CSIR NET 2024 Dec Life Science Anaysis OUT: The National Testing Agency (NTA) conducted the CSIR NET 2024 Dec Life Science Exam on March 1, 2025. Shift 1 was over at 12 PM and Shift 2 at 6 PM. Analysis is an important part of the examination as it provides information regarding the difficulty level of the examination, the question paper, the topics asked in the exam, etc. Candidates can predict, regarding the cutoff, whether it will rise or drop. The total number of questions asked in the exam was 145, and candidates needed to attempt 75 questions. The CSIR NET 2024 Life Science Exam is divided into three parts, namely Part A, Part B, and Part C. CSIR NET Dec Life Science Exam Analysis 2024: Student Reactions & Topics asked (Shift 1, March 1)

As per the students, CSIR NET 2024 Dec Life Science Shift 1 was moderate in overall difficulty and some students felt that it was moderate to difficult. Part C was more analysing type questions rather than theoritical questions. In comparison to last year December exam, todays exam is tough. Direct Questions were not asked in Part C, conceptual questions were asked more. Pattern is changed that is some of the questions or topics that are commonly asked but this time it is not. New questions were asked from various topics. Some of the questions were repeated from PYQ.

Topics asked in Shift 1

As per students, molecular biology questions were asked more or has more weightage. Questions were tricky. 

  • Applied questions were asked (techniques)
  • Cell Biology: Plasma membrane, nucleosome model
  • Developmental Biology: Drosophila, Frog/amphibian development, C elegance, etc.
  • Ecology: community ecology (similarities and differences), population
  • Dev Bio: Segment, polarity
  • Cell Biology: Protein sorting or transport (KDEL receptor)
  • Animal Physio: Blood test, growth hormone, stem cells
  • Evolution: Natural Selection, Speciation, etc.

  • KDL (C terminal domain)

  • Plant Physio: What derives ATP, light reaction, H+ ion gradient, RUBISCO

  • Genetics: Methods & Applied (Pedigree, molecular markers)

  • Cell Biology: Sym/Antiport (Match the following)

  • Unit 7: Cardiovascular system, excretory system

Q:   What are CSIR NET subjects?
A:

The CSIR NET exam consists of five subjects some of them are Maths, Physical Science, Chemical Science, etc. Part A in the exam is common for all candidates and Part B and C is subject-specific. Candidates need to select one subject and prepare well to clear the examination.

CSIR NET 2024 DEC Answer Key

The National Testing Agency (NTA) will release the CSIR NET Dec Answer Key 2024 one week after the exam was concluded. Candidates will be able to raise objections against the CSIR UGC NET Provisional Answer Key by using their login credentials into the official website for a specific time period. The CSIR UGC NET 2024 Dec session exam is ongoing. The Answer Key of CSIR NET will be available in the PDF format. After releasing the final answer key, CSIR NET Result & Cut-off will soon be published by NTA.

The National Testing Agency declare the CSIR NET Cut off. It will be released subject and category-wise. The cut off is prepared on the basis of several factors including difficulty of the exam, reservation norms, number of candidates, etc.
