AIAPGET exam pattern 2026 will be released along with official information brochure. Exam pattern is designed by National Testing Agency. Both AIAPGET syllabus and exam pattern are essential ingredients of a rock-solid preparation. Exam pattern of AIAPGET helps define many important parameters, such as mode of examination, medium of question paper, duration of examination and marking scheme. Since examination is conducted across various test centres in India, the exam pattern of AIAPGET brings uniformity to examination. NTA will announce date for AIAPGET 2026 exam.

AIAPGET 2026 Exam Pattern: Details

  • Examination will be conducted in double shift for all courses
  • Students will be allotted a desktop at exam centre. They will be provided a pen/pencil and a sheet of paper (for rough work) at exam centre.
  • Students will be given 120 minutes to solve question paper

AIAPGET Question paper pattern:

  • Questions will be multiple choice /objective type
  • Each question would have four response options
  • There will be 120 questions which can be solved in any sequence

AIAPGET marking scheme:

  • Four marks will be awarded for every correct answer
  • One mark will be deducted for every incorrect answer
  • Marks would neither be awarded nor deducted for unattempted questions
  • Total marks scored by a student = (4 x Total number of correct answers) – Total number of incorrect answers

Q:   Will there be any long answer questions in AIAPGET?
A: 

According to AIAPGET exam pattern, there will be no descriptive questions in exam. Questions will be objective type. So, there will be no long answer questions in AIAPGET 2025. A total of 120 questions will be asked in AIAPGET exam and students will be given 120 minutes to answer them.

Q:   I am 32 years old. Can I apply for AIAPGET?
A: 

Yes, there is no upper age limit for the candidates appearing for AIAPGET. Therefore, you can apply for this examination. Candidates are advised to read all the eligibility criteria before applying online for the exam. Like age, there is no capping on number of attempts for AIAPGET. Candidates can appear as many times as they want. One of the important eligibility criteria for AIAPGET exam candidates should have BAMS/ BUMS/ BSMS/ BHMS/Graded BHMS degree and must have completed one year internship in the given deadline.

Q:   Who conducts AIAPGET exam?
A: 

The National Testing Agency NTA is responsible for conducting the All India AYUSH Postgraduate Entrance Test. However, NTA's role is limited to conducting the examination and processing the results. The admission/ counselling is conducted under the supervision of the AYUSH Admissions Central Counseling Committee (AACCC). Eligible candidates have to participate in the counselling process for seat allotment. They have to register and declare preference for college and course for counselling.

Q:   I had marked two questions for review in AIAPGET. Both of them were incorrect. Will marks be deducted for them?
A: 

If you have marked two questions for review in AIAPGET and both of them are incorrect, marks will be deducted for them. The answers marked for review will be treated as attempted and will be marked accordingly. So, if you have marked two incorrect questions for review, you will lose 2 marks for each incorrect question. However, if you have marked two correct questions for review, you will receive 2 marks for each correct question. Marking scheme is released along with the official information brochure.
