What is the BEd Entrance Exam?
The BEd entrance exam is conducted by state bodies like Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Maharashtra, etc to shortlist candidates for BEd programs offered by various government colleges or universities from the respective states. Candidates who qualify in these BEd entrance exams are then invited to appear in the counseling process. During the counseling process, they are allocated the courses in the colleges as per their merit and choice filling.

UP BEd JEE
The Uttar Pradesh Bachelors of Education Joint Entrance Examination in short known as UP BEd JEE is a state-level entrance exam which is conducted by the Bundelkhand University, Jhansi. The objective of this popular teaching entrance exam is to provide admission to eligible candidates in the Bachelor of Education (BEd) course offered at various colleges in Uttar Pradesh.
Every year, the UP Government allotted the responsibility of conducting the UP BEd JEE exam to different universities. In 2024, Bundelkhand University conducted the exam. Currently, the UP BEd JEE application forms have been closed and the counseling is ongoing. The registrations for the 2025 session will begin in February 2025.
Rajasthan PTET
The Rajasthan government conducts the Primary Teacher’s Entrance Test, commonly known as PTET. It is a state-level teacher eligibility test conducted for aspirants interested in being teachers in schools in Rajasthan. The PTET 2025 exam is conducted for two years of BEd and 4 years of Integrated BA BEd/BSc BEd. Candidates who successfully qualify in the exam are shortlisted for the courses provided at government colleges in Rajasthan. The PTET application form 2025 has been closed and it is expected to be released in March 2025 by the exam conducting authority.

JKBOPEE B.Ed Entrance Exam
Just like other state bodies, even the Jammu & Kashmir authority conducts the JKBOPEE entrance exam annually. The exam is conducted by the Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (BOPEE). The Board was set up under the Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examinations Act, 2023, which is assigned to conduct various entrance examinations for admission to different professional courses in the State. The JKBOPEE BEd entrance exam is a state-level teaching aptitude test to assess the ability of candidates for prospects of employment in the education sector as teachers.
BEET
The BEET exam which is the short form for the Bachelor of Education Entrance Test is a university-level entrance exam conducted by Patna University. The BEET exam is conducted for admissions of eligible candidates into B. Ed courses at Patna Training College for Men and Patna Women’s Training College. The BEET 2025 applications are expected to start.
RIE CEE
The National Council for Education Research and Training (NCERT) conducts the RIE CEE exam annually. The entrance exam for the 2024 session is successfully concluded. The exam body will reelase the Regional Institute of Education Common Entrance Examination (RIE CEE) application form for the 2025 session most probably in April-May 2025. NCERT conducts the examination to provide admission to candidates in teaching courses offered at Prarambh and Regional Institutes of Education (RIEs) located at Ajmer, Bhubaneswar, Bhopal, Mysore, and Shillong.
Bihar BEd CET
The Bihar Bachelor of Education Combined Entrance Test also known as the Bihar B.Ed CET is the Bihar state-level teaching entrance exam. The Bihar BEd CET exam is conducted by the Lalit Narayan Mithila University, Kameshwaranagar, Darbhanga. The entrance exam is conducted annually to provide admission to eligible candidates in regular B.Ed, distance B.Ed, and Shiksha Shastri B.Ed programs offered at various universities across Bihar.
