The TS LAWCET Exam Syllabus is released on the TGCHE website. The candidates can access the syllabus when the TG LAWCET official notification 2026 is released. The TS LAWCET 2026 syllabus PDF will be given below. The syllabus of the TS LAWCET Exam 2026 will have the section-wise topics, which can be referred to during the preparation. 

The questions will be asked mainly from three sections, namely, GK and Mental Ability, Current Affairs, and Aptitude for the Study of Law. Both the 5-year LLB and 3-year LLB entrance exam question papers will have the same subjects and similar weightage to each section. The difference will be in the difficulty level of the exam. The 5-year LLB entrance exam will be of Intermediate level/10+2, while the 3-year LLB exam will be of Degree Level. Candidates are also advised to refer to the TS LAWCET 2026 question paper during their preparation to score better.

There are three sections in the TS LAWCET Syllabus 2026. Candidates who want to appear and crack the exam in the first attempt must complete the syllabus of each section first and take as many mock test as they can. The section-wise syllabus for TG LAWCET Exam with detailed topics is as follows:

TS LAWCET Syllabus 2026: Important Topics for Aptitude for the Study of Law

The questions asked in the Study of Law section are based on topics such as Legal Awareness, Legal Principles, and Legal Reasoning. Candidates will have to study for the following topics to ace this section.

  1. Indian Constitution

  2. Contract Law

  3. Torts

  4. Criminal Law

Fundamental rights, directive principles, organs of government, and amendments should be studied along with the formation of contracts and remedies. Candidates must also study the Indian Penal Code (IPC) - general principles, specific offenses, and general exceptions.

In the Legal Principles, the important topics include interpretation of statutes and legal documents, legal maxims (short, well-established principles of law), etc. However, for Legal Reasoning, candidates must know the case analysis and be adept at legal research.

Q:   What is the timing of TS LAWCET 2026 exam?

The TS LAWCET qualifying criteria refer to the category-wise minimum marks required to pass the exam. There are no qualifying marks for the SC and ST category candidates. However, General candidate need 35% marks.

Q:   When will the TS LAWCET 2026 admit card be released?
A: 

TS LAWCET admit card 2026 will be released on the website of the Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TGCHE): lawcet.tgche.ac.in. The admit card will be released in online mode only as TS LAWCET hall ticket tentatively 7-10 days before the exam. Candidates will have to download the admit card before the TS LAWCET 2026 exam and take its multiple printouts. They need to affix their coloured passport-size photograph to their TS LAWCET hall ticket or admit card.

To download the TS LAWCET admit card or hall ticket, TS LAWCET applicants need their TS LAWCET registration number, hall ticket number of their qualifying exam and date of birth. After enetering these details, you need to click on "Download Hallticket" button. 

Once you are done with the TS LAWCET hall ticket, you need to create its multiple printouts for the following reasons:
