PUBDET 2025: Exam: Dates, Registration, Eligibility, Syllabus, Results

Presidency University Bachelor’s Degree Entrance Test or PUBDET is held to pick students for BA and BSc (honours) courses at Presidency University, Kolkata. It is a offline test, done with pen and paper. Students who want to study here can apply for up to two subjects while filling the PUBDET application form. Presidency University is very popular in West Bengal, so around 40 to 50 thousand students apply every year. The number of seats is announced before PUBDET counselling and seat allotment. Usually, seats are much less than the number of applicants, which makes the exam really competitive.

Academic Qualification

• Candidates should have cleared the higher secondary examination (XII) that is conducted by CBSE, West Bengal or an equivalent exam, not before 2020.
• The candidate must pass XII with at least five recognized subjects, including English language and excluding Environmental Science. The aggregate is to be calculated in the best four recognized subjects.

The PUBDET 2025 application forms are released online on the exam body’s website. To fill the form, you need to register on the official site with your name and contact details. You also have to pay an application fee while filling it. The exam body gives a chance to correct mistakes in the form, but that application correction window is now closed. Remember, the form is only available online on the official website. Any other way of submitting the form will not be accepted for the entrance exam.

PUBDET 2025 Application Fee

Candidates can pay the application fee for PUBDET through net banking/ debit card/ credit card or by cash using an Allahabad Bank e-challan.

PUBDET Exam Centres 

Applicants are required to fill in their exam centre choices while filling out the PUBDET 2025 application form. If their preferred exam centres are at capacity, they will be allotted another based on proximity to their preference. Exam centres won't be changed once the admit cards are released.

Note: Any exam centre/ zone may be dropped if an adequate number of candidates are not available or under any other unavoidable circumstances. If any such incidents arise, the candidate will be allocated to an alternative exam centre.

PUBDET admit card was released on 13 June 2025. The PUBDET admit card download date has now expired. You can download your PUBDET admit card from the official website using the login details you got during registration. After downloading, you must take a printout of the PUBDET admit card. These admit cards, or hall tickets, must be carried to the exam centres. If you forget it, you won’t be allowed to sit for the exam. Important info like roll number, exam timing, reporting time, exam venue, and exam day instructions are all printed on the PUBDET admit card. Here are the steps to download PUBDET 2025 admit card:

• Go to wbjeeb.nic.in website
• Click on link indicating PUBDET 2025 admit card/hall ticket
• Enter login credentials for you PUBDET account 
• The admit card will open
• Click on download icon and save it

The WBJEEB declared the PUBDET 2025 result online. Candidates will have to log in using their login credentials to access the results, which are published in the form of rank cards. Candidates will be required to download and preserve PUBDET 2025 result cum rank cards, so that they can produce them during the counselling process. 

It must be noted that the exam body doesn't release a merit list. The steps to check the PUBDET 2025 rank cards are provided below.

Step 1: Candidate will have to visit the official website of PUBDET 2025 in order to check their rank cards. 

Step 2: On visiting the WBJEEB official site, students will have to click on the ‘PUBDET 2025 Rank Card’ tab, which will be available on the website.

Step 3: On clicking the link, candidate will be directed to a new page, where the aspirant will have to enter their application number, password and date of birth.

Step 4: Candidate will then have to click on the sign-in button.

Step 5: One can view their respective PUBDET rank cards. Results will be available to individual candidates. It will contain all relevant ranks and total scores.

Step 6: All are advised to download their rank cards and take a print-out for counselling process.
