Why is Rough Sheet Important in CUET Exam?
CUET UG exam is held in a computer-based test mode. During this mode of examination, candidates are given rough sheets to perform any calculations or ideas to get the answer. The rough sheets must be used strategically to manage time. Candidates can use the CUET UG rough sheets for:
- Avoiding mental calculation errors
- Solving quantitative or logical reasoning questions
- Keeping track of elimination in MCQs

CUET UG 2026 datesheet is released soon after the registration process is over. Candidates can check their CUET 2026 exam schedule on their intimation slip or admit card also. CUET UG 2026 exam will be held in CBT mode. Last year, NTA did not release the official CUET examination schedule, however, candidates can check the schedule for applied subjects on their admit cards, when released. Only candidates who will fill the CUET application form along with the successful application fee payment will be able to download the intimation slip for CUET exam. Students must write down steps and question number to avoid any confusion. Circle the final answer. Using the CUET UG rough sheet for calculation helps in reducing mistakes and helps in verifying answer quickly.
- Drawing diagrams for logical reasoning: Some reasoning questions become easy wen visualized using the diagrams or tables. Candidates can use the CUET UG rough sheet to draw:
- Venn diagram
- Seating arrangement tables
- Flow chart, or
- Series
- Keeping the track of marked questions: While attempting CUET UG questions, candidates often mark questions for review. Students can write the question numbers, which are pending for review and keep them tracked.
- Practising using rough sheet during mock test: Before appearing for the main exam day, candidates must appear for CUET Mock test and practice using the rough sheets. Candidates must follow the pattern as for the exam day.

While using the CUET UG rough sheets, candidates must avoid the below common mistakes to avoid wastage of time:
- Writing randomly: unorganised rough work makes it difficult to revisit the calculations
- Spending time on one question: if a calculation is too long, skip the question and complete other questions first.
- Filling sheets quickly: Use the CUET UG rough sheet space wisely and divide pages in different sections to have clear view of answers for each question solved.
- Not marking question number: always write the question number before performing the calculations.

As per CUET exam pattern, the subjects are divided into three sections as:
Section I- Languages
Section II- Domain Subject
Section III- General Test
Candidates will get 60 minutes for each subject. Candidates will not be given extra time.
Candidates must reach alloted CUET exam centre two hours before mentioned exam time. Candidates must complete verification process and take their seats immediately after the opening of examination hall. If the candidates does not report at alloted CUET exam centre on time due to traffic, delay in transport, important instructions to appear for the exam can be missed.
CUET exam centre is allocated on the basis of the preferences entered by the candidate while filling the CUET application form. NTA allotes exam centre as per the preference entered and is subject to availability and logistical consideration.
While filling the CUET application form, candidates can select four cities of their choice. Choice of CUET exam centre cities will be limited to the State of permanent address or State of present address only. In case there are very few candidates from a city, the NTA reserves the right to merge one, two, or more cities.
CUET 2026 exam will be held in May-June 2026 in computer based mode over a month window. The exam will be held across more than 300 exam cities in India. Candidates will be able to know the alloted exam centre on issuance of CUET intimation slip or CUET admit card.
DU CSAS portal 2026 will be actiavted at ugadmission.uod.ac.in. University of Delhi launchs CSAS portal 2026 in June. Candidates who will appear for the CUET 2026 exam can register at DU CSAS 2026 portal. Candidates will be required to enter the college and course preference and pay the DU CSAS registration 2026 fee to participate in the admission process. On the basis of the choices entered and CUET 2025 percentile, candidates will be alloted college and course. CUET 2026 result will be declared in first week of July 2026 at cuet.nta.nic.in.
