JNU CUET PG 2025 Counselling process for admissions to the 51 masters degree courses will be done by the admission barnch of Jawaharlal Nehru University. JNU CUET PG 2025 counselling registration is anticiapted to start in third week of May 2025. CUET PG exam test takers will be able to register themselves by visiting the official website and filling out the form. Based on the availability of seats and number of applications, JNU will released the JNU CUET PG 2025 merit list in phase wise manner.

Q:   Who conducts CUET PG Counselling?
A:

Although NTA, National Testing Agency is the CUET PG 2026 examination conducting body but the CUET PG 2026 Counselling process is not conducted by NTA. As per the previous year trend, candidates can expect the counselling process for CUET PG 2026 will be held separately for different participating universities under the CUET PG 2026 Examination. It is expected that this year's counselling process will not be a combined counselling process.

JNU CUET PG 2025 Counselling Process

As per the admission Branch of JNU, " Admission to Post Graduate and Advance Diploma of Proficiency (ADOP) programmes in JNU for this academic session 2025 will be held through CUET PG being conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA)".

Candidates who wish to appear in courses like MSc, MA, MCA, MFA and other courses offered by JNU CUET PG 2025 must select the JNU university while filling in the university selection programmes option, as asked in the application form. Before filling out the application form, candidates are advised to check the CUET PG eligibility criteria 2025 meticulously to not lose their candidature at any stage in the admission process.

Below are the key points that the candidate needs to remember or keep in mind during the JNU CUET PG 2025 Counselling Process. JNU CUET PG 2025 counselling process contains the following events:

  • Filling up the online application cum counselling form
  • Preference Filling and Programme selection
  • Seat Allocation and Rules
  • Subsequent rounds of Allocation
  • Upgrade or Freeze
  • Optional- Cancellation of provisionally allocated seats and withdrawal of admission by candidate

  • Each university will be releasing separately the rank list for CUET PG 2025 Counselling.
  •  The admission of the candidates in the participating universities of CUET PG 2025 will be based on their ranking and also on the available seats at all the participating universities.
  • The first step in the CUET PG 2025 counselling process is to apply online, followed by an offline meeting.
  • Interested participants must register at the website of their respective participating institution in order to participate in CUET PG counselling 2025.
  • A candidate with a higher CUET PG 2025 cutoff will be given a higher priority than a candidate with a lower cutoff.
  • Upon acceptance into a college and program, students must pay the admission fee.

JNU PG Admissions: Deprivation Points

Details of Deprivation points awarded to candidates, as applicable:- Deprivation Points (upto a maximum of 12 points) are given to the candidates of the following categories:
1. A candidate would get separate points for each educational level i.e. 10th/ High School/ Matriculation/ 12th level/ Intermediate, B.A./B.Sc. and M.A./M.Sc. from either a Quartile 1 or Quartile 2 District as given.
2. All Kashmiri Migrants are eligible for grant of 05 (five) deprivation points on production of registration documents from the notified authorities certifying their Kashmiri Migrant Status.
3. All female/Transgender candidates are eligible for deprivation points as per details given below:
NOTE: This benefit of deprivation points will be given only to UG/PG/COP/ADOP programmes except B.Tech., M.Sc. (Biotechnology), M.Sc. (Computational and Integrative Sciences through GAT-B), MBA, DOP and Ph.D programmes.

JNU CUET PG 2025 Merit list

Q:   In how many rounds will CUET PG 2026 counselling be concluded?
A:

The counselling process for CUET PG 2026 will be held separately for different participating universities under the CUET PG 2026 Examination. Therefore, the CUET PG 2026 Counselling Rounds are not specific to any number. Depending on the availability of vacant seats at that particular university of any course, the CUET PG counselling rounds will vary.

But as per the previous year trend, candidates can expect at least two rounds of counselling for any course at one of the participating universities.

Q:   What is spot round in CUET PG Counselling process?
A:

The seats for many of the courses might get vacant because the candidates got upgraded to other courses or might leave the seat, which causes the conduction of one more round, which is called CUET PG Spot Round/ Spot Counselling/ Spot Round. 

Q:   What are the dates for CUET PG 2026 Counselling?
A:

After the declaration of CUET PG 2026 exam results, CUET PG 2026 Counselling dates are expected to be announced in May, 2026.

