AIAPGET Exam Pattern 2027: Marking Scheme, Total Marks, No. of Questions

The National Testing Agency will notify the AIAPGET 2027 exam pattern and syllabus in the information bulletin. The information bulletin is expected to be released around May 2027. The candidates are advised to read and understand the AIAPGET exam pattern as notified by NTA because it will help them to shape their preparation. It also helps them understand marking scheme for exam.

The candidates must prepare all the topics given in the AIAPGET syllabus because the NTA can ask any number of questions from any topic. The exam is conducted online as a Computer-Based Test (CBT). Based on the previous year's pattern, there is a provision of negative marking in the AIAPGET exam. The candidates are advised to avoid any guesswork during the exam to avoid a deduction of marks.

Questions will be multiple choice /objective type
Each question would have four response options

Q: Will there be any long answer questions in AIAPGET?

According to AIAPGET exam pattern, there will be no descriptive questions in exam. Questions will be objective type. So, there will be no long answer questions in AIAPGET 2025. A total of 120 questions will be asked in AIAPGET exam and students will be given 120 minutes to answer them.

AIAPGET 2027 Negative Marking

The candidates should note that the AIAPGET exam has negative marking in the exam. The NTA deduct 1/4 of the marks assigned for the correct answer. It was introduced to reduce the guess work in the exam.

AIAPGET 2027 Marking Scheme

The marking scheme is another important factor in the preparation. It helps the candidates to calculate their marks. The candidates should note the NTA will deduct the marks from the aggregate for each incorrect answer as per the following marking scheme.

AIAPGET marking scheme:

Four marks will be awarded for every correct answer
One mark will be deducted for every incorrect answer
Marks would neither be awarded nor deducted for unattempted questions
Total marks scored by a student = (4 x Total number of correct answers) – Total number of incorrect answers

Q: I am 32 years old. Can I apply for AIAPGET?

Yes, there is no upper age limit for the candidates appearing for AIAPGET. Therefore, you can apply for this examination. Candidates are advised to read all the eligibility criteria before applying online for the exam. Like age, there is no capping on number of attempts for AIAPGET. Candidates can appear as many times as they want. One of the important eligibility criteria for AIAPGET exam candidates should have BAMS/ BUMS/ BSMS/ BHMS/Graded BHMS degree and must have completed one year internship in the given deadline.

Q: Will there be negative marking in AIAPGET?

Yes, there is negative marking in AIAPGET. As per the existing exam pattern, for each incorrect response, one mark is deducted.

Q: Who conducts AIAPGET exam?

The National Testing Agency NTA is responsible for conducting the All India AYUSH Postgraduate Entrance Test. However, NTA's role is limited to conducting the examination and processing the results. The admission/ counselling is conducted under the supervision of the AYUSH Admissions Central Counseling Committee (AACCC). Eligible candidates have to participate in the counselling process for seat allotment. They have to register and declare preference for college and course for counselling.

Q: I had marked two questions for review in AIAPGET. Both of them were incorrect. Will marks be deducted for them?

If you have marked two questions for review in AIAPGET and both of them are incorrect, marks will be deducted for them. The answers marked for review will be treated as attempted and will be marked accordingly. So, if you have marked two incorrect questions for review, you will lose 2 marks for each incorrect question. However, if you have marked two correct questions for review, you will receive 2 marks for each correct question. Marking scheme is released along with the official information brochure.
