Empanelling of candidates in RRB Group D exam is done based on their performance in CBT, subject to their qualifying in PET. The appointment is offered to selected candidates provided they qualify the requisite medical fitness test and document verification. In case two or more candidates secure the same marks, their merit position is determined by the age criteria. The letter of appointment is issued by the Railway Administrations. Appointment of selected candidates is subject to their passing requisite Medical Fitness Test to be conducted by the Railway Administration, final verification of educational and community certificates and verification of antecedents/character of the candidates. It may also be noted that all candidates successful in DV are sent for Medical Examination. • The difficulty level of the exam is another determining factor for RRB NTPC cutoff marks evaluation. If the exam is difficult, then the cutoff is low
• The number of vacancies decides the zone-wise cutoff marks. If the number of vacancies in a particular zone of RRB is more, then the cutoff marks are low

RRB NTPC Cut off for CBT 1

RRB NTPC CBT 1 cut off is released based on the marks scored in General Awareness, Mathematics, and General Intelligence and Reasoning. The cutoff for CBT 1 is calculated out of 100 marks. 

RRB NTPC Cut off for CBT 2

RRB NTPC Cut off for CBAT

This stage is conducted for Station Master (SM)/Traffic Assistant (TA) posts. Candidates eight times the number of vacancies based on their performance in CBT 2 are shortlisted for this stage. The qualifying marks prescribed for this stage are 42 which candidates need to secure in each test battery. To shortlist candidates for document verification, the examination authority will fix the cut-off marks for this stage.

RRB NTPC Cut off for Typing Skill Test (TST)

The typing skill test is conducted for Senior Clerk cum Typist, Junior Accounts Assistant cum Typist, Senior Time Keeper, Junior Clerk cum Typist, Accounts Clerk cum Typist and Junior Time Keeper, Typing Skill Test (TST) posts. To qualify for this stage, candidates need to secure the cutoff marks.

RRB NTPC Cut off  for Document Verification

Candidates are called for document verification based on their performance in CBT 2 and CBAT/TST (as per the posts). The examination authority decides RRB NTPC Cut off marks to call candidates for document verification. Candidates clearing the document verification are called for Medical Fitness Test.

The Computer-Based Aptitude Test is conducted for Station Master and Traffic Assistant while Typing Skill Test is held for Junior Clerk cum Typist, Junior Time Keeper, Accounts Clerk cum Typist, Senior Clerk cum Typist, Junior Account Assistant cum Typist and Senior Time Keeper. The shortlisting for Skill Tests such as the Computer-based Aptitude Test and Typing Skill Test is done 8 times the number of vacancies based on the merit of second stage CBT. The candidates need to secure a minimum T-Score of 42 marks in each of the test batteries to qualify. This applies to all candidates irrespective of community or category and no relaxation in the minimum T- Score is permissible. The CBAT will have questions and answer options only in English and Hindi There will be no negative marking in CBAT. Merit list will be drawn only from amongst the candidates qualifying in the CBAT, with 70% weightage for the marks obtained in the 2nd Stage CBT and 30% weightage for the marks obtained in CBAT.

In RRB NTPC exam, candidates are required to secure the overall and qualifying cut off marks in the exam. RRB NTPC cut off marks are calculated based on the difficulty level of the exam difficulty level, number of test takers, level of competition, total marks, etc.

CBT 1 will have 75 questions for 75 marks and the duration granted to resolve the questions is 60 minutes. 1/3^rd marks are deducted for each wrong answer in CBT 1. The CBT 2 will have two parts- Part A and B for 175 marks. 1/3^rd marks are deducted for each wrong answer in CBT 2. The marks of candidates are calculated based on the correct and incorrect answers. Normalisation of marks is done to calculate the scores of candidates.