JNU CUET PG 2025 Merit List is anticaipted to be released in the First week of July 2025. Candidates whose names appear on the merit list will be provisionally selected for admission. They will then need to complete further admission formalities, which may include document verification and fee payment within a specified timeline to secure their seats. The CUET PG 2025 merit lists are typically released in rounds, depending on the number of vacant seats after each round of admissions. Therefore, candidates are advised to regularly check the TISS admissions website for updates on the merit lists and subsequent admission procedures.

JNU CUET PG 2025 Passing Marks?

CUET PG 2025 is conducted annually to facilitate admissions to master's and professional degree courses across 157 subjects in approximately 197 participating colleges. Following the release of exam results, understanding what constitutes a good score or the qualifying marks offers candidates hope for potential admission. The CUET PG Passing Marks for 2025 are not fixed and fluctuate based on the specific course and participating universities. However, based on general trends and analysis, test-takers can find the expected category-wise CUET PG 2025 passing marks below:

JNU CUET PG 2025 Results

CUET PG 2025 results released by the examination conducting body, NTA on May 6, 2025. The CUET PG results 2025 are compiled based on the corrections made in the provisional answer key (also called CUET PG Final answer key). Candidates will have to log in to the official website with their registration credentials and download the CUET PG 2025 result or scorecard. The NTA Score of CUET (PG) - 2025 will be valid for admission to the academic year 2025-26 only. Scores and candidate data would be shared with the University where he/she has applied.
The Score Card will contain marks awarded in the domain subject knowledge for each course. The university can draw the merit list based on the total score or only on the score achieved in Part I of the Domain Knowledge Section.

CUET PG 2025 Answer Key

CUET PG 2025 final answer key was released by NTA on the official website on May 6, 2025. CUET PG 2025 Provisional Answer Key was earlier released on April 22, 2025 by the NTA on the official website. The exam authority released the CUET PG answer key 2025 subject-wise, for which the CUET PG 2025 exam will be conducted. JNU CUET PG Exam Pattern

 As per the information brochure, the CUET PG 2025 exam pattern be based on only domain knowledge questions. The general section/ Part A of CUET PG exam has been removed from here on. The candidate can choose General paper as a Subject. The comprehension part of these papers would be English or Hindi as chosen by the candidate during CUET PG registration. There will be only 75 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) about the particular course to which the candidate has applied will be asked. From this year onwards, 90 minutes, or 1 hour 35 minutes, will be given to the candidates to attempt 75 questions in the CUET PG 2025 examination.

JNU CUET PG Admission 2025: Courses Offered and Eligibility Criteria

JNU for the academic session 2025-2026 offers PG admission in MA, MSc, MTech, MPD branches. The programmes are being offered in various streams. (All OBC category (non creamy layer) candidates are eligible to 10% relaxation in the percentage of marks in the qualifying examination in relation to open category. M.A. Economics Bachelor's degree in any discipline under 10+2+3 pattern of education with at least 50% marks. Knowledge of Mathematics at 10+2 level is expected and will be tested for in the Entrance Examination. (All OBC category (non creamy layer) candidates are eligible to 10% relaxation in the percentage of marks in the qualifying examination in relation to open category. The SC/ST and Person with Disability (PWD) candidates who have passed the qualifying examination irrespective of their percentage of marks are eligible to appear in the Entrance Examination).
MPH Master of Public Health i. Bachelors level degree with minimum duration of four years in clinical sciences viz. MBBS, AYUSH, BDS, BAMS, BUMS, BSMS, BHMS, BPT, BOT, B.Sc. (Nursing), BVSc or a professional degree in Allied Subjects/fields by the corresponding statutory regulatory body, with Minimum of 55% marks from a recognized University/Institution (or equivalent grade B in UGC 7-point scale or equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed). OR ii. Masters level degree in Social Sciences, Humanities, Management, Sciences, Technology and Allied Subjects/field with Minimum 50% marks from a recognized University/Institution (or equivalent grade B in UGC 7-point scale or equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed). (All OBC category (non creamy layer) candidates are eligible to 10% relaxation in the percentage of marks in the qualifying examination in relation to open category. M.A. Arts & Aesthetics Bachelor’s degree under 10+2+3 pattern of education with at least 50% marks.
