Candidates will be able to download the scorecard and final key by logging in to their registered accounts at natboard.edu.in. The GPAT scorecard download link will be shared on this page when released.

The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) released the GPAT result 2026 on April 7, 2026, as a PDF download file at natboard.edu.in. Along with the results, the GPAT 2026 cutoff and merit list PDF were also released. The direct GPAT result, merit list PDF download links are shared on this page.

What is Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT)?

The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences conducts the Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test or GPAT exam for admission to MPharma or equivalent courses. GPAT scores are accepted by 800 participating institutes and all the All India Council of Technical Education-approved institutions and universities. Approximately 50,000 candidates take the GPAT entrance test every year. The NBEMS GPAT exam is conducted in one shift (Morning) at the designated test centres across India. The exam is a gateway to some of the top Pharmacy colleges in India.

NBEMS will release the GPAT final answer key 2026 on or after April 15. Candidates can download the GPAT answer key using the process shared below-

How to Challenge NBEMS GPAT 2026 Answer Key?

The provisional GPAT 2026 answer key was released on March 13 along with the response sheet and question paper. Candidates could submit objections against the provisional answer key till March 16, 2026 using the process shared below-

  • Visit the website- natboard.edu.in.
  • Select GPAT exam.
  • Click on application link.
  • Log in using user ID and password.
  • Go to the GPAT answer key challenge link.
  • Choose the question ID you want to challenge.
  • Upload supporting documents for your claim.
  • Pay the objection fee of INR 200 per challenge.
  • Submit the challenge.

Initially, the GPAT provisional answer key is released on the official website. Candidates have to log in using the application number and password or date of birth to download the answer key. The GPAT answer key carries all the answers to the questions asked in the examination. Students will be provided the facility to challenge the GPAT answer key 2026 by paying INR 200 per question within the stipulated time limit.

The GPAT final answer key will be released after taking the responses and suggestions from the students. Candidates can calculate and estimate their scores by using the final answer key.  After a few days, along with the GPAT result, the final GPAT answer key will be released by the exam conducting authority, NBEMS.

The GPAT admit card 2026 download link is available from March 2 to 7, 2026. It is important to take a coloured printout of the downloaded GPAT admit card because a hard copy of the same is mandatory for verification purposes at exam centre. Candidates not carrying a hard copy of their admit card were barred or restricted from appearing in the examination.

GAPT Exam Day Guidelines

The GPAT exam will be conducted on March 7, 2026. There will be a few initial preparations that candidates should prepare for entry to the examination hall. There is a set of particular guidelines that are to be followed by the candidates on the GPAT exam day. Below are the GPAT exam day guidelines in a nutshell:

What to carry on the GPAT exam day?

These items must be carried to the GPAT test centre on the day of the exam:  

  • Print a copy of the GPAT 2026 admit card downloaded from NBEM website.
  • One passport-size photograph (same as uploaded on the Application Form)
  • Original, valid, and non-expired photo ID
  • PWD certificate (if applicable)

What to avoid on the GPAT exam day?

Take a look at the list of items that must not be carried to the GPAT test centre on the day of the exam:

  • Textual material, Calculators, Docu-Pen, Slide Rule, Log Tables, and Electronic Watches with facilities of calculator, printed or written material, and bits of paper, mobile phone, pager or any other electronic device
  • Smoking, chewing gutka, spitting, etc. in the examination hall is prohibited.

Students who want to appear in the exam must have an idea about the syllabus of the GPAT exam. The authorities don't clearly define the GPAT exam syllabus 2026 in the official notification. Candidates will get to know the allotted GPAT 2026 exam centre through their admit cards. NBEMS released the list of locations of the GPAT exam centres, along with other critical exam information, in the official notification. This year NBE designated 114 exam cities in various states around the country where GPAT exam will be conducted. Candidates will have to enter four cities of their choice in preferential order. Maharashtra state has the highest 30 exam cities in which GPAT will be conducted. Students must note that allocation of GPAT exam centres will be done based on first cum first serve.

