As we know that XAT is the toughest exam among all the MBA entrance exams. So it is obvious that GDPI of XAT would be also tough to some extent. But trust me, preparing smartly for GDPI with effective strategies can get you into institutes that take XAT score. You should also know that XAT GDPI process varies from institute to institute.

Now, if we talk about GD, topics are based on current affairs, current happenings, some serious issues of the country, education, business, etc. 

XAT GD Preparation Tips

  1. Try to be careful during your GD. Your each and everything is noticed during GD. 
  2. Make sure you focus on the quality of content during GD rather than its length. 
  3. You should have a better knowledge of trending GD topics (mentioned above). 
  4. Try to involve the whole group during your turn. 
  5. Be careful of your body language. 
  6. Be a contributor and leader during your GD. 
  7. Make the best and effective use of time given to you before your GD. 
  8. Good communication skills, clearness, politeness, good audibility must be there in your speech during GD. 
  9. The way of presenting your thoughts to others should be good as well as easy. 
  10. Be confident enough, grab the opportunity of winning shot during your GD. 

After your successful GD phase, comes the Personal Interview (PI) phase comes. In your PI, moderators are generally looking for your skills through their different questions. The main thing which is checked by the moderator during your PI is that whether the candidate is fit for this institute by evaluating your answers.

XAT PI Preparation Tips

  1. Make sure you have clear and wise answers to the questions which are generally based on your profile, academics, reasons for pursuing MBA (Why MBA?), strength – weakness, etc. 
  2. Answer the questions asked by moderators in a natural way (Moderators are experts with much experience). 
  3. Be honest, confident enough during your PI. 
  4. Make sure you are thorough of what is written in your resume. 
  5. Have a positive and smiling attitude. 
  6. Your patience and stress level will also be checked. So don’t get much stressed by some questions. 
  7. Simply answer the question with confidence and honesty. 
  8. If you don’t know the answer to some questions, then simply apologise but please don’t lie. 
  9. Don’t be so fearful or serious. It can harm somehow during your PI. 
  10. Take care of your body language and be cool and calm.
