CUET stands for Common University Entrance Test. It is a national level entrance test conducted by National Testing Agency for UG and PG programs. It is a single window examination for admission to universities in India. It is a single window examination for students to apply to multiple universities across India. This examination is compulsory for admission to all central universities in India.
CUET UG exam is conducted in Computer-Based Test Mode. The examination is scheduled in multiple slots depending on the number of registrations for CUET. In this mode of examination, candidates are required to appear for exam online and answer the questions on deskptop with the help of mouse.

There are no prescribed passing marks for CUET UG. In order to know if a candidate has passed the CUET 2026 exam or not or is eligible for admission to desired course and university, they are required to check CUET passing marks released by the colleges/university separately. After the declaration of CUET result, all the colleges or universities will release the course-wise passing marks or CUET UG cutoff, which will be used for shortlisting candidates for admission to UG courses.

Check the notice before you rely on it. You must qualify JEE Main or CUET for UPTAC. A news report says only candidates with a valid JEE Main 2026 rank could register. The special rounds list CUET (UG) 2026 along with JEE Main. So CUET may help only in some rounds. JEE Main is the safe choice.
