Not Having a Daily Study Routine for ATMA Exam

Not having a daily study routine when preparing for the ATMA exam, can decrease the chances of scoring well in the ATMA 2026 exam. Students should create an ATMA study plan which includes the important topics of ATMA exam syllabus 2026 and leaves room for mock tests and revision. Students should make a plan which inculcates topics, practice and revision. They should allocate time according to their weaknesses as well as strengths.

Students can make their preparation plan stronger by using a mix of resources, such as books, online videos, mock tests, ATMA PYQs, etc.

Poor Sectional Time Management

ATMA exam is conducted for three hours and each section has a sectional time limit of 30 minutes. Often students tend to spend extra time on a particular question, ultimately loosing time to cover the rest. So, students should avoid this at all times. They should not spend over 4 minutes on a difficult question if they don’t seem to get it right. They should not get stuck on a particular set and ignore the remaining Logical Reasoning sets.

To overcome this, students can attempt the easier questions first and then move on to the difficult ones. Students should follow the 40-60 second rule, i.e. they should not spend over 60 seconds to understand the question in the first read.

Association of Indian Management Schools does not conduct a centralised counselling process for the ATMA exam. Each participating institute releases its ATMA cutoff and students who match it have to appear for GD/PI/WAT rounds.
