GPAT result 2023 was released on July 1 by NTA at the NTA-GPAT official website. GPAT 2023 result was declared in the form of a scorecard which is available in PDF format. Candidates can download the GPAT scorecard online. Before the result announcement, NTA released the GPAT answer key 2023 on July 4, 2023. The GPAT result 2023 could be accessed through the official login of the NTA account at gpat.nta.nic.in. 

Earlier, NTA released the provisional GPAT answer key on June 1 and the last date to challenge the GPAT answer key was June 3, 2023. To download the GPAT scorecard, the application number and the password or the application number and date of birth details will be required. NTA did not release the GPAT 2023 cutoff and merit list along with the scorecards. However, the authorities may release this information later. NTA released the official notification to begin the GPAT 2023 application process on February 13, 2023. The GPAT registration window closed on March 16. Last year, NTA declared the GPAT result on May 20 and as many as 50,508 candidates out of 53,302 registrations appeared for the exam which was held in April.

 

Q:   How many students appeared in the GPAT 2023 exam?

A:

NTA has released the official statistics of the candidates who filled the GPAT application form. According to NTA, as many as 68,439 candidates registered for the exam and 62,275 candidates appeared for the exam. GPAT 2023 was conducted in 116 cities in 221 centres in a computer-based mode.  A total of 50,508 students appeared for the GPAT exam last year as per the official data shared by NTA.

Q:   When is the GPAT 2023 result likely to be announced?

A:

NTA declared the GPAT 2023 result on July 1. The GPAT 2023 scorecard has been released on the official website of the exam, gpat.nta.nic.in. The exam was conducted on May 22. The exam saw an attendance of 62,275 candidates out of 68,439 registered candidates. Candidates will have to log in to the GPAT 2023 website with their application number and date of birth and security pin and download the GPAT 2023 scorecard in PDF format.

Q:   How can I check my GPAT 2023 result?

A:

NTA has released the GPAT result only on the official website, gpat.nta.nic.in on July 1. It is important for the candidates to keep ready details such as their application number and date of birth to access the GPAT 2023 result. The GPAT result can be downloaded in the form of Scorecard which will again be available at the NTA-GPAT website. Candidates can access the merit list showing their AIR. It will be published on the website. NTA will not send any result detail on email or via post to the candidates who appeared for the exam.

How to Check GPAT 2023 results?

To check GPAT results 2023, candidates should follow these steps on the official website

  • Visit the official website of GPAT, gpat.nta.nic.in. or directly enter the link https://cnr.nic.in/NTAResult/Score/Login?apprefno=101022311

  • Click on the 'GPAT 2023 Result' tab

  • Log in using their application number and password/ date of birth and enter the Security Pin

  • Press the 'Sign in' button and then on the 'View result' button

  • Download or save the online scorecard. The candidates are advised to take at least three to four copies printed on A4 sheets

Q:   How can I retrieve my GPAT application number if lost?

A:

Candidates who have lost their GPAT application number can easily retrieve it by selecting the Forgot the application number, option present on the bottom right-hand side of the sign-in page. Candidates have to provide their basic details such as name, father's name, and date of birth to retrieve the application number. The GPAT application number is essential to download important documents such as GPAT admit card, GPAT scorecard, and other relevant documents at the NTA-GPAT website.

Q:   How can I retrieve the password to login into my NTA-GPAT account?

A:

Candidates who have forgotten their GPAT account password can easily retrieve it by selecting the Forgot password, option present on the bottom left-hand side of the sign-in page. Candidates have to choose one option out of the three and NTA will share a link either on your mail or on your mobile via SMS to generate a new password.

Q:   What will happen if two or more candidates get the same score in the GPAT exam?

A:

When two or more candidates get the same or equal marks in the GPAT exam, this situation is known as a tie-breaker. In this scenario rank will be allotted by assessing marks in Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Chemistry fewer negative responses in the paper, and lastly the one older in age will be given preference. NTA has set the rules and guidelines in the prospectus issued at the time of registration. For further clarification, candidates can refer to the GPAT brochure.

Q:   What is the validity of the GPAT 2023 scorecard?

A:
The validity of the GPAT scorecard is three years. One can use the GPAT 2023 scorecard, if qualified, till 2025, I. e. within three years of qualifying for the exam. GPAT scorecard is required by the participating institutes at the time of admission for the purpose of verification. Candidates must download and keep safe the GPAT scorecard as it is a mandatory document without which admission to top GPAT accepting institutes will not be granted.

Q:   Is GPAT scorecard required at the time of counselling?

A:
NTA does not conduct the counselling for the GPAT accepting colleges. However, the participating institutes furnish the list of important documents required at the time of counselling. Candidates are advised to take a printout/hardcopy of the GPAT 2023 scorecard as it will be required at the time of counselling for the purpose of verification.

Q:   How is the All India Rank (AIR) decided for the GPAT exam takers?

A:
The AIR rank in the GPAT result is secured on the basis of marks and percentages obtained in the GPAT exam 2023. GPAT result is published on the official website of the NTA-GPAT website. Candidates will be able to check the merit list which will be published in PDF format at the official website. The AIR of the exam takers will be mentioned on the merit list and on the GPAT scorecard.

Guidelines for GPAT Result 2023 Tie-breaking

After the GPAT 2023 result announcement, if in any case, two or more candidates score equal marks then a tie will be considered. The following in descending order will decide the final result:

  • Marks Obtained in Pharmaceutics
  • Marks obtained in Pharmaceutical Chemistry
  • Candidates having fewer negative responses in the paper
  • Candidates older in age

Declaration of GPAT 2023 Merit List

National Testing Agency or NTA will announce the merit list after the GPAT 2023 result declaration. The merit list is prepared on the basis of marks and percentages obtained in the GPAT examination 2023. The merit list mentions the overall rank at the All India level, independent of the candidate’s category.

The National Merit Ranking (All India Rank) has been generated by the NTA on the basis of Marks secured against Total Marks. In case Total Marks are the same for more than one candidate, the inter-se ranking has been done on the basis of marks obtained in Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Candidates having less negative responses, and Candidates older in age.

Q:   What is the cutoff required to qualify for the GPAT exam?

A:

NTA will soon release the GPAT cutoff at the official website. As per the exam analysis and considering that the difficulty level of the exam was easy to moderate, candidates from General category should score 163 marks, other backward classes 131 marks, schedules caste 103 marks, schedule tribe 76 marks, and EWS candidates 104 marks.

No, candidates are not allowed to carry GPAT question paper outside the hall because the exam is conducted in online mode. There is no physical distribution of the GPAT question paper. However, after the completion of the GPAT exam, NTA shares the GPAT question paper  at the official website.

NTA, the exam organising committee is responsible for designing GPAT question papers for the candidates. The questions are sent in by different subject matter experts and NTA selects the questions for the examination. No single person is responsible for setting the question paper.
