RBI Grade B syllabus for Quantitative Aptitude section comprises Number Series, Data Interpretation (Missing DI, Pie Chart, Caselet DI, Mix DI), Quadratic Equation, Miscellaneous Questions (Profit Loss, Average, SI & CI, Ratio & Proportion, Time & Work, Time, Speed & Distance, Boats & Streams, etc.), Data Sufficiency. The tips and tricks to ace the Quant section of RBI Grade B exam are given below:
- Candidates must practice well to know the exam pattern. They should practice prime numbers, alternate series, cubes, squares, etc. Hence, learn the cubes (up to 20) and squares (up to 30)
- Candidates should practice previous year question papers
- Most of the questions from DI are asked from Bar Graph or Pie Chart. Practice a lot of questions based on these charts and. Give sectional mocks to assess the performance
Shaloni said, "The Quant section was tough. GA section was easy. The overall difficulty level was difficult. Quant section was tough. The GA questions were direct. The passages were lengthy."
Ashutosh said, "The exam was moderate. The Reasoning section was difficult. I found the pattern to be the same as previous years'."

Reasoning Ability
Reasoning Ability section was time-consuming and moderate. Puzzles and seating arrangements were tough. Other topics like Syllogism, data sufficiency, and Coding-Decoding were easier.
A total of 200 questions will be asked in Phase I of RBI Grade B. The objective part of Paper-I and III of Phase II carries a total of 30 questions, while the descriptive part carries a total of six questions. The Paper-II of Phase II carries a total of three questions. The Phase 1 of RBI Grade B exam carries questions from General Awareness, English Language, Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning. The Phase 2 of RBI Grade B exam carries three papers- Paper-I: Economic and Social Issues, Paper-II: English (Writing Skills) and Paper-III: Finance and Management. The paper 1 of Phase 2 exam, carries 50 per cent Objective-Type questions and 50 per cent Descriptive questions which candidates need to type with the help of the keyboard. The Paper 2 carries Descriptive-Type questions which candidates need to type with the help of the keyboard. Candidates opting to type the answers in Hindi may do so with the help of either Inscript or Remington (GAIL) keyboards layout. Paper 3 comprises 50 per cent Objective Type questions and 50 per cent Descriptive type questions. Candidates need to type the answers with the help of the keyboard. RBI Grade B exam pattern is such that it is divided into Phase I, II, and Interview. The Phase 1 comprises subjects such as General Awareness, English Language, Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning. The total marks allotted to the exam are 200. The duration of the test is 120 minutes. The language of the question paper is English and Hindi. Phase II comprises Paper-I: Economic and Social Issues, Paper-II: English (Writing Skills) and Paper-III: Finance and Management. The Phase 2 exam carries 300 marks. The duration of Paper I and III are 120 minutes (30 minutes for the objective test and 90 minutes for the descriptive test) while Paper-II is held for 90 minutes. All papers of Phase II, except the English Language, are set in English and Hindi. The interview carries 75 marks.
