All India AYUSH Post Graduate Entrance Test (AIAPGET) is a single entrance test for admission to the AYUSH PG courses in India. The exam conducting body, NTA, released the eligibility criteria for AIAPGET 2026. Those applying for this examination must check the AIAPGET eligibility criteria before filling AIAPGET application forms. If the student is found to be ineligible during the admission process, their admission will be forfeited. Thus, students must fill out the AIAPGET application form 2026 after confirming their eligibility for the respective course.

Aspirants of AIAPGET must know, eligibility criteria for this examination are not decided by the National Testing Agency. There are various authorities that have defined the AIAPGET eligibility criteria; NTA merely displays these conditions on the information brochure.

AIAPGET Eligibility Criteria 2026: Qualification Requirements

Central Council of Indian Medicine defines the eligibility criteria for the PG courses in Ayurveda. To apply for these courses, the students should have completed their BAMS and have a provisional/permanent registration certificate issued by CCIM.

For Homoeopathy courses

The eligibility criteria for PG courses in Homoeopathy have been defined by the Central Council of Homoeopathy (CCH). The basic qualification required for these courses is a valid BHMS/Graded BHMS degree. The student must also possess a provisional/permanent registration certificate issued by CCH.

For Siddha courses

The eligibility criteria for PG courses in Siddha have been defined by the Central Council for Research in Siddha (CCRS). The basic qualification required for these courses is a valid BSMS degree. The student must also possess a provisional/permanent registration certificate issued by CCRS/State Board/Universities/Deemed Universities.

For Unani courses

The eligibility criteria for PG courses in Unani have been defined by Central Council for Research in Unani Medicine (CCRUM). The basic qualification required for these courses is a valid BUMS degree. The student must also possess a provisional/permanent registration certificate issued by CCRUM/State Board/Universities/Deemed Universities.

Q:   I am 32 years old. Can I apply for AIAPGET?
A:

Yes, there is no upper age limit for the candidates appearing for AIAPGET. Therefore, you can apply for this examination. Candidates are advised to read all the eligibility criteria before applying online for the exam. Like age, there is no capping on number of attempts for AIAPGET. Candidates can appear as many times as they want. One of the important eligibility criteria for AIAPGET exam candidates should have BAMS/ BUMS/ BSMS/ BHMS/Graded BHMS degree and must have completed one year internship in the given deadline.

Q:   Can I apply offline for AIAPGET?
A:

No. National Testing Agency NTA only accept online application form for AIAPGET exam. The application form for AIAPGET (All India AYUSH Post Graduate Entrance Test) is submitted online through the official website. The application process starts with online registration. Candidates have to register on the website, fill in the application form, upload the necessary documents, and pay the application fee online. Before applying online, candidates are advised to check the eligibility criteria set by NTA for AIAPGET. 

Q:   What are the eligibility criteria for the AIAPGET?
A:

Students will have to fulfill the following eligibility criteria for AIAPGET exam:

  •  Internship: Students should have completed one year of internship
  • Educational Qualification: Students should have passed B.A. MS BUMS BSMS BHMS and Graded BHMS degrees or possess provisional pass certificates. Certificate Permanent or provisional registration Certificate of B.A. MS BUMS BSMS BHMS Graded BHMS degree qualification issued by the CCIM, CCH, state board, universities, or deemed universities.
  • Age and number of attempts: There are no upper age criteria for the AIAPGET exam.
  • Students can appear as many times as he likes as there is no capping on the number of attempts. 

AIAPGET Eligibility Criteria 2026: Internship

To be eligible for AIAPGET 2026, a student must complete the period of internship on or before June 30, 2026. Students who will not complete their internship by this date are not eligible for AIAPGET 2026.

As proof of eligibility, all applicants must produce a copy of their Internship Completion Certificate, which must state the starting and completion dates of their internship.

AIAPGET Eligibility Criteria 2026: Age or Attempt Limit

According to the AIAPGET eligibility criteria, there is no age limit for students applying for this examination. Also, there is no cap on the number of attempts permitted to get admission to Top PG AYUSH courses.

AIAPGET Eligibility Criteria 2026: For PwD students

Students who wish to apply under the PwD category must also fulfil the general AIAPGET eligibility criteria stated above. Apart from these, they must also be in compliance with the following definition, “A person with benchmark disability, as defined in Section 2 (r) of the RPwD Act, means a person with not less than 40 percent of a specified disability where specified disability has not been defined in measurable terms and includes a person with disability where specified disability has been defined in measurable terms, as certified by the certifying authority”.

A specified disability, as defined in Section 2 (zc) of the RPwD Act, means the disabilities as specified in the Schedule of the said Act, which includes:

  • Mental illness
  • Speech and Language Disability
  • Visual Impairment: Blindness and Low Vision
  • Hearing Impairment: Deaf and Hard of Hearing
  • Blood Disorder: Haemophilia, Thalassemia, Sickle Cell Diseases
  • Chronic Neurological Conditions: Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson’s Diseases
  • Multiple Disabilities: more than one of the specified disabilities, including Deaf-Blindness
  • Locomotor Disabilities: Leprosy, Cerebral Palsy, Dwarfism, Muscular Dystrophy, Acid Attack Victims
  • Intellectual Disability: Specific Learning Disability (Dyslexia, Dysgraphia, Dyscalculia, Dyspraxia and Developmental Aphasia), Autism Spectrum Disorder

Such students will not be eligible to apply for PG admission processes of these universities/institutions.
