The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) has issued a list of instructions in the form of the Information Bulletin for JECA 2025 that highlights common instructions, such as when and how to report to the exam centre, the rules to be followed during the exam, the code of conduct, and the documents to carry. Candidates must follow these instructions. The JECA exam was conducted on October 19, 2025.

Before the Examination
- The WBJEE JECA 2025 exam time is 11 AM to 1 PM. Reach the exam centre by 10:30 AM.
- Check your centre name and code carefully. Plan the route and travel to your designated exam centre in advance.
- You will not be allowed to enter a centre that is not designated to you (as specified on your admit card).
- Each candidate will be allotted a designated seat. Occupy your allotted seat only.
- Entry to the exam hall closes at 11 AM.
Documents to Carry
Bring the following items to the exam centre:
- Printed Admit Card
- One colour photograph (same as uploaded during application)
- One original photo ID proof – Aadhaar Card / PAN Card / Passport / Voter ID card / Class 10th Admit Card / School ID card
(Candidates will not be allowed to enter in the absence of any of the above-mentioned documents.)
Prohibited Items
Do NOT carry any of the following inside the examination hall:
- Books, notes, or printed materials
- Calculators, pens, log tables, or wristwatches
- Communicable devices like mobile phones, Bluetooth devices, or any electronic gadgets
If found with any prohibited item, your candidature will be cancelled immediately.

Before reporting to the exam centre, the candidates are advised to check the WBJEE JECA exam day guidelines. Some of the important WBJEE JECA exam day guidelines are:
- Candidates are advised to report to the exam centre atleast an hour before the examination commences.
- At the exam centre, candidates will be required to present their WBJEE JECA hall ticket and identity proof.
- The candidates are requested to co-operate with the authorities during the security check.
- No electronic items will be allowed inside the exam centre.
- Candidates will be allowed to leave the exam centre only after the paper is over.
Before reporting to the WBJEE JECA exam centre, the candidates are advised to check which items are prohibited. Candidates will not be allowed to carry any electronic devices i.e., mobile phones, laptops, tablets, smart watches, calculators, etc., inside the examination centre. No extra pen and paper will be allowed. If the candidates are found with any prohibited item inside the exam centre, then they will not be allowed to continue with the examination.
WBJEE JECA 2025 seat allotment dates have not been announced. Candidates will be able to check their WBJEE JECA seat allotment result online at wbjeeb.nic.in/jeca. No other mode will be used to declare the seat allotment result. Allotment of seats will be done based on the candidate's rank, preferences, category and seat availability. Separate seat allotment results will be declared for the different rounds of WBJEE JECA counselling.
When reporting at the exam centre, the candidates will be required to bring with them their WBJEE JECA hall ticket and one original proof of identity.
One of the following proofs of identity can be submitted before the authorities at the centre - Aadhaar Card/Voter ID/Passport/PAN Card/School ID or any Govt. authorized photo proof of identity. If the proof of identity is not submitted, the candidates will be prohibited from attempting the exam.
During the Examination
Go through the important pointers listed below carefully and follow them diligently:
Question Booklet & OMR Distribution
- Question booklets and OMR sheets will be given before the test begins.
- Check that your allotted OMR number and the number mentioned on the question booklet are the same. If they do not match, immediately ask the invigilator to replace the whole set from same series (A/B/C/D).
Before You Start Writing the Exam
- Sign at the top of your question booklet.
- Read all instructions carefully on both the OMR sheet and the question booklet cover page.
Filling Details on OMR Sheet
- Write your question booklet number and roll number in the correct spaces.
- Darken the corresponding circles for question booklet number, roll number, and booklet series (A/B/C/D).
- Write your name in BLOCK letters, along with your exam centre name and signature.
- Avoid scribbling or making any marks on the OMR sheet. Your answer sheet can get rejected.
- In case you make a mistake, do not overwrite. Ask the invigilator to strike off, rewrite correctly, and countersign.
Verify Your Details
- Match your admit card details (name, photograph & roll number) to the details present on the attendance sheet.
- Immediately inform the invigilator in case of any mismatch, they will take care of the issue.
When the Test Starts:
- Do NOT open the question booklet unless your invigilator instructs to do so.
- Open instructed, check that all pages on the booklet are present and readable.
- If there is any missing or damaged page, get the booklet replaced from the same series.
During the Test
- Maintain complete silence inside the hall.
- Any talking, signalling, or disturbance will be treated as misconduct.
- Using unfair means may lead to cancellation of your exam and possible debarment from future tests.
After the Examination
- Keep your confirmation page, admit card, and rank card safely. These cannot be downloaded after the exam or counselling e
- To obtain a duplicate copy (Admit Card/Rank Card), apply to the Board within the permitted time, along with a INR 500 fee per document (via bank draft to “West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board,” payable at Kolkata).

The WBJEE JECA test centres will be made available online. Cities where the entrance test will be held can be viewed through the WBJEE JECA test centres. The WBJEE JECA will be held in different centres located across different districts of West Bengal. While making the application, the applicants need to choose their desired test zones for the entrance test.

No. WBJEE JECA will be carried out as an offline test, i.e., pen-and-paper-based test. Answers to the questions need to be mentioned on specially designed OMR sheets, supplied by the authorities. From the given options, candidates would need to choose and mark the correct answer by completely darkening the suitable circle/bubble with a blue/black ink ball-point pen.

- Caste certificates will be verified by government-appointed officers at the time of verification and admission.
