The Odisha Joint Entrance Examination OJEE is conducted once a year, usually in the month of May. The exam is conducted for admission to various undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the state of Odisha. As per the official notification of OJEE a candidate can only appear for the exam once in a year. There is no provision for multiple attempts in the same year. Therefore, if you want to appear for OJEE you can do so only once in a year. A good score in OJEE can be subjective and can vary according to the level of difficulty of the OJEE question paper. What may be considered a good score for one course or category may not be the same for another.

The OJEE exam is a computer-based test for all courses. However, the OJEE exam pattern differs according to the programme you are applying for. The course-wise OJEE exam duration is as follows: 1. For MBA, LE B.Tech, LE B.Sc/ LE, MCA/LE MCA M.Tech and MArch courses is 120 minutes (2 hours). 2. For the B.Pharma course is three hours or 180 minutes. 3. For the M.Pharma Integrated MBA and LE B.Pharma courses, the exam duration is one hour or 60 minutes. This means, candidates will have approximately one minute per question to solve it. Candidates must take care of saving their answers at every step as the moment sectional time limit will get over, the screen will automatically move to the next section. The OJEE exam is conducted in three slots for most courses. The OJEE exam slot will be mentioned on their admit cards and there is no provision of changing the exam slot. Candidates must reach the OJEE exam centre at least and hour before their slot timings.

No, OJEE exam will only be conducted in computer-based test mode. Earlier, OJEE was held in two modes computer-based test mode or online and paper-based test mode or offline, but 2019 onwards OJEE exam is being held in online mode only. There is also no provision of offline fee payment either. Candidates must note that OJEE registration is also an online process. The students need to visit the OJEE exam centre in order to take the OJEE exam. Candidates will be required to mark the correct answer by choosing the radio bullet against the right option given on the screen. Candidates will be given four options for each question and they will be required to choose the right one on the screen.

There will only be multiple-choice questions in the OJEE question paper 4. Four marks will be awarded for the correct answer and one mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer. No marks will be awarded or deducted for questions which have not been attempted. Here is a detailed OJEE MBA exam pattern: 1. The total marks for the exam are 480. 2. Total number of questions is 120. 3. There are four sections, I. e. Quantitative Techniques, Verbal reasoning and Comprehension, Analytical and Logical Reasoning, General Awareness and Business Fundamentals 4. Each section carries 30 questions.

The syllabus of the OJEE mentions topics based on the subjects for which you are applying. For instance, the OJEE MBA syllabus differs from the OJEE B.Pharma syllabus. The general syllabus of OJEE is as follows: 1. Quantitative Techniques: It includes topics like geometry, average, percentage, quadratic equations, and Trigonometry. 2. Reasoning: This includes topics like codes, data interpretation, series, blood relations, statements, and conclusions. 3. Verbal ability: It includes topics like Passages, Sentence Completion, Grammar, Word puzzles, Action, cause and effect 4. General Awareness: Questions on Current Affairs sports, international events, awards, and related events are asked in this section. Selecting the right books is of utmost importance to clearing the OJEE exam. Here is a list of important books for OJEE: 1. Verbal Reasoning: A Pearson Guide to Verbal Ability and Logical Reasoning, written by Nishit K. Sinha 2. Reasoning: A Modern Approach to Logical Reasoning by famous author R. S. Aggarwal 6. Core topics: NCERT for Science-related topics in UG courses and graduate textbooks for PG courses.

Any graduate candidate with a 50 percent aggregate can apply for OJEE. The applicant must also be a citizen of India. There is no age bar for the candidates appearing for the exam. However, candidates appearing for BTech Marine Engineering exam must not be more than 22 years of age. Candidates in the final year of graduation or awaiting their result can also apply provisionally. They will be required to present their marksheets at the time of admissions.

Aspirants should start preparing for the OJEE exam at least six months before the test date.  This duration will be enough to complete the OJEE syllabus thoroughly and practice ample number of mock tests. The OJEE exam is similar to other MBA entrance exams so if a candidate has appeared for any other MBA exam before OJEE, they need to only do exam based preparation and focus on exam-specific mock tests. OJEE 2025 exam will likely be conducted in the second week of May 2025.

The OJEE Cell has announced the OJEE exam dates. The OJEE exam 2025 will be conducted from May 2, 2025, to May 6, 2025 and on May 10 and 11. The registrations for OJEE exam will begin on January 30, 2025. The registration window will approximately be opened for two months and close on March 20, 2025.

The OJEE admission process will be completely online and the schedule will also be announced online on the official website. The OJEE 2025 exam will be conducted in three-four shifts like every year. The schedule along with the exam timings and duration will be announced along with the OJEE exam date. 

OJEE eligibility criteria are the requirements for appearing for the OJEE exam. OJEE scores are accepted in over 40 top B-schools in the country. The OJEE eligibility criteria are prescribed by the OJEE Cell, which is the OJEE exam conducting authority. The minimum requirement or eligibility criteria for appearing for OJEE is graduation. The basic OJEE eligibility criteria include:

• Age Limit: There is no age bar for the candidates appearing for postgraduate courses, however, candidates appearing for BAMS/BHMS or Pharma must be at least 17 years of age as of December 31
• Nationality: Candidates appearing for OJEE must be a citizen of India. If they wish to take admissions to government colleges in Odisha then the candidates must be a native of Odisha. 
• Minimum Educational Qualification: For undergraduate courses, the candidate must have cleared Class 12 or equivalent from a recognized board. As for postgraduate courses, the candidate must hold aDiplomaorBachelorsdegree from a recognized university or institute from a relevant stream.
• Work experience: OJEE exam eligibility criteria do not include work experience. Both working and non-working candidates can apply for the exam

OJEE application process 2025 will commence on January 30, 2025. The registration window will be opened for approximately two months and close on March 25, 2025. The application schedule is announced on the official website of OJEE. The OJEE application process starts with the OJEE registration and application fee payment. Candidates have to submit their OJEE application form before the deadline. Candidates are required to choose their preferred institutes they wish to apply for MBA, and other course admissions through OJEE score. Candidates will be eligible for admission to only those institutes that they select in the OJEE application form.

Special OJEE/2nd OJEE registrations will also begin in the first week of June 2025, online. The schedule of every course of the OJEE 2025 exam will be announced at the same time and will be available online.