How to fill GPAT Application Form 2026

The NBE released the GPAT 2026 registration on December 23, 2025. The GPAT registration window was open for 20 days. The GPAT 2026 registration last date was January 12, 2026. The GPAT exam form 2026 was available on the NBEMS portal. Every year, all AICTE-approved Institutions, University departments, constituent and affiliated colleges conduct the GPAT exam to shortlist qualified students for admission into MPharma. Candidates were also given the option to make corrections to their form as well as uploaded documents.

GPAT Eligibility Criteria 2026

Q:   Can I get into Delhi Pharmaceutical Sciences and Research University without GPAT?
A: 

For post graduation M.Pharma, the candidate must attempt the GPAT-Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test and qualify it. For admission to the B.Pharma program at DPSRU, a minimum aggregate of 55% marks in the Higher Secondary/Intermediate examination with English as one of the compulsory subjects is required. Apart from English, a combination of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and/or Biology (PCM/PCMB) is compulsory.

For last few years, the GPAT exam difficulty level has been moderate to difficult. While the core pharmaceutical sciences questions remain conceptual, the exam has increasingly included application-based and numerical questions, especially in Pharmacology, Pharmaceutics, and Pharmaceutical Chemistry.

Yes, candidates appearing in the final year of Bachelor's Degree BPharma are eligible to appear for the GPAT 2026 exam. Along with checking the educational qualification one must ensure that they fulfill the GPAT eligibility criteria 2026 age wise also. It is recommended to check eligibility details for GPAT before filling the form. 

Q:   I appeared for the GPAT exam last year. Can I again apply this year as well?
A: 

Yes, there is no restrictions on the number of attempts that a candidate can give to appear for the GPAT entrance exam. However, there is a lower age limit to appear for the exam. Candidates not less than 17 years of age can only apply for the GPAT exam. The GPAT 2026 application process is generally conducted for a period of 30 days. Yes, applicants who miss their login details of GPAT exam to download the admit card are advised to retrieve it by entering the basic details like candidate's name, father's name, mother's name, date of birth, and security pin. Students can recover both their application ID and password to download the GPAT 2026 admit card. 

Q:   Can I show the GPAT admit card at the exam centre from my phone?
A: 
No. It is mandatory for a candidate to have a hard copy of their admit card and carry it to the exam centre. No electronic devices are allowed while appearing for the exam. It is mentioned in the guidelines of NTA that the GPAT admit card hard copy is mandatory to be presented at the time of appearing in the exam. The hard copy/print out of the GPAT admit card is the only valid proof of identification and verification which is acceptable at the GPAT test centre. Candidates failing to produce the GPAT admit card at the test centre in hard copy format will not be allowed to centre the test centre.
Q:   What is the process to challenge GPAT answer key?
A: 

Candidates are advised to visit the GPAT official website, Click on View Question Paper to view or challenge the Answer keys. Thereafter, click on the link Click to view /Challenge Answer Key. To challenge the option, use any one or more of the Option IDs given in the next four columns by clicking the check box. Save your Claims before moving to the next screen. Upload supporting documents in which you can select Choose File and upload. Click on Save your Claims and pay fee After the fee payment, the challenges will be saved.

Q:   Can I request a re-evaluation of my GPAT answer sheet?
A: 

No, applicants who appeared in the GPAT 2026 exam must note that there is no such procedure of re-evaluation of the GPAT answer sheet 2026. Once the authorities prepared the final GPAT answer key, then evaluation of the candidates is done based on it. Hence, there is no such procedure of reevaluation of the GPAT answer sheet.

When two or more candidates get the same or equal marks in the GPAT exam, this situation is known as a tie-breaker. In this scenario rank will be allotted by assessing marks in Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Chemistry fewer negative responses in the paper, and lastly the one older in age will be given preference. NTA has set the rules and guidelines in the prospectus issued at the time of registration. For further clarification, candidates can refer to the GPAT brochure.

NBEMS the official exam conducting body is the responsible authority to release the GPAT cutoff at the official website. The GPAT cutoff will also be released by the participating institutes that accept GPAT scores. NBEMS doesn't conduct the counselling for M.Pharma admissions. It will be responsible for releasing the merit list of GPAT 2025 along with the result mentioning the status of qualifying, name of candidates. Once the GPAT cutoff is announced by individual colleges/institutes, candidates can check the cutoff score on their individual websites to seek admission in the preferred course and college.
