TG POLYCET 2026: SBTET will conduct the TG POLYCET 2026 in May 2026. The authority will release the TS POLYCET application form 2026 in March 2026 at sbtet.telangana.gov.in. Candidates who wish to apply for the examination must fill out the application form before the last date. The application process will be completed only after registration, form filling, uploading the documents and payment of fees. The authority will soon announce the TS POLYCET 2026 exam date along with the schedule for registration, admit card download, result and more.

Candidates must score a minimum of 35% marks in the qualifying exam to apply for the TS POLYCET exam. Registered candidates will be issued the TS POLYCET admit card 2026. Candidates will require the admit card to appear for the exam. The Telangana Polytechnic Common Entrance Test will be conducted in offline mode for 150 minutes. What is TS POLYCET Exam?

State Board of Technical Education and Training (SBTET), Hyderabad holds TS POLYCET entrance test at state level for filling seats in diploma courses offered by SBTET in Government, Government-Aided, Private Un-Aided Polytechnics, and Polytechnics run in existing Private Un-Aided Engineering Colleges in Telangana State. TS POLYCET full form is Telangana State Polytechnic Common Entrance Test. Admissions are based on the POLYCET rank only via an online counselling process conducted by SBTET itself.

Candidates can check the eligibility criteria below before they apply for the TS POLYCET exam 2026:

  • Candidates should be an Indian National.
  • There is no age restriction for appearing for POLYCET 2026.
  • Candidate should belong to the State of Telangana /Andhra Pradesh.
  • Candidates should have passed the SSC Examination conducted by the State Board of Secondary Education, Andhra Pradesh/ Telangana or another examination recognised as equivalent thereto by the Board of Secondary Education, AP/TS.
  • Candidates must have Mathematics as one of the subjects in the qualifying exam and must have at least 35% marks in the qualifying examination.
  • Candidates belonging to NIOS/TOSS/APOSS/CBSE/ICSE/OTHER Examinations recognised as equivalent to SSC by Telangana State SHOULD HAVE PASSED ALL THE SUBJECTS including Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, with a minimum of 35% Marks in each subject. 
  • Candidates who appeared or are appearing for the SSC or equivalent examination being held in March/April 2026, and whose results are yet to be declared, can also appear for TS POLYCET.

Candidates have to fill up the TS POLYCET application form at polycet.sbtet.telangana.gov.in or at the nearest TSOnline centre/coordinating centres to apply for the exam.   1. Open the POLYCET website - polycet.sbtet.telangana.gov.in 2026.
  2. Click on TS POLYCET registration 2026 direct link.
  3. After entering the registration details verify the mobile number with OTP An SMS with the Registration number and password will be received to the registered mobile number.
  4. Login in with the Registration number and Password to enter into the TS POLYCET application form.
  5. Click on Pay Now.
  6. Select the payment gateway and proceed with payment, and make the payment.
  7. After the successful payment click on fill TS POLYCET application form tab.
  8. Enter the Personal details and click on Get Details.

SBTET, Telangana will release the TS POLYCET admit card 2026 online. Only registered candidates will be able to download the TS POLYCET hall ticket. To download the admit card, candidates have to log in using the required details. No offline mode will be used to release the TS POLYCET 2026 admit card.

The TS POLYCET hall ticket 2026 will have details about the candidate’s name, roll number, photograph, exam date and time and the complete exam centre address. TS POLYCET 2026 Result

The State Board of Technical Education and Training, Hyderabad will release the TS POLYCET result on the website at polycet.sbtet.telangana.gov.in. The marks obtained in TS POLYCET will be considered for assigning ranks, based on which admission to diploma courses will be done. Candidates can download the TS POLYCET rank card under their respective logins. Two separate Ranks will be generated for MPC (120 Marks) and the MBiPC ranks will be generated by scaling down the Maths marks to 30. 

Tie-breaking in TS POLYCET:

  • For MPC: In case of a tie in rank at the entrance test, the marks of the following subjects in TS POLYCET in the same order as given below are considered for resolving the tie:
    1. Mathematics
    2. Physics
    3. Date of Birth 

In case the tie is still not resolved, the candidate who has secured a higher percentage of marks in the qualifying test is to be considered to have obtained a better rank, to resolve the tie. 

  • For MBiPC: In case of a tie in rank in TS POLYCET, the marks of the following subjects in TS POLYCET in the same order as given below are to be considered for resolving the tie.
    1. Biology
    2. Physics
    3. Chemistry
    4. Date of Birth

In case the tie is still not resolved, the candidate who has secured a higher percentage of marks in the qualifying test will be considered to have obtained a better rank, to resolve the tie.  

TS POLYCET Passing Marks:

  • For MPC: The minimum marks for declaring a candidate to have passed the Entrance examination shall be 30% (36 marks out of 120). Candidates belonging to Scheduled castes or Scheduled Tribes shall be assigned ranking by obtaining a minimum of one (01) mark in the entrance test.
  • For MBiPC: The minimum marks for declaring a candidate to have passed the Entrance examination shall be thirty percent i.e., 36 marks in Maths (60/2), Biology, Physics and Chemistry put together. Candidates belonging to Scheduled castes or Scheduled Tribes shall be assigned ranking by obtaining a minimum of one (01) mark in the entrance test.

