West Bengal NEET 2025 Counselling Schedule : Check Registration & Seat Allotment Dates

WBMCC releases the WB NEET cutoff after the announcement of NEET result. Candidates need to check the WB NEET cutoff before applying for the targeted college and course (MBBS/BDS). The cutoff score indicates the basic score which makes a candidates eligible to participate in the counselling process. The counselling cutoff for reserved and unreserved categories differ. Therefore, candidates are advised to check and then apply for the WB NEET counselling.

The WB Choice Filling and Locking process for round 1 counselling took place in August 2024 last year. The choice filling schedule for each round is mentioned below:

The registration for the WB NEET counselling schedule will be started the WBMCC in last week of June, 2025 tentatively. The registration window for each round will open separately. Registration is the first and foremost step to participate in the counselling process. Candidates need to pay a mandatory counselling application fee and provide necessary documents and details which has been further be shared with the counselling body.

There will be three rounds of counselling to be conducted by the WBMCC for WB NEET counselling. Fresh registration will be invited and accepted in each round of counselling. Candidates can opt out of counselling at any step adhering to the WB NEET UG seat surrender policy. Before each round of WB counselling, a seat matrix will be released for the candidates that will enable them exercise choice filling and locking option.

The WB NEET counselling dates have not been released so far. The authorities will start the WB NEET counselling registration tentatively in last week of June 2025. West Bengal Main Computerised Counselling (WBMCC), will release the official notification stating the important dates and guidelines regarding the WB NEET counselling process soon.  

WB NEET seat allotment result was released after each round of counselling. The seat allotment result is declared to inform the candidates about the college and course in which they are eligible to seek admission. After the result announcement, document verification and institute reporting is conducted. The allotment result for different categories is released separately by WBMCC. 

The seat surrender of the admitted candidate during the process of Round 1 admission is allowed without any penalty money. The seat surrender of the admitted candidate during the process of Round 2 admission is allowed but with forfeiture of admission fees. Such candidate must apply in person before the admitted college for seat surrender and must receive the server generated Seat surrender letter. The seat surrender is not allowed from Round 3 counseling any further till the counseling process is over. The seat surrender with payment of bond penalty is possible only after the counseling of all rounds is over for the current academic year.

The WB NEET counselling 2025 comprises of a series of steps which are necessary to follow for admission to MBBS/BDS course. The last step is Reporting at the Institute to pay the fee and confirm the admission. Here are the tentative dates related to Reporting at the Institute for each round:

The document verification for the WB NEET counselling is conducted before the candidate reports at the allotted institute. It is important for the candidate to visit the institute with the original documents to confirm the admission. In case the information provided at the time of registration doesn’t matches with the documents submitted, the admission will be cancelled.

WBMCC organized a stray vacancy round after the Round 3 to fill the vacant seats. The stray vacancy round was the final round to fill up the vacant NEET UG seats in the state of West Bengal.
