XAT registration 2027 is underway for admission to XLRI Jamshedpur and 700+ MBA colleges in India. The XAT application form was released on July 15, 2026 at xatonline website. Candidates have to register and create a login ID to fill the XAT form.

XAT registration last date is December 6, 2026. It is critical to fill the XAT application form at the soonest to get the test city of preference because XAT test centre allocation is done first-come-first-served basis. XAT Registration 2027: Step-by-Step Process

Step 1: Visit the XAT Official Website

Go to XATONLINE.IN website to register for the exam. The XAT form can be filled in online mode only

Step 2: Create XAT Login Credentials

Click on new registration option and enter basic details to create login. Verify it with OTP received in email/mobile phone

Step 3: Fill Personal Details

Once registered, go to candidate dashboard and fill the application form with personal details such as gender, category, address, parents’ details, etc.

Step 4: Enter Academic and Work Experience Details

Enter class 10, 12 and graduation mark. If you have PG degree you can add details of it too. If you have work experience, you must fill in the details as it adds weight to your profile.

Step 5: Select XLRI Programmes

Select XLRI Jamshedpur or NCR campus and your preferred MBA programme

Step 6: Select XAT Test Cities

Select test cities for centre allotment. Select six cities in order of preference from 1 to 6

Step 7: Upload Photograph and Signature

Upload a recent passport size photo in colour and a scanned copy of your signature on a white background.

Step 8: Preview and Submit the Application Form

Go through all the entries and make changes if required. Thereafter submit the form to move to fee payment window.

Step 9: Pay the XAT Form Fees

In the last step of XAT application form submission is fee payment. The form will not be accepted until you pay the XAT fees.

Additional Fee for XLRI Programme

Along with the XAT fees, candidates will have to pay fee for applying to XLRI too. Those who will select a XLRI campus and course will have to pay the following amount.

Eligibility Criteria for XAT 2027

Before filling the XAT application form, candidates must ensure that they fulfill the eligibility criteria as mentioned below:

The minimum eligibility criteria for XAT 2027 is graduation. The degree should be from a UGC recognized university
There is no minimum marks requirement for either Reserved or Unreserved categories
Candidates having passing marks in graduation are eligible for XAT form filling
Final year graduation students can also apply for the exam
Professional degree holders (equivalent to bachelor’s degree) such as CA/CS/ICWAI can also apply
There is no age limit to fill the XAT application form and appearing in the exam

XAT Application Form 2027: Photo and Signature Specifications

Instructions regarding scanned documents to be uploaded during XAT 2027 application process:

Test city options cannot be edited once the XAT application form is submitted
The application form submission will not be completed until the XAT fee is paid
On successful payment of XAT exam fees, an e-Receipt will be generated. Non-generation of 'E-Receipt' indicates PAYMENT FAILURE
On failure of payment of XAT fees, candidates must login again and repeat the payment process
If the e-receipt is not generated, the online transaction may not have been successful
Candidates should take a print out of the XAT form fee payment confirmation page for future correspondence with XAT office
Preferred Web browsers to fill the application form are Internet Explorer (version 11 and above), Mozilla Firefox (version 50 to 61) and Google Chrome (version 50 to 69)

How to Edit XAT Application Form 2027?

Candidates can edit their XAT application form 2027 any number of times until the fee is paid. Once the fee payment is done, the XAT 2027 registration form will be locked. The next possibility of XAT form correction will be only during a short window announced by the examination body. The first round of XAT correction window is from October 16 to 17, 2026. Candidates who shall have applied for the exam before October 16, will be able to edit their form. Here's the process to follow to edit already submitted XAT form.
