The Staff Selection Commission has released the SSC Stenographer Result on its central portal - ssc.gov.in. The Commission selected 8,624 candidates for the Stenographer Grade 'C' posts. The Commission also selected 22,456 candidates for the Grade 'D' posts. The Commission also released the SSC Stenographer cutoff 2025 with the result. The Commission conducted the SSC Stenographer 2025 CBT from August 6 to 8 at the designated exam centres. The candidates should note that the SSC Stenpgrapher Skill Test dates will be released soon.

As per the feedback received from the candidates, the overall difficulty of the exam was moderate. The exam pattern of SSC Stenographer 2025 for CBT includes sections such as General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Awareness, and English Language & Comprehension. SSC Stenographer application process closed on June 26, 2025. SSC Stenographer notification was released on June 6, 2025 and the SSC Stenographer application form was made available. A total of 261 vacancies were announced for the SSC Steno exam.

SSC Stenographer Application 2025

SSC Stenographer registration process is over now. The application fee can be paid online only. SSC Stenographer online form can be filled in two parts: Part-I (One-Time Registration) and Part-II (Filling the application form). The application fees of SSC Stenographer are INR 100 for General and OBC candidates. SC, ST, women, and ESM candidates are exempted from fee payment.

SSC Stenographer Eligibility 

Candidates need to fulfil the following eligibility criteria:

(II) A subject of Nepal or

(IV) Tibetan refugee who came to India before January 1, 1962, with the intention of settling in India or

(V) Indian origin person who has migrated from Pakistan, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India. 

Provided that a candidate belonging to categories II,III, IV and V in whose favour a certificate of eligibility is issued by the Indian Government.
