The ICAR AIEEA Exam was held on July 3, 2025, in an online (computer-based) mode. The Indian Council of Agricultural Research All India Entrance Examination for Admission (ICAR AIEEA) is conducted once a year. The ICAR AIEEA entrance exam is a national-level exam that is held by the exam-conducting authority, the National Testing Agency (NTA). ICAR AIEEA 2025 Eligibility Criteria
Students must go through the ICAR AIEEA 2025 Eligibility criteria before applying for the ICAR AIEEA 2025 Exam.
For UG Courses:
- Nationality: Candidates must be Indian citizens.
- Age Limit: Candidates must be a minimum of 16 years old as of August 31, 2025.
- Educational Qualification: Candidates who belong to the General/OBC/EWS category must have scored a minimum of 50 per cent, and candidates who belong to SC/ST/PwD must have scored a minimum of 40 per cent.
- Candidates must have passed their Class 12 with PCB/PCM/PCMB/Agriculture from a recognised board.
For PG Courses:
- Age Limit: Minimum 19 years as of August 31, 2025.
- Educational Qualification: Candidates who belong to the General/OBC/EWS category must have scored a minimum of 60 per cent, and candidates who belong to SC/ST/PwD must have scored a minimum of 50 per cent. A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field from a recognised university.
For PhD Courses:
- A master’s degree in a similar field with the required qualifying marks.

For PG Courses:
The exam pattern can differ based on the selected course, subject-specific questions from agriculture, dairy sciences, fisheries, horticulture, and allied fields.
Counselling for in-service candidates seeking admission to reserved seats at ICAR-DUs (ICAR-IARI, ICAR-IVRI, ICAR-NDRI, and ICAR-CIFE) will be conducted at the respective ICAR-DU levels only. These candidates are suggested to check the respective ICAR-DU’s website to learn about the number of seats, eligibility requirements, counselling schedule, and more.
Candidates reporting for admission to the allotted university must have final year/final semester results in hand, such as their final OGPA/CGPA or final percentage of marks, where students do not get grade points. The ICAR AIEEA counselling process is conducted in online mode. All the selected candidates who qualified the exam, only they are eligible for the ICAR AIEEA Counselling Process.
Candidates need to fill in their course and college preferences, and upload all the important documents. Based on seat availability, merit the seats are alloted to the selected candidates during the counselling process. Once a seat is allotted, students need to submit the seat acceptance fee and verify their documents. It is suggested to all candidates to keep all documents ready beforehand.
