NMAT 2026 Eligibility Criteria
NMAT 2026 Eligibility Criteria: The Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC) sets the basic eligibility requirements for the NMAT exam. Besides GMAC, Colleges accepting NMAT scores may have their own eligibility criteria for MBA admissions. According to NMAT eligibility criteria, candidates should hold a bachelor's degree. Common eligibility requirements for management programs include academic qualifications, age restrictions, and work experience. Candidates must meet the NMAT eligibility criteria 2026 if they aim for admissions based on it's scores.
GMAC initiates the NMAT 2026 registration on the official website, mba.com. Candidates should refer to NMAT exam eligibility criteria before proceeding to complete the registration process and also know the requirements of B-schools accepting NMAT scores.

NMAT Eligibility Criteria 2026
NMAT eligibility criteria 2026 include basic requirements for appearing in the NMAT by GMAC exam. However, candidates must also meet admission eligibility criteria of the B-school they wish to apply to. GMAC conducts NMAT exam, while participating B-schools may have different academic, work experience and programme-specific requirements.
- Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree under the 10+2+3 or 10+2+4 education pattern from a recognised university in any discipline.
- Minimum Marks: Candidates must have at least 50% aggregate marks or equivalent CGPA in graduation.
- Final-Year Students: Students in the final year/semester or awaiting results can apply provisionally.
- Age Limit: There is no upper age limit to appear for NMAT.
Note: Candidates who are appearing in the final year examination of their graduation degree are also eligible for NMAT 2026. However, admissions to participating institutes will be provisional, subject to the fulfillment of the above-mentioned eligibility conditions.
Commonly asked questions
NMAT scores are accepted for admission at more than 50 b-schools. There is no common admission policy for all NMAT participating colleges. All participating colleges for NMAT will set its own eligibility conditions, cutoff scores, academic requirements, work experience preference, and selection process.
Some of the NMAT participating colleges may have selection rounds, such as Written Ability Test (WAT), Group Discussion (GD), or Personal Interview (PI). Some b-schools may have more weightage for NMAT scores, while some might have more weightage for the internal selection rounds.
Candidates can take NMAT up to three times during one admission session. Candidates are allowed to register for NMAT and schedule an exam attempt. However, the acceptance of NMAT scores depends on the NMAT participating colleges. All NMAT colleges will have different selection criteria. Some of the NMAT colleges, such as NMIMS will only accept the NMAT score from first exam attempt. Therefore, attempting NMAT exam three times will be of no use if the applican t is desirous of admission to any of the campuses of NMIMS.

- A bachelor's degree or its equivalent from an accredited university or other institution in any discipline is required of candidates, with a minimum cumulative GPA of 50%.
- All MBA schools in Mumbai take into account the results of national admission tests like the NMAT. It is necessary for candidates to achieve the minimum cutoff scores that each college has established.

No, you cannot get direct admission into Amity University, Noida for the MBA/PGDM course. Students have to either attempt the CAT or the NMAT exam for admission and then sit for the selection process (if qualified), which involves GD (Group Discussion) and PI (Personal Interview).
