XAT exam 2020 was conducted by XLRI, Jamshedpur on Janaury 5, 2020. XAT is a national level exam conducted for admission to the institute’s MBA programmes. The XAT exam scores are also accepted by 11 XAT Associate Members and over 600 MBA colleges across India, for admission to their management programmes. Some of the popular B-Schools which accept XAT are SPJIMR-Mumbai, IMT-Ghaziabad, MDI-Gurgaon, LIBA-Chennai, KIIT-School of Management, BIMTECH and others.

XAT 2020 registration began in the third week of August, 2020. Aspirants planning to take the XAT exam 2020 must complete the registration process before the last date. Registration fee for XAT 2020 exam is Rs 1700. XAT 2020 result was announced in January, 2020. XAT Eligibility Criteria

  • XAT 2020 eligibility criteria includes Graduation in any stream from a recognized university. Candidates in their final year of Graduation are also eligible to apply.
  • Aspirants must note that there is neither minimum marks nor age limit in XAT exam.

XAT Exam Pattern

XAT exam 2020 was conducted in online mode at various exam centres in 46 cities across India. The exam was of 3 hours containing 100 questions from Decision Making, Verbal & Logical Ability, Quantitative Ability & Data Interpretation and General Knowledge sections. +1 marks for correct answer – 0.25 mark for incorrect answer.

The XAT syllabus is vast and encompasses all the topics of verbal and logical reasoning, quant, date interpretation, general knowledge. XAT exam has one peculiar section called decision making. XAT Question Paper

XAT 2020 question paper had 100 MCQs from the above mentioned four sections. Each section will have certain number of questions. Marks allotted to each question is 1. There will be negative marking in XAT exam 2020. Aspirants planning to take XAT exam 2021, must practice questions from previous years’ XAT question papers (available online) to understand the pattern of type of questions asked in the past. XAT Selection Process 

XLRI, Jamshedpur conducts Group Discussion (GD), Essay Writing (EW) and Personal Interview (PI) after the declaration of XAT result. Selection of candidates for GD/EW/PI is done based on XAT cut offs. Soon after the declaration of XAT cut off, the shortlisting process begins wherein the candidates who meet the minimum cut off percentile have to fill an online form for participation in GD/EW/PI. The GD/EW/PI round is held in February in Jamshedpur, Delhi, Mumbai and Kolkata. Final result is announced in April.
