NIRF 2025 Rankings are out. As per the latest NIRF 2025 rankings, Indraprastha IIT Delhi ranks #63 under the category 'Engineering'.
The UCEED 2026 results have been announced for admission to the BDes course. The counselling is scheduled to begin on Apr 21, 2026.
A few more updates are given below:
- The JAC Delhi 2026 counselling registration window for admission to the BTech course will tentatively open in May 2026.
- PG Diploma in Computer Science & Artificial Intelligence (Online mode) admissions are open. Candidates can apply for the course through the official institute's website.
- The GATE 2026 exam for admission to ME/MTech/PhD courses has concluded. Results are scheduled for release on Mar 19, 2026.
IIIT Delhi Highlights 2026
The Indraprastha Institute of Information Delhi, also known as IIIT Delhi or IIIT D, is a state-level public institute founded in 2008. Its main campus is located at Okhla and has also been approved by the UGC. IIIT Delhi is a member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) and has been accredited by the NAAC with Grade 'A'. The institute is funded by the Government of Delhi. It has set up an R&D lab in collaboration with IRISYS Corporation Limited, South Korea. The IIIT Delhi was ranked 63 under the 'Engineering' category of the NIRF Rankings 2025.
Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology IIIT Delhi has also signed an MoU with UNIST, for a period of five years to promote academic cooperation between both the two institutes. IIIT Delhi admit candidates to a few courses without any entrance examination. No, you can't take admission in M.Tech at IIIT Delhi without appearing for the GATE exam. The institute offers this two-year full-time programme at the postgraduate level. Aspirants must meet the basic eligibility of passing graduation in the relevant stream from a recognised university in addition to clearing the GATE exam. For seat allotment, candidates have to register for the CCMT counselling.
Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria can apply by visiting IIIT Delhi official website. Admission to the MTech CSE, ECE, and CB is based on GATE score. For CB course, selected candidates have to go through an online interview round as well. Yes, admission to a MTech course is IIIT Delhi is accepted without GATE score. However, it depends upon the chosen specialisation. GATE score is mandatory for the MTech CB course admission.
