Q:   How many questions are asked in Andhra Pradesh LAWCET exam?
A: 

AP LAWCET question paper consists of 120 objective-type questions. These 120 questions are divided into three sections. These sections are General Knowledge and Mental Ability, Current Affairs, and Aptitude for the Law Study. The marks distribution for each section is different. General Knowledge and Mental Ability, Current Affairs, and Aptitude for Law Study contain 30, and 60 marks, respectively. As a result, the Aptitude for Law Strudy section carries the most weightage in the Andhra Pradesh LAWCET exam.

Questions in the Andhra Pradesh LAWCET Exam are broadly asked from three subjects: General Knowledge and Mental Ability, Current Affairs and Aptitude for the Study of Law. Thus, Andhra Pradesh LAWCET candidates need to cover these four subjects while preparing for the Andhra Pradesh LAWCET exam. They need to focus on the preparation of the Aptitude for Study of Law subject because it carries the maximum weightage of 60 marks in the Andhra Pradesh LAWCET test. Q:   Is the question paper of Andhra Pradesh LAWCET for five-year LL.B. And the three-year LL.B. Same?

No, even though the Andhra Pradesh LAWCET examination is conducted by the same body for both courses, yet, the question papers are different. The Andhra Pradesh LAWCET 3-year LL.B. Question paper and Andhra Pradesh LAWCET 5-year LL.B. Question paper contain questions from three sections: 1) General Knowledge and Mental Ability, 2) Current Affairs and 3) Aptitude for Law. However, questions in the two question papers are different. The difficulty level of the question papers for the two types of law courses will be different. The Andhra Pradesh PGLCET question paper will be more difficult.
Q:   What is the difference between the syllabus of Andhra Pradesh LAWCET and the syllabus of CLAT?

Both the AP LAWCET and CLAT entrance exam are conducted for admission to the Law schools in India, however, the syllabus for these exams are different on many parameters and candidates should strategise differently for both the exams. AP LAWCET exam has sections including Current Affairs, Legal Aptitude, Contract Law, Constitution, etc. and the CLAT entrance exam sections include English Language, Legal Aptitude, Mathematics, etc. AP LAWCET does not have mathematics subjects, AP LAWCET exam focus more on regional knowledge. CLAT generally covers the deeper aspects of the particular subject.

Q:   When will AP LAWCET 2026 admit card be released?
A: 

The AP LAWCET admit card 2026 will tentatively be released in the first week of June 2026, on the website of the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE): cets.apsche.ap.gov.in/LAWCWET. The admit card will be made available in online mode only. The AP LAWCET admit card is also referred as the AP LAWCET hall ticket. Candidates will have to download the admit card before the AP LAWCET 2026 exam, Thereafter, they need to take its multiple printouts of the hall ticket.

They need to affix their coloured passport-size photograph to their AP LAWCET hall ticket or admit card. Then, they need to carry the hall ticket to the  exam centre. 

Q:   When will AP LAWCET 2026 result be declared?
A: 

The AP LAWCET 2026 result will be declared on the official APSCHE LAWCET website - cets.apsche.ap.gov.in/LAWCET soon after the exam is concluded. The result for each candidates will be made available as a scorecard online. To pass the AP LAWCET 2026 exam, candidates from General and OBC categories will have to score 35% of the total marks i.e. 42 marks out of 120. 

There is no minimum passing marks for AP LAWCET for candidates from SC/ST category. All candidates who pass the exam will be eligible for the AP LAWCET counselling process. To participate in the counselling, they will have to fill out the counselling registration form online and then select the colleges for admission through the choice filling process.

Q:   Will I be considered for admission even if I fail the Certificate verification process of Andhra Pradesh LAWCET counselling?
A: 

Candidates will have to mandatory complete the document verification process to participate in web option entry and consequently will not be called for the admission. Thus, it is mandatory for candidates to provide the right information in the Andhra Pradesh LAWCET application form and verify the documents related to the Andhra Pradesh LAWCET counselling process. The details related to the Andhra Pradesh LAWCET counselling are released online at the website of Andhra Pradesh LAWCET.
