NMAT Retake Registration 2025: The Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC) has closed the NMAT registration. GMAC administers the NMAT exam thrice during a test window. Candidates can apply for their first attempt of NMAT exam followed by scheduling. The official website of GMAC, mba.com, hosts the link to fill NMAT application form 2025. As per the NMAT exam dates and schedule, a candidate can only appear for a subsequent attempt of NMAT after 15 days of his/her first attempt.

Q: Who is eligible for NMAT exam?

NMAT exam is conducted for admission to more than 45 b-schools in India. The exam eligibility criteria can vary from the eligibility criteria of a particular institute. Additionally, MBA eligibility conditions for all participating institutes can vary. However, the NMAT exam eligibility remains the same. The space below mentions the NMAT eligibility criteria:

Candidate must have a bachelor's degree, completed under 10+2+3 or four years of education pattern, irrespective of the stream.
Aggregate score in the graduation degree level should not be less than 50 per cent the final year of the degree course.
Candidates waiting for results or are currently in the final year of graduation are eligible to apply for NMAT exam.

Those who are yet to pass the bachelor's degree course get a provisional admission until the graduation mark sheet and certificate of the qualifying examination are submitted at the participating institute.

Q: When does GMAC commence the NMAT registration process?

NMAT by GMAC registration is now open. Candidates aspiring for MBA admissions through NMAT can expect to apply for the exam until October 10. As per the NMAT examination process in the past exam sessions, GMAC conducts the NMAT exam from within a testing window facilitated until the third week of December. Candidates can appear for the NMAT exam thrice during this window. Candidates have to complete the retake registration to apply for another exam take.

Visit the official website for NMAT 2025, i.e. mba.com/exams/nmat
For first time visitors, click the button reading 'Register for NMAT by GMAC.' Candidates who have already registered must click the link reading 'Already registered? Login here'

Candidates must enter the following details to create mba.com account. This account can be used for registration of NMAT or GMAT exam.

Verify the captcha followed by clicking on the button reading 'Create an account'
Login using the credentials received on the registered email ID.
From the login dashboard, click on the button reading 'NMAT by GMAC Dashboard'

Fill the application form with personal details, followed by uploading a passport size photograph and clicking on the next button

Enter the contact information, with alternate contact details, communication address, and permanent address. Click on the 'next' button to proceed

Enter education and work experience details, followed by clicking on the 'Next' button.

Add school preferences. followed by adding some additional details about other MBA exams.

Q: Will I have to fill a separate application form for NMAT and participating institutes?

Yes. Candidates will have to fill the NMAT application form to appear for the exam. To apply for admission based on NMAT scores, candidates will have to fill the application form at desired college website. All NMAT participating institutes have a separate admission window. Therefore, candidates must be cautious of crucial deadlines to apply for admission based on NMAT exam scores. Besides a separate application form, several participating institutes have a criterion to only accept the NMAT score from the first attempt. Therefore, candidates must check the eligibility as well as the admission deadline of the desired college that accepts NMAT scores for MBA Admission.

Q: Is there any provision of NMAT application form correction?

No, there is no provision of form correction in the NMAT exam. The 'School Preference' and 'Communication Preference' fields in the application form are enabled after the payment of the application fee. All the particulars must be carefully cross-checked before submitting the NMAT application form. Candidates who make errors in the NMAT registration form will have to fill the form again with a new phone number and email ID. Additionally, such candidates have to pay the application fee again as the fee is non-refundable once paid. Therefore, candidates must be cautious while filling the NMAT application form.

NMAT 2025 Registration: Image Upload Specifications

Candidates need to upload a photograph while filling the online application form for NMAT 2025. NMAT application may get rejected if the candidates do not follow the below mentioned upload specifications:

Candidates must upload photgraph in JPG, PNG, or JPEG formats only.
Candidates must upload the photo in a portrait format.
Eyes of the applicant must be open and clearly visible
The uploaded photo should have white or light coloured background.
The photograph should not be more than 6 months old.
Uploaded photo must be front facing with face distinctly visible at the centre.
Shoulder tops should be also clear on the photo.
Photos not having the above-mentioned specifications or size will get rejected.
Candidates must not upload a photo where the test administration staff cannot sufficiently authenticate the identity.
Photos with a dark color background will get rejected.

Q: Is NMAT registration available throughout the year?

No. Candidates can apply for NMAT exam only within a specified timeline. NMAT registration is open and will be available till October 10. The registration window remains open for a period ranging from 65 days to 90 days. However, candidates are allowed to create an account with GMAC for NMAT exam. Account creation is available for free, throughout the year. Candidates need to pay the NMAT registration fee only after they have filled the application form and are proceeding to schedule the exam attempt.

Q: Will I be notified about the submission of the NMAT application form?

