The Panjab University, Chandigarh (PUCHD) will be conducting PU LLB entrance exam 2025 in July tentatively for admissions to three-year LLB course. Candidates appearing for PU LLB 2025 have to prepare for the entrance exam concerning the exam pattern and syllabus. For this, they should refer to the recommended books for PU LLB entrance exam based on the main subjects of the question paper i.e. general knowledge, Legal Aptitude and, Reasoning Ability and Knowledge of English.

PU LLB 2025 Exam Pattern

The candidates need to cover last year's topics including, Important awards of the year – sports, science, literature and arts, Major UN bodies, their functions locations, Overview of Indian history and geography, Physical geography, science and environment as well as, Important happenings in the area of the Indian Constitution or Justice system. Best Books for PU LLB 2025: Legal Aptitude

For this section, candidates need to cover the topics - Indian Constitution, its structure, sections and schedules, IPC and the CrPC, Torts, Vicarious Liability, Strict Liability, Law of Crimes, Contracts and Constitutional Law, International Law, Intellectual Property Rights, Legal Awareness covering Constitutional Law and Polity.

 Panjab University BSc admission is entrance-based. The applicants only have to pass Class 12 with relevant subjects to be eligibile for admission. The final selection is based on the entrance exam score. Hence, candidates scoring less than 50% in Class 12 are eligible to apply for the course. But, they will have to clear the qualifying exam cut-off. In case someone fails to secure a seat at Panjab University for BSc, they can still pursue BSc at other colleges/universities offering the course. They can also check out the colleges offering online BSc courses.

Q:   What percentage is required for Panjab University BA admission?
A:

Candidates seeking admission to the BA or BA (Hons) course at Panjab University must have an aggregate of up to 60% in Class 12. This is the minimum aggregate that is needed to pursue BA (Hons) in Economics or BA (Hons) from the campus of PU. Also, for other PU-affiliated colleges offering numerous other specialisations, the requirement might also vary. Q:   How to get admission in Panjab University? What all exams should I give?
A:
Panjab University has a multi-step admission process which students need to follow to get into the university. Starting with the application, students are required to go through the course-specific entrance exam followed by other selection rounds (if applicable). After the selection rounds are over, course-wise merit lists are released on the official website (with the names of the shortlisted students) of the university post which interested candidates can submit the fee and confirm their admission. Additionally, Admission to all the UG and PG programmes is based on merit and entrance exam. Candidates must check the eligibility criteria on the official website of Panjab University, before filling out the admission form. The university conducts multiple entrance exams such as PU MET PUCET, PGLAW, PUMEET, PU UGLAW PU M.Phil and Ph.D. Entrance Test, among others, for admission to its UG, PG and doctoral-level courses.

No. Students are not allowed to carry any electronic device including a calculator. Candidates need not get worried about the calculator as the numerical which will be asked in the examination will be up the class 12.
