The Panjab University, Chandigarh (PUCHD) will be conducting PU LLB entrance exam 2023 in July tentatively for admissions to three-year LLB course. Candidates appearing for PU LLB 2023 have to prepare for the entrance exam with respect to the exam pattern and syllabus. For this they should refer to the recommended books for PU LLB entrance exam 2023 that are based on main subjects of the question paper i.e. general knowledge, Legal Aptitude and, Reasoning Ability and Knowledge of English. 

PU LLB 2023 Exam Pattern

Before checking out the books for PU LLB preparation, candidates should know about the exam pattern as provided below:

1 marks for a correct attempt. 

- 0.25 marks for each wrong attempt.

Best Books for PU LLB 2023: Current Affairs and General Knowledge

The candidates need to cover last year's topics including, Important awards of the year – sports, science, literature and arts, Major UN bodies, their functions locations, Overview of Indian history and geography, Physical geography, science and environment as well as, Important happenings in the area of the Indian Constitution or Justice system. The section carries major weightage in the question paper with 40 marks, therefore candidates should refer the books mentioned below to prepare for GK and Current Affairs:

  • General Knowledge by Disha Experts 

Besides, to cover current affairs of the past six months candidates should refer to online websites, legal GK social media pages, magazines, and newspapers. 

Best Books for PU LLB 2023: Legal Aptitude

For this section, candidates need to cover the topics - Indian Constitution, its structure, sections and schedules, IPC and the CrPC, Torts, Vicarious Liability, Strict Liability, Law of Crimes, Contracts and Constitutional Law, International Law, Intellectual Property Rights, Legal Awareness covering Constitutional Law and Polity.
