IIIT Delhi Team Bags Award for Innovation in AMR Surveillance 2024; Check Details
The IIIT Delhi won the Innovation Award at the AMR Surveillance Data Challenge 2024, being the only team from India to receive the honour, highlighting its leadership in global AMR research and innovation.
Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology (IIIT Delhi) has announced that its research team has won the Innovation Award at the 2024 AMR Surveillance Data Challenge. Led by Prof. Tavpritesh Sethi and supported by team member Jasmine Kaur, the project "AMROrbit Scorecard: A Dynamic Phase Space Model for Strategic Monitoring and Actionable Insights on Global AMR Trajectories" stood out among 56 teams from 27 countries.
IIIT-Delhi’s team was the only one from India to win, underscoring the institute’s leadership in global AMR research and innovation. This global competition, supported by the Global Antibiotic Research and Development Partnership (GARDP), Paratek Pharmaceuticals, Pfizer, and Vivli, celebrates groundbreaking data-driven solutions to combat Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR).
The AMROrbit Scorecard project presents an innovative dynamic phase space model that provides strategic insights into the global progression of AMR, empowering healthcare stakeholders with actionable data to curb the spread of resistance. Through its advanced data-driven approach to AMR surveillance, the IIIT-Delhi team has demonstrated exceptional creativity and a strong commitment to tackling one of the most pressing health challenges of our time.
"The Innovation Award reaffirms the critical global need for actionable insights and data-driven strategies to address the escalating threat of AMR.
