TG LAWCET Dates 2026: The TS LAWCET 2026 Exam is scheduled on May 18, 2026. Candidates must note that the TS LAWCET exam for 5-year LLB and 3-year LLB will be conducted on the same date.  The Telangana State Council of Higher Education started the TG LAWCET 2026 Registrations from February 10, 2026, on the website, lawcet.tgche.ac.in. Candidates who want to apply have to register before April 1, 2026.

The council releases a notification stating all the important dates related to TG LAWCET 2026, which includes the TS LAWCET application start date, last date of application, admit card release date, and other important information regarding the exam. The TS LAWCET scores will be accepted by the participating institutes that offer admission to the five-year LLB course and three-year LLB course. Q:   Can I apply for TSLAWCET without CLAT score?
A: 

You can apply for TS LAWCET 2026 without a CLAT score, as it is a state-level entrance exam conducted by Osmania University on behalf of TSCHE. The exam is specifically for admission into 3-year and 5-year LLB courses offered by law colleges in Telangana. A CLAT score is not required. Candidates must only meet the prescribed educational qualifications and eligibility criteria set by the exam authorities.

  • There is no upper age limit for appearing in TS LAWCET.
  • Candidates appearing in the qualifying examination are also eligible to apply, provided they meet the criteria at the time of admission.

The TS LAWCET 2026 exam gonna happen on May 18, 2026 (Monday). It will be held in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode. You will write this test for getting admission into 3-year and 5-year LLB courses in Telangana.

  • Online Registration- Candidates who qualify for the exam will have to register online and pay the counselling registration fee to participate in the counselling.

The TS LAWCET counselling schedule will be released through the official TSCHE Portal - lawcetadm.tgche.ac.in. TS LAWCET counselling is the procedure by which qualifying students are admitted to various law programmes offered by Telangana universities and colleges based on their ranking and college preferences. 

Q:   Who is eligible for TS LAWCET counselling?
A: 

To be eligible for TS LAWCET counselling, candidates belonging to the General category must have secured 35% marks in TS LAWCET exam (i.e. 42 marks out of 120 marks). The OBC category students must score atleast 35% marks in TS LAWCET exam (i.e. 42 marks out of 120 marks), and for the SC/ST category, there is no minimum qualifying marks for SC and ST category candidates. However, for the 3-year LL.B. course, any graduate degree candidate with (10+2+3 pattern) from a recognised University or its equivalent can apply and for the 5-year LL.B. course, two year Intermediate Examination with (10+2 pattern) or its equivalent is acceptable.

Q:   Where can I find the TS LAWCET cutoff marks?

The official TS LAWCET cutoff marks will not be available on a single webpage.  This is because the cutoffs are determined for each counselling round and for each participating college and course. Thus, each college participating in TS LAWCET will release the cutoff marks on its official webiste.

However, you can find the TS LAWCET cutoff marks on the official website of the Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE) after they declare the results  at lawcet.tsche.ac.in. The cutoffs are generally released separately for each round of counselling.

Q:   What is the difference between the TS LAWCET preliminary answer key and the TS LAWCET final answer key?
A: 

The TS LAWCET preliminary key is a set of answers that give answers to the questions in the TS LAWCET question paper for a particular. The preliminary answer key is based on the initial evaluation of the question paper by the exam authority. The preliminary answer key can be challenged by candidates if they think that the answer to a particular question is wrong.

Whereas, the TS LAWCET final answer key is the authoritative set of answers released by the exam authority, Osmania University, on behalf of the Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE), for the TS LAWCET exam. It represents the final decisions on the correct answers for all the questions that appeared on the test.
