GPAT Counselling 2026. The counselling of GPAT 2026 qualified candidates is being conducted by participating institutes, universities, and state-level authorities. Candidates who cleared the exam need to visit the desired college or institute to take admission to MPharm courses. It may be noted here that the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) does not conduct the GPAT counselling.

The GPAT result 2026 was released on April 7, 2026. A total of 5,362 candidates qualified the exam. The GPAT 2026 exam was conducted on March 7, 2026.

GPAT Counselling 2026: MPharma Specialisations

Candidates must know that MPharma has various specialisations, and candidates need to choose one according to their interests. Though different colleges offer different specialisations, however, there are some traditional subjects available in almost all the AICTE-approved colleges. A few of the specialisations are:

  • MPharma in Industrial Pharmacy
  • MPharma in Pharmaceutics (Drug Regulatory Affairs)
  • MPharma in Pharmaceutical Chemistry
  • MPharma in Pharmacognosy
  • MPharma in Pharmacology

Seats in the desirable college and the desirable specialisation are subject to availability and are allotted on a first come first serve basis depending upon the score and marks obtained by the candidate.

Documents Required for GPAT Counselling 2026

Candidates need to produce the required documents during the GPAT counselling 2026. Have a look at the list of the documents required for GPAT admission process below-

  • Original copy of the counselling letter
  • Original copy of the GPAT 2026 admit card
  • GPAT 2026 scorecard
  • Original copy of 10 class mark sheet
  • Original copy of 12 class mark sheet
  • Original or the provisional copy of the Graduation certificate
  • Original copy of Character certificate
  • Category certificate (if applicable)
  • Latest passport-size photographs

GPAT 2026 counselling dates may differ for different ranks of students, as the colleges and the institutes are going to conduct the counselling separately. GPAT Counselling Process 2026

The Counselling of GPAT 2026 will be conducted in four stages. Have a look at the detailed GPAT counselling process below-

GPAT Counselling: Verification of Documents

  • The participating institutes and colleges will release the GPAT 2026 counselling dates separately, and candidates are advised to keep a check on the dates as per their ranks.
  • Candidates have to report to the particular college or institute with the required documents
  • The counselling authority will not ask the candidates to submit the original copies of the documents, as they will be required only for verification purposes

GPAT Counselling: Web Options Entry

  • Candidates have to click on the ‘Web Options Entry’ portal on the official website of GPAT
  • NBEMS will publish a list of the participating institutes and colleges
  • Candidates have to choose and submit the names of all the preferred institutes as many as they want to.
  • Candidates are advised to review the choices carefully and have to ‘Save’ and ‘Lock’ the chosen preferences. After saving the preferences, the candidates will not be able to alter their chosen preferences.
  • Candidates can take a printout of the list of chosen colleges or institutes for future reference

GPAT Counselling: Seat Allotment 

  • The allotment of seats will be based on the merit list and candidates’ scores.
  • The GPAT 2026 seat allotment order can be downloaded from the official website

GPAT Counselling: Reporting to the Institute

  • Once the allotment process is complete, candidates must reach the allotted institute with the required documents.
  • The admission fee (as per the fee structure of each institute) must be paid to conclude the admission process.

Q:   What is meant by GPAT cutoff?

GPAT cutoff refers to the minimum scores which candidates must obtain in order to qualify for the exam or to be eligible to participate in the counselling or the selection process at the participating institutes. The GPAT cutoff is shared by NBEMS on the official website for the candidates who wish to apply to MPharma colleges. Every institute has set their individual admission criteria which the applicants need to follow to seek admission to the preferred course and college.   

Q:   Who declares GPAT cutoff?
A: 

NBEMS the official exam conducting body is the responsible authority to release the GPAT cutoff at the official website. The GPAT cutoff will also be released by the participating institutes that accept GPAT scores. NBEMS doesn't conduct the counselling for M.Pharma admissions. It will be responsible for releasing the merit list of GPAT 2025 along with the result mentioning the status of qualifying, name of candidates. Once the GPAT cutoff is announced by individual colleges/institutes, candidates can check the cutoff score on their individual websites to seek admission in the preferred course and college.

Q:   Will GPAT counselling be conducted in online mode or offline mode?
A: 

GPAT counselling was conducted on a pre-assigned date and time in offline mode. The venue location, time and date are mentioned on the call letter. The GPAT counselling registration is done via online mode for maximum institutes. Therefore, candidates will have to participate in both online and offline mode as per the procedure. 

Q:   Will I receive any intimation to participate in the GPAT counselling on email or through post?
A: 

Candidates are informed about the GPAT counselling venue, date, and time of reporting on their registered email address once they qualify the exam. But first, candidates would be required to register at the official website to participate in the GPAT counselling process.

Q:   Who conducts the GPAT counselling for admission to MPharma courses?
A: 

The GPAT participating colleges and the GPAT accepting institutes conduct the GPAT counselling for students seeking admission to MPharma programme on an individual basis. GPAT counselling is held on the basis of the cutoff scores released by NBEMS. Candidates have to register on an individual basis at GPAT colleges to participate in the MPharma counselling.
