AMU BSc Eligibility & Highlights 2026
AMU BSc courses are four year undergraduate courses that are offered in full-time mode only. BSc at AMU is only offered in honors mode in several specialisations some of which include BSc in Biochemistry, Agriculture, Computer Applications, etc. AMU also offered BSc in Nursing courses along with an integrated BSc B.Ed course, both of which have the same four year duration.
AMU BSc admissions are based on entrance exam scores across all specialisations. For Aligarh Muslim University course admissions, candidates can either appear for the AMU Entrance Exam or the CUET-UG, depending on their chosen BSc (hons) specialisation.
To be eligible for AMU course admissions, candidates need to fulfill the below mentioned BSc eligibility criteria:

Yes, Aligarh Muslim University admission to most of the courses is based on CUET scores. Admission to AMU undergraduate courses including BSc (Hons.) Community Science, BA (Hons/Research), BVoc in Production Technology, Polymer and Coating Technology and Fashion Design & Garment Technology and BSc (Hons/Research) is completely based on valid Central University Entrance Test (CUET-UG) scores. From the academic session 2022, all the central universities along with a few state-deemed universities and private universities started accepting CUET scores for admission to their UG and PG courses.

Final selection for most of the UG and PG courses via CUET is based on candidates' performance in the counselling round. Talking about the minimum eligibility requirement for AMU UG courses, candidates must have passed the Class 12 with a minimum aggregate of 50%. AMU BSc Admission Dates 2026
The AMU BSc admission dates are directly aligned with the timeline of the AMU entrance exam. However, candidates can also track the dates of CUET-UG as it is also accepted for BSc admissions at AMU. The AMU entrance exam dates are usually scheduled between the months of May and August.

STEP 1: Aligarh Muslim University BSc Application Process
The application process at AMU admissions can be completed in online mode. Students should visit the official university website to submit applications. Students are required to upload scanned documents, photos, thumb impression and signature. The final step is to submit the application fee. This application process is applicable to courses in which AMU Entrance Exam score is required. For courses like BSc (Hons) Community Science, Geography or Statistics, students should apply and appear for CUET UG.
STEP 2: Selection of Candidates and Counseling Rounds
After the entrance exam, students should register for the AMU counselling. This can be done by visiting the official website and clicking on Online Counselling/Admission Portal. Those who have appeared for AMU Entrance Exam will have to log in using the credentials generated during the application process.
For admission through CUET UG, students will have to sign up before logging in. Once logged in, students can lock in their choices for BSc courses. The university releases an admission list comprising roll numbers of shortlisted candidates.
