Phase 1
The General Awareness section is important and scoring sections of Phase 1 exam. To attain maximum mark, candidates should be well versed with the news and current affairs of last one year. Reasoning section is the another important section. Questions are asked from Puzzles, Seating Arrangement, Blood Relation, Coding-Decoding, Direction and Distance, etc. To score good marks in this section, candidates should practice a variety of questions. For English section, candidates must have a good knowledge of Grammar and Vocabulary. For Quant section, candidates must practice previous years’ question papers.

Phase 2
Paper 1 of Phase 2 exam is Economics and Social Issue. The paper test the candidate’s knowledge of economics and social problems with India. Candidates should be well versed with all the topics to crack the exam. Finance and Management is another important paper. This paper includes sections such as economic system, financial market, etc. This section usually tests the candidate’s basic knowledge on Finance topics. The simplest approach for RBI Grade B (Writing Skill) is to read newspapers daily. Candidates should learn new topics and make small notes to strengthen their preparation.

Revision
Revision is the most important part of preparation. While preparing jot down important notes. Go through those points whenever possible. Attempt Mock Test
Attempting minimum of three to four mock tests per week is helpful for candidates. First, it boosts confidence to attempt a maximum number of questions. It also helps in identifying a variety of questions as well as focus on weaker areas where candidates score less marks. Mock tests also teach candidates time management skills.
Any graduate candidates between 21 and 30 years can apply for RBI Grade B exam. Relaxation in the upper age limit is provided to candidates belonging to the reserved categories.Candidates must be a graduate in any discipline or have equivalent technical or professional qualification with minimum 60 per cent marks (50 per cent for SC/ST/PwBD applicants) or postgraduation in any discipline/equivalent technical or professional qualification with minimum 55 per cent marks (pass marks for SC/ST/PwBD applicants) in aggregate of all semesters/years. The educational qualification vary as per the department. Candidates belonging to General Category/EWSs who have appeared six times for phase 1 exam for this in the past are not eligible to apply. There is no restriction for candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/PwBD categories.
The difficulty level of RBI Grade B Phase 1 exam is usually moderate to difficult. In 2022, the difficulty level of the English section was easy whereas the Quant section was calculative. Current Affairs questions were asked from the recent events that took place in May and April 2022. In General Awareness, there were questions on Budget. Static GK questions were very less. The Reasoning section was difficult and time-consuming. In Quant, questions were asked from Compound Interest and Simple Interest, Quadratic Equation. Reasoning questions were asked from Seating Arrangement, Paragraph Based questions, Statement Based questions. There were two Reading Comprehension in English section.
