The counselling of APLAWCET comprises Online Registration, Weboption exercise, seat allotment result and reporting to the allocated college. Candidates will have the option to participate in phase 1 counselling and if the seat is not allocated during this round, candidates will have the option to take part in subsequent rounds. AP LAWCET 2026 exam authorities provide four chances with late fee options to candidates after Andhra Pradesh LAWCET application form deadline.

AP LAWCET, or Andhra Pradesh State Law Common Entrance Test, is a state-level entrance examination conducted for admission to 3-year LLB and 5-year LLB courses offered by law colleges affiliated law colleges of Andhra University. The exam is conducted by Acharya Nagarjuna University on behalf of Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE)

The AP LAWCET examines a candidate's aptitude and knowledge related to law. For admission to LLM courses, AP PGLCET is conducted. The registration process for AP LAWCET and AP PGLCET starts on the same date on the official APSCHE LAWCET website - cets.apsche.ap.gov.in/LAWCET.

AP LAWCET is conducted by Sri Padmavati Mahila Visvavidyalayam, Tirupati on behalf of the APSCHE. This body manages the exam process, registration, and counseling for admission into 3-year and 5-year LLB courses in law colleges across Andhra Pradesh.

There is criterion of minimum marks requirement for admission to a college through Andhra Pradesh LAWCET for candidates belonging to SC and ST categories. However, candidates of General category must score a minimum of 35% marks (42 marks out of 120 marks) to get admission to a college based on their Andhra Pradesh LAWCET scores. 

The college allotted to the Andhra Pradesh LAWCET 2026 test-taker will depend on the following factors: 

• Marks obtained by the candidate
• Cut off of the participating college
• Reservation criteria

Reserved category candidates will have a 5% relaxation in qualifying exam while applying for Andhra Pradesh LAWCET. Candidates applying for 3-year Andhra Pradesh LAWCET exam and 5-year Andhra Pradesh LAWCET exam must be an Indian Citizen.

The APLAWCET answer key 2026 was released on May 7, 2026. It was issued in two phases - preliminary and final answer key. The APLAWCET preliminary answer key was open for objections. The objection window closed on May 9.
