MTech 2022: Exam Dates, Application Form, Eligibility, Syllabus, Results

MET 2023 application form last date has been extended until March 31. Candidates can now log in and fill out the MET application form 2023 online at manipal.edu. MET 2023 exam dates have been announced online. The authorities will conduct MET 2023 in two attempts - First Attempt (April 28 to 30) and Second Attempt (May 27 to 28). During the MET 2023 registration, the candidates will have to fill out their personal, academic and contact details. No other mode of application will be accepted. MET 2023 slot booking process for the first attempt will be open from April 21 to 24. The scores obtained in the entrance examination will be released through the MET 2023 result. What is MET?

Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) conducts its own online entrance exam to offer admissions to candidates in the programmes that it has on offer. Candidates can secure admissions in courses provided at Manipal University on the basis of their rank/score on the Manipal Entrance Test (MET).

The Manipal Entrance Test (MET) exam, was earlier, known as Manipal University Online Entrance Exam (MU-OET). Programmes on offer for admissions at Manipal University include – MBBS, MD, MS, PG Medical Diploma, MSc (in many disciplines), MPhil, DM, Bachelor of Audiology & Speech Pathology (BASLP), Bachelor of Cardiovascular Technology (BSc CVT), BSc (in many disciplines), Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT), BTech (in many disciplines), MTech (in many disciplines), MSc (in many disciplines), BArch, BDes, BA, MA and the likes.

MET 2023 Application Form

MAHE has released the application form of MET 2023 online. During the application process, the candidates will have to register, fill in the required details, upload scanned documents and pay the application fee. The final date to apply for MET 2023 first attempt is March 31. No applications will be accepted after the final date. All of the provided details should be in correspondence with the documents possessed by the candidates. MET 2023 application form last date for the second attempt is yet to be announced.

MET 2023 Eligibility

Candidates need to fulfil the below-mentioned eligibility criteria if they want to apply for MET 2023:

BTech Courses - Pass in 10+2, A-Level, IB, American 12th grade or equivalent with Physics, Mathematics and English as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or any technical vocational subjects as optional subjects with a minimum of 50% mark taken together in Physics, Mathematics and any one of the optional subjects.

Lateral BTech - 3 years Diploma in Engineering granted by the Board of Technical Examination of a State Government or passed BSc Degree from a recognized University with at least 45% marks and passed Xll standard with Mathematics as a subject.

MET 2023 Slot Booking

The authorities will commence the MET 2023 slot booking process online. To book the slots, the candidates will have to log in using their application number and OTBS password. It is to be noted that the MET slot booking will be done on a first-come-first-serve basis and will be subject to slot availability. Separate slot booking will be done for the two attempts of MET 2023. Candidates who have registered for the first attempt will be eligible for the second attempt slot booking.

MET 2023 Admit Card

Candidates will be able to access their MET admit card (e-hall ticket) 24 hours after they have booked their schedule through the online test booking system. Candidates can download their admit card for MET by filling in their application form number and online test booking password on the official website of the entrance exam. The e-hall ticket will also be emailed to candidates at the email address mentioned by them in the application form.

MET 2023 Syllabus

MAHE has released the official MET syllabus 2023. Candidates can check the subjects, topics and units that have to be studied for the entrance examination. Before preparing for the exam, the candidates are advised to check the syllabus carefully. The official question paper will be prepared based on the syllabus.

MET 2023 Exam Pattern

MET 2023 will be held as a computer-based test for all candidates. The exam pattern of MET 2023 will allow the candidates to know about the entrance examination such as the mode, duration, marking scheme and more. By checking the MET exam pattern 2023 beforehand, the candidates will be able to prepare well for the entrance exam.

Candidates can check some of the preparation tips of MET 2023 so that they can perform well in the entrance examination.

• Check Exam Pattern and Syllabus - Before starting their preparation, the candidates are advised to check the official exam pattern and syllabus of MET 2023. This will allow the candidates to be well-prepared for the examination
• Create a Timetable - Next, the candidates are advised to create a timetable for their preparation. The candidates should make sure that all of the subjects and topics are well-divided in the timetable. 
• Daily Revision - Candidates should revise their topics daily so that they have fewer chances of forgetting what they have studied. 
• Attempt Mock Tests - Candidates are advised to attempt mock tests so that they are able to know their preparation progress and identify their commonly made mistakes.

MET 2023 Answer Key

After the conclusion of the entrance exam, MAHE is expected to release the MET answer key 2023. The correct answers to the entrance examination questions will be released through the answer key of MET 2023. Using the answer key, the candidates will be able to calculate the probable secured scores in the exam. However, the scores will be indicative in nature. 

MET 2023 Result

MAHE will announce the MET 2023 result online. Candidates will be able to check their obtained scores and rank through the MET result. It is to be noted that the MET 2023 result will also be sent through SMS to the candidates. Based on the MET 2023 result, the merit list has been prepared by the authorities. Qualified candidates will be called in for the MET 2023 counselling. Candidates who meet the MET 2023 cutoff will have higher chances of admission into the participating campuses of the institute. 

MET 2023 Counselling

MAHE will commence the MET 2023 counselling process after the results are declared. The candidates will be able to register and fill in their choice of campuses and courses. MET 2023 counselling will be held in six rounds along with additional intra-institute and spot rounds. Candidates will be able to check their allotment status by logging in using their application number and OTBS password. The allotment is being done based on rank, preferences and availability of seats. Selected candidates will have to pay the course fees in two instalments.
