AKTU MBA Courses & Fees 2026: Eligibility, Admission Process, Placements, Cut-off, Seats

As per media reports, 1,531 students were selected in TCS. A total of 318 students were placed with a package of INR 7.60 LPA in TCS Digital and rest 1,213 students were placed with a package of INR 3.60 LPA in TCS Ninja during AKTU placement 2025.

Furthermore, a campus placement drive was organized by an Ed-Tech company on behalf of T&P cell. In this placement drive, MBA and BTech students from affiliated colleges has taken part. According to media report, a total of 12 students have been selected for the post of Sales Executive with CTC of INR 4.12 LPA.

Most government jobs require aspirants to appear for an entrance exam conducted by recruiting organisations, such as RBI, SBI, NMDC, and others. CUET PG is the accepting exam for AKTU MBA admission. The CUET-PG examination is scheduled to be conducted in March 2026 (tentative). The examination specific details will be informed to candidates through the Information Bulletin of respective examinations, which will be published at the time of launch of the CUET PG Registration Forms.

As per the IET placement report 2024, the average package recorded in 2024 was 8.2 LPA. At overall University level (basis annual report), the average package was 4 LPA in 2024. 

Master of Business Administration (MBA) at AKTU is a 2 years course at the PG level. The course offers admission to 60 students. The total tuition fee for AKTU Master of Business Administration (MBA) is INR 1.19 Lakh. To get admitted to AKTU Master of Business Administration (MBA) course, applicants must meet the entry requirements - 50% in graduation

Admission to the MBA programme is a 2-step process i.e. qualifying for the CUET PG exam and appearing in the counseling process conducted by the AKTU itself. However, candidates with CMAT entrance scores are also eligible to apply for the program. 

The desired CUET-PG range to get into the Institute of Engineering and Technology (IET) AKTU for MBA is 230-240. The minimum passing marks for the CUET 2024 are 80–90 for A and B in Section I - Language, and 160–180 for both A and B in Section I A and Section I B. Minimum passing marks for Section II - Domain-Specific Subjects are over 120

UPTU is one of the largest technical universities in UP, India. Abdul Kalam Technical University has a blend of co-curricular and extracurricular activities. DR. A.P.J Abdul Kalam Technical University is expected to conduct a total of six rounds for CUET-UG-qualified candidates. However, the cutoff rounds are conducted as per seat availability. If seats are available after AKTU round six of the counselling process, the University will release the special round to fulfil their vacant seats. 

MBA is a two-year course divided into four semesters. AKTU offers MBA at campus through the Institute of Engineering & Technology, UP Institute of Design and Faculty of Management Studies. Interested candidates should check the eligibility requirements before applying for any of the MBA courses. Aspirants who have passed the bachelor's degree/ equivalent examination can apply for the MBA course. Apart from the academic qualification, candidates also need to qualify CUET-PG to get admission to AKTU MBA course.

Candiates seeking admission to AKTU and have appeared for the CUET-UG entrance test are eligible to register themselves for the Uttar Pradesh Technical Admission Counselling (UPTAC) counselling process conducted by AKTU. Also, candidates who have passed the qualifying examination from any institution located in UP or whose parents are domicile of UP subject to the eligibility conditions given in the AKTU brochure are eligible for the counselling round. 

Candidates need to fulfil below-mentioned criteria for passing AKTU MBA course:

For passing in Theory Subject, a student need to secure a minimum of 30% of the maximum marks prescribed in the university examination and 40% of marks in the aggregate marks in the subject including sessional marks i.e. minimum passing grade is “E”.

For passing in Project Reports / Viva voce examination / Comprehensive Viva Voce, a student shall secure a minimum of 50 % marks of the maximum marks prescribed by the University Examination in the relevant Practical/ Internship / Project/ Viva voce marks.

AKTU admissions to MBA courses are based various entrance exams, of which one is UPCAT scores. The university offers these courses through affiliated colleges. The university also offers admission through other national level entrance exams including CMAT, XAT, MAT and CAT.

Going as per the previous year's cutoffs, the overall UPCAT cutoff has ranged between 600 and 2285 over the years for various colleges. Based on previous year cutoffs, candidates with an 85 Percentile in CMAT,  50 Percentile in XAT,  55 Percentile in MAT and 60 Percentile are eligible for admissions.

Yes, applicants allotted seat at the time of UPTAC counselling seat allotment have to report at the institute as per the schedule. Candidates need to report at the institute before the last date for admission confirmation. Applicants have to carry all the documents and xerox copies at the time of physical reporting. Applicants who fail to report at the allotted institute will be disqualified from the admission process. Candidates are advised to keep track of UPTAC counselling dates 2026 to never miss any event related to the admission process. 

Yes, AKTU admission to BTech course is done through JEE Main. The university accepts JEE Main score of the candidates followed by UPTAC Counselling. In 2022, the JEE Main closing rank for AKTU CSE course was 44,084 indicating easy selection process in some of the AKTU affiliated colleges. The highest closing rank was for Biotechnology-21,856. The closing rank indicates the level of selection process. AKTU affiliated colleges are available for all types of students. Candidates scoring not so good in JEE Main can also find a place in one of the AKTU affiliated college.
