NLU Assam Cutoff 2025: Check Category-wise CLAT Cutoff Ranks

Candidates aspiring for NLU Assam admission to BA LLB and LLM courses must have a valid score in CLAT in order to be eligible for the further CLAT Counselling for the final admission. Also, as per the opening and closing ranks for NLU Assam General category candidates with a rank of 862 are eligible for admission. The NLU Assam CLAT Cutoff 2026 was released for various All India and Home State quota categories. The cutoff was released as ranks for a total of 5 rounds. 

For the General AI category, the cutoff ranged from 1322 to 2049 for the BA LLB (Hons) and LLM courses. Hence, 2049 was the highest rank acceptable. 

On the other hand, for the General HS quota, the cutoff varied from 1563 to 3519. So, the rank attained should be lower than 3519.

Yes, NLU Assam accepts CLAT score. Candidates who are looking for degree course admission at National Law University & Judicial Academy, Assam must have a valid CLAT score. The Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) began the CLAT 2025 Registration on July 15, 2025. Candidates can fill the CLAT Application Form 2025 until October 15, 2024. All interested candidates can fill out the CLAT Application Form 2025 by visiting the official website; i.e. consortiumofnlus.ac.in. CLAT 2025 Application fees must be paid by the candidates as mentioned in the CLAT Exam Notification. The CLAT 2025 Notification was released on July 7, detailing important dates for CLAT Registration 2025.

NLU Assam CLAT cutoff 2026 is now out for all rounds regarding admission to the BA LLB (Hons) and LLM courses. For the General AI category, the overall cutoff ranged from 1322 to 2049, with the LLM course and its various specialisations being the tougher courses for enrolment. 

On the other hand, for the General HS quota, the overall cutoff ranged from 1563  to 3519, with the LLM course and its branches also being the more competitive courses for this category.

NLU Assam BA LLB (Hons) cutoff 2026 was concluded after the release of the final round of seat allotment for various AI and HS quota categories.

The NLU Assam CLAT Cutoff 2026 for the OBC AI category ranged from 2258 to 3865 for the BA LLB (Hons) and LLM courses. 

On the other hand, for the OBC category candidates under the Home State quota, the cutoff ranged from 10214 to 25088. See the table below to know the course-wise cutoff range for both the AI and HS quotas. 

NLU Assam CLAT Cutoff 2026 has been released till round 2 for admission to BA LLB (Hons) and LLM courses for various categories under both the All India and Home State quota. 

For the SC AI category, the round closing ranks ranged between 4884 and 11777, for the LLM and BA LLB (Hons) courses, respectively. Out of the two, the LLM course proved to be more competitive for admission at NLU Assam.

Note: 5% of the total seats are reserved horizontally for SAP & 5 of the seats available for the All India Unreserved Category are reserved horizontally for Permanent Residents of Assam (UR).

For admission to NLU Assam for the LLB or LLM course, the result of CLAT 2024 can be expected by the last week of December 2023 After the release of result, the exam takers will be able to download their CLAT scorecards from the official website using their login credentials for NLU Assam admission via CLAT counselling and seat allotment.

CLAT 2024 result contains details like the candidate's overall and sectional scores, and merit rank. Those who will qualify CLAT 2024 by meeting the required minimum cutoff as per the merit list are called for counselling process for seat allotment.

Note that for admission to the 5-year LLB or LLM courses, the candidate will have to meet the CLAT 2024 cut-off in their respective category. The CLAT 2024 merit rank list will be shared at the time of admission and seat allotments. Candidates ranked higher in CLAT 2024 merit list will be given preference during the seat allotment process.

For admission to the one-year LLM or five-year LLB at NLU Assam, the CLAT test was conducted on Dec 3, 2023. Aspirants of NLU Assam were required to appear for the exam in offline pen-paper mode at the allotted test centres. Candidates could complete the CLAT registration 2024 until Nov 3, 2023 in online mode. The exam took place in more than 125 cities listed as CLAT 2024 test centres in 22 states and UTs. The detailed schedule of CLAT 2024 was declared along with the CLAT Exam Centers 2024.

• The CLAT question paper for undergraduate courses has total 120 passage-based objective-type questions from five subjects - English Language,  Logical Reasoning,  Legal Reasoning, CLAT Affairs including General Knowledge and Quantitative Techniques. 

• The CLAT LLM question paper has both objective- and subjective-type questions. However, last year, the CLAT Consortium removed the descriptive section from the LLM paper. Check complete CLAT 2024 exam pattern for LLM.
