Candidates who wish to take admission to the BSc Hons programme offered at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University are required to appear for an entrance examination. The University and its affiliated colleges accepts the scores of CUET UG. Therefore, Class 12 marks are not enough for SMVDU BSc Hons course admission.

Candidates seeking admission to BSc Hons at SMVDU are required to pay SMVDU BSc Hons application fee of INR 1,500 for the academic year 2024. The application fee submitted can only be paid using online method of payment. 

Candidates seeking admission to the BSc Hons programme must meet the minimum SMVDU BSc Hons eligibility criteria set up by the University and the colleges. Candidates who have passed the Class 12 or equivalent examination with minimum aggregate percentage as prescribed by the University can take admission to SMVDU BSc Hons course. 

Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University offers a full-time BSc Hons programme in different specialisations. The programme is being offered across various durations. BSc Hons at SMVDU duration ranges from three-year to four-year (including research) to five-year as the University also offers the integrated BSc Hons plus MSc programme as well at the undergraduate level.
