Our university has cafeterias, shopping complex, sports complex, and diversity of students.

Placements: About 70% of the students are placed in total that is on campus and off campus. The highest package for the placements is 51 LPA, and minimum package is 5 LPA. Number of students get placed in companies such as Microsoft, Google, Cipla, Wipro, Tech Mahindra, Usha Martin, etc. Various types of courses are present, for example, biotechnology, AIML, mechanical, electronics, pharmacy, etc.

Infrastructure: Approximately 200 faculty members are there at Birla Institute of Technology for students. Some of the branches have their own buildings and some are in the main building only. But every department is separate. Hotel facilities provide 1 room for two students in which mess is also present.

Faculty: All professors are well-educated and qualified enough to teach at such a renowned university. The courses are also very helpful in their own way. Although the semester exams are difficult, we have to study all night in order to maintain a good CGPA. The pass percentage is 40%.

Review of Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra.

Placements: Almost 80% of students got placed in 2022. The highest salary package offered is 13 LPA. The average salary package offered is 9 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 7 LPA. Bharat Biotech, Biocon, Serum Institute, Cipla, Dr.Reddy's Laboratories, etc., visit our college and provide tech and non-tech roles. Many students got internships on their own. A few companies visit our college and provide internships for 2-3 months. Placements were not good in 2020.

Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available in our college. The hostel rooms have LAN connection. Classrooms have digital boards. All labs are fully furnished, so you can perform experiments easily. The quality of the food in the mess is good.

Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified. They help and guide us in our future. The course curriculum is relevant for some branches. Some courses do not provide practical subjects. We can pass by studying one day before semester exams.

Birla Institute of Technology Review.

Placements: The placement percentage of the college is quite good and it varies above 80%. The highest package offered this year was 1.5Cr grabbed by student named Veerbhadra Shukla of K19 batch of Chemical Engineering. Talking about Biotechnology, the highest placement was 12.85 Lacs.

Infrastructure: The hostel has various facilities like Wi-Fi, Water Coolers, etc. The infrastructure of the college is quite good. It has various technical labs including ECE Lab, PPS Lab, Mechanical Lab. It has a central library with over 1Lakh books and other resources.

Faculty: The faculty in this college is very good but depends on the individual to grab the knowledge from the professor. The curriculum is based upon CBCS. The college organises two quizzes, one mid semester and one end semester examination. The teachers are all Ph.D. qualified.

Our college is growing in terms of placements.

Placements: Placements are average. Our college is equal to most of the private colleges. If we work hard then we are eligible for good placements with decent salary packages.

Infrastructure: Classrooms are average. Wi-Fi facility is average. All students connect to the router, so the speed becomes slow. The Wi-Fi speed is 300-400 Mbps during day and 800-900 Mbps during dawn. Laboratories are average. Library is decent, and several books are available. Around 200-250 students can accommodate easily in the library. Hostel is average. The food served in the mess is better. Medical facilities are good, and you can go anytime for check-up. Ambulance is also available in this college. There is a sports complex on our campus. Sports are conducted such as football, volleyball, basketball, cricket, badminton, etc. We also have a gym facility in this college.

Faculty: Teachers are well-qualified and helpful. They have doctorate degrees as well. They always clarify our doubts. They guide us in all aspects. The course curriculum is not updated. Semester exams are difficult. Passing criteria is that you should not get any backlog, and attendance should be at least 65-75%.

I am satisfied with this college in all aspects.

Placements: Around 100% of students are placed. The highest salary package was around 13 LPA. The top roles offered are analysts and consulting roles given by ZS associates. The top recruiting companies are Accenture and Brain and company. Some core companies like Genebox also visit for internships position.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good in this college. The library is well-equipped with books on every domain. Laboratories are equipped with modern machines. The hostel facility is good, and everyone gets a single room. The mess food is very good, and the menu changes on student demand. The food is also served four times every day.

Faculty: Teachers are average in this college. The curriculum is relevant according to industry standards. Semester examinations are not very difficult, and students will get very good marks if they focus on the course. Professors are very helpful in every possible way.

Other: The campus is well connected with a railway station, airport, and bus stand. Scholarships are awarded based on SGPA in the previous semester. Students with less income category get the benefit. The campus surroundings are good and greenery. Different types of trees are also available in this college, and the weather is good in the summer season.

Placement is almost 80% in this college.

Placements: Almost 50% students of biotechnology opt for higher studies abroad and remaining students get placed in IT companies. Companies like google, Microsoft, adobe, MNCs, Wipro, Flipkart and Amazon are recruiting every year with healthy packages.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure is awesome. Labs are available with modern equipments. 24 hour high-speed Wi-Fi is available. Quality of food is normal, not so good, neither too bad. Our sports Complex is very big and awesome. Medical is available in our campus free of cost. In emergency, ambulance is available.

Faculty: Teachers are very helpful if you are aware regarding your placement or internship. If you are interested in research then you should take admission in this college, especially for biotech. Professors help in research if you are really interested. Most of the professors are from IITs and highly qualified. They have a lot of experience.

Other: I have opted biotech because I think in future, biotech's demand will increase. Besides this, you can do a lot of more things like coding because you get extra time in this course.

It is a good college, and it's very beautiful.

Placements: In our college, not many core companies visit for placements. If core companies visit also, they don't offer a salary package of more than 4 LPA. The maximum number of students got placed in analytics companies and consultancies. A few of the students didn't opt for placements as they wanted to opt for higher studies.

Infrastructure: Labs had all the new technologies, and students were allowed to learn most of them. The food served in the mess is of fine quality. Medical facilities and a sports complex were also available here. There were around 5-6 canteens, and a night canteen was also available in the hostel.

Faculty: Teachers here are very knowledgeable. They would be ready to spend extra hours with you if you don't understand anything. The course curriculum seemed relevant. The teaching quality was also very good. Teachers give enough time for every subject, and lab classes are also conducted every evening.

Other: I chose this course because I have an interest in biotechnology. Events and fests are organised almost every weekend. You will have a very happening life on the campus.

I am satisfied with this college.

Placements: Placements in our college are pretty good. At last, most of the students get a job. In biotechnology course, it is a bit difficult to grab good placements as we have few opportunities in India. Many students go into management fields and grab a good placement. It is a bit difficult to get an internship at the college.

Infrastructure: The biotechnology department has good infrastructure department with all the facilities. Labs and classrooms are excellent. The hostel facility is equipped with a Wi-Fi facility, and it is a good place for the 4 years to stay in. Food served in the mess is not that bad.

Faculty: Teachers in our course are the best and experienced. They are kind. They are ready to help the students in their personal or professional problem. Due to the CBCS system, the course curriculum is vast, but I think it provides additional knowledge for future exams.

Candidates who are appearing in the Class 12th / equivalent examination in 2026, are also eligible. Can I get admission to BIT Mesra for BTech in Biotechnology through NEET UG score?

No, you can't get admission in BTech Biotechnology or any other branches of BTech with a NEET UG Score card. You have to appear in the JEE Main exam with PCM subject and then apply for Josaa or Csab counselling to get admission in B.Tech in BIT Mesra.

How does admission take place for B.Tech biotechnology without JEE Mains(as PCB group students can't appear for JEE)?

The admission for Biotechnology are solely based on JEE mains ranking. While you will do counseling there you would have the option for filling biotechnology as a branch in various institute. Hope it helps.