Yes, after submission of the NMAT application form, candidates will receive a confirmation email on their registered email id. Also, while filling the NMAT application form, candidates can select the preferable mode of communication to receive a notification on preparation tools and other information. The email comprising the NMAT form submission confirmation will have the registration number. Candidates need to preserve this email for any future references. Eligibility Criteria for NMAT Registration 2025

Institutes accepting NMAT scores for admission set the eligibility criteria for admission. With 49+ b-schools accepting NMAT scores globally, there may be a distinction in the eligibility criteria of an individual institute. Candidates are advised to check the institute-specific eligibility criteria for admissions through NMAT 2025.

Qualifying Exam: Candidates must hold a graduation degree (irrespective of the discipline).

What is NMAT Rescheduling Window?

NMAT candidates can choose the NMAT reschedule option in less than 72 hours from the scheduled time and date of the exam. Check steps to register for NMAT 2025 reschedule below:

Click on the “Schedule Exam” button
Select the date and time of the test
Select the preferable location
Complete the process by paying the rescheduling fee via Credit Card only

Q: Can I reschedule the NMAT exam after issuance of NMAT admit card?

Yes. GMAC issues the NMAT admit card as soon as the candidates completes the scheduling process. Candidates are able to choose the NMAT reschedule option at least 72 hours before the exam date. Hence, the option to change the exam date is available after the issuance of the admit card. However, with only 72 hours left for the exam, GMAC will not allow the candidates to access the rescheduling window.

Q: What is the scheduling and rescheduling of NMAT exam?

Scheduling the NMAT exam refers to choosing a time slot for the test. Aspirants can schedule the test by paying the registration fee. Via the scheduling window, candidates can select the date, venue, time slot for the NMAT exam. Candidates can, however, reschedule the date using the NMAT rescheduling window if they, due to some unforeseen reason, are not able to appear for the test on the scheduled date. Besides the scheduling and rescheduling window, there is another provision available in NMAT known as retake scheduling and retake rescheduling. It implies that candidates can retake the exam, if they wish to, by applying for the retake exam schedule option. Similarly, the retake exam scheduled earlier can be rescheduled if the candidates are unable to appear for the retake exam on the scheduled date.

Q: How can applicants know about the time slot and date of NMAT exam?

The date, time slot and exam venue will be printed on the NMAT admit card. It is a chain of the process; first, the candidate will have to schedule the test using the 'schedule test' option available under the exam tab on the candidate dashboard in NMAT by GMAC account. The test scheduling option will be available after they have received a confirmation email from the exam conducting authority about the receipt of the NMAT application fee. Candidates can then choose the date and time slot of the test as per their convenience for NMAT by GMAC exam. The facility to book date and time slot along with the selection of preferable locations of the test centre is available on a first-come-first-serve basis.

Q: What is the procedure to retake NMAT exam?

Retake option for the NMAT exam is available in the candidate's existing registration account after the first attempt. The option to retake the test is present in the Retake tab in the dashboard of the candidate account. Candidates have to wait 15 days before retaking the NMAT exam again. It is subject to payment of the application fee. Candidates can retake the NMAT exam twice during the test window. That brings total attempts in one exam session to three. To apply for each attempt, candidates have to pay the application cum exam fee. Besides applying for retake, candidates who wish to take only one attempt can also do so. In such cases, the available score will be sent to the selected colleges.

Q: How many times is NMAT registration window facilitated?

GMAC facilitates NMAT registration window once every year. Registration for the NMAT exam is accepted one time in one exam session. Since candidates can take the test thrice, GMAC facilitates the NMAT retake registration window soon after the exam window starts. For an attempt over and above the regular attempt, candidates have to use the NMAT retake registration window. Besides the NMAT registration and NMAT retake registration, the candidate portal also hosts a scheduling window. This scheduling window helps candidates to choose the exam slot and exam venue. The allotment of exam slot and test centre is done on first-cum-first-serve basis.

Q: What is meant by NMAT retake window?

GMAC conducts NMAT with a aspirant-first approach. Candidates can appear for NMAT three times during one exam session. That means, GMAC provides one main attempt and two retake attempts for the NMAT exam. The meaning of retake of the NMAT exam implies that any applicant can attempt the test thrice, including the first attempt. In other words, the process of reappearing for the exam is known as exam retake. Candidates aspiring for a retake attempt have to apply using the NMAT retake window. However, candidates can reappear for the exam, not before 15 days after the first attempt. Similarly, third exam attempt can only be scheduled on a date 15 days after the second attempt for NMAT exam.

NMAT Registration for Test Takers with Disabilities

Candidates with disabilities can request accommodation and scribe facility for NMAT exam day.

They need to upload a scanned copy of the Disability Certificate. NMAT by GMAC helpdesk will verify their application and update the status for accommodation and other facilities such as:

Extra time for NMAT exam (beyond 120 minutes)
Scribe/Reader for the exam day
Larger fonts in the testing system
Mobility assistance (wheelchair facility, helper staff, etc.)

Once the status is verified and updated, the e-payment window will be activated for payment of NMAT registration fees. Pearson VUE will contact the candidates to provide accommodation at the test centre location and required equipment for disabled candidates.