  • Agricultural Polytechnics of Prof. Jayashankar Agricultural University, Hyderabad and Veterinary Polytechnics of PVNR TVU, Hyderabad the ranks will be given in preferential order of marks secured in Biology, Physics, Chemistry If still, the tie persists, the rank may be resolved by seniority based on the Date of Birth of the candidates. While resolving the tie based on the Date of birth as entered in the S.S.C. Certificate of the Candidate, a candidate born earlier will be deemed to have obtained better rank. In case the tie is still not resolved, the candidate who has secured a higher percentage of marks in the qualifying examination will be considered to have obtained a better rank, to resolve the tie.
Q:   Can I request for re-evaluation of TS POLYCET scores?
A: 

No. TS POLYCET result once released cannot be challenged for re-evaluation. Candidates are given a chance to challenge the provisional keys. Based on the challenges the final answer ey is released and the result is based on the final keys only. Therefore, the scores in the result of TS POLYCET is the final ones.

TS POLYCET Counselling 2026

The State Board of Technical Education & Training will conduct the TS POLYCET counselling for qualified candidates. Candidates will have to register and pay the processing fee for the TS POLYCET counselling 2026. After all of the documents are verified, candidates will be able to select their choice of colleges and courses in order of preference. The seat allotment result will be announced online. Candidates will be allotted seats as per their rank, preferences, category and seat availability.

Documents needed for TS POLYCET counselling

Candidates have to carry the following documents for the document verification process:

  • Memo of Marks of SSC or its equivalent Examination.
  • Community Certificate from Revenue Authorities, issued by officers, not below the rank of Mandal Revenue Officer (MRO) in respect of BC, SC and ST candidates.
  • Certificate showing the Date of Birth.
  • POLYCET Hall ticket and Rank Card.
  • Certificate of study for the entire period of education from Class IV to X.
  • Caste and category certificates as needed.

Q:   Do I need the TS POLYCET admit card after the exam is over?
A: 

TS POLYCET hall ticket is an important document and shall be preserved carefully after the examination till the admission into the Polytechnic is completed. The TS POLYCET admit card is the proof that the candidates have attended the exam. Candidates must not mutilate the admit card until the TS POLYCET counselling and admission process is complete.

Q:   What is the cutoff for TS POLYCET?
A: 

The State Board of Technical Education and Training will release the TS POLYCET cutoff at the official website. TS POLYCET cutoff mark means the minimum marks needed to pass the exam and get place in the TS POLYCET rank list. 

  • TS POLYCET cutoff for Polytechnics Courses: 30% of 120 marks i.e., 36 Marks in Maths, Physics, Chemistry put together.
  • TS POLYCET cutoff for Agricultural Polytechnics of Prof. Jayashankar Agricultural University, Hyderabad and Veterinary Polytechnics of P.V. Narsimha Rao Veterinary University, Hyderabad and Sri Konda Laxman Telangana State Horticultural University: 30% of 120 marks i.e., 36 Marks in Maths (60/2), Biology, Physics, Chemistry put together.
Q:   I have not received my TS POLYCET admit card. What to do?
A: 

In case the candidate did not receive the admit card, they may obtain the same from the website polycet.sbtet.telangana.gov.in. A candidate with incmomplete or rejected application form will not be issued the admit card. In case of error in the TS POLYCET admit card, candidates have to get it  corrected through the coordinating center immediately and get a revised admit card. No candidate will be allowed with incorrect data and photo on the Hall ticket to appear for the Examination. Hall ticket is not transferable. Any tampering of Hall Ticket will automatically lead to the disqualification of the Candidate.

Q:   How to check the TS POLYCET result?
A: 

Candidates can check the TS POLYCET result on the official website using their TS POLYCET hall ticket number.

Q:   How to book slots for TS POLYCET counselling certificate verification process?
A: 

Candidates of all categories (OC/EWS/BC/SC/ST/MINORITY), have to book their slots (Selection of Help Line Centre, Date & Time) to attend certificate verification at the nearest or convenient Help Line Centre (HLC) within the scheduled date. To book the slots candidates have to login into the portals and select the lik for slots booking for the certificate verification process. Without payment of the Processing Fee and Slots Booking, the candidate is not permitted to attend for Certificate Verification. The candidate shall be permitted to attend for Certificate Verification only at the Help Line Centre (HLC) on the date and time of slots booked only, as per the schedule.

Q:   How do I know the TS POLYCET exam centre allotted to me?
A: 

The TS POLYCET exam centre 2025 is allotted to the candidates via the admit card. Candidates can check the exam centre allotted to then printed on the issued admit card. The detailed exam centre name and address will be mentioned on the TS POLYCET hall ticket. TS POLYCET hall ticket 2025 is an important document and shall be preserved carefully after the examination till the admission into the Polytechnic is completed. The TS POLYCET admit card is the proof that the candidates have attended the exam. Candidates must not mutilate the admit card until the TS POLYCET counselling and admission process is complete.

Q:   Can I carry the soft copy of the TS POLYCET admit card instead of the hard copy?
A: 

No, candidates have to carry a physical copy of the TS POLYCET admit card. A soft copy is not accepted.

Q:   Can I reappear for TS POLYCET to improve my score?
A: 

No, applicants can appear in TS POLYCET exam once a year only. However, to improve the score in the exam candidates can re-appear in the exam next year. Candidates need to re-apply and complete the application process separately for both years to re-appear in the exam.  

Q:   What will be the mode of TS POLYCET application form?
A: 

TS POLYCET application form will be available in online mode only at polycet.sbtet.telangana.gov.in. Candidates have to complete the registration to fill the application form.
