Chandigarh University is full of opportunities. It is a great place to explore and ace your dreams.
Placements: Placement percentage is around 80-90% for department of psychology. The highest package is INR 8 LPA - 10 LPA. The lowest package is INR 2.5 LPA - 3.5 LPA. The average package is INR 4 LPA - 6 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Byjus, TCS, ManTech, HDFC Life, ICICI Prudential, etc. 70-80% of students got internships. Roles offered are clinical psychologist, counseling psychologist, educational psychologist, special educator, etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure and facilities provided are excellent. Food in the mess and canteen is both hygienic, healthy, and delicious. Medical facilities are top-notch. Sports and games are also excellent. There is a separate sports complex which includes swimming, cricket, badminton, football, etc.
Faculty: Teachers are friendly, helpful, and understanding. The course curriculum is very relevant. Exams are not very difficult. If the students study hard and work on the notes provided in class, they can surely excel in the exams. If students stay attentive in class and students can easily get good grades.
Other: I always dreamed of being a clinical psychologist and helping people who are suffering. Events, campus, crowd, and everything are excellent.

Lucky to be here, good placement, excellent fests, and top-notch hostel security.
Placements: Around 50% of my classmates got placed and many of them got packages around 6 LPA. Almost 60% to 70% of my classmates got an internship from the course that I did. The top roles offered are data analyst and researcher. Top recruiters are PWC and Deloitte.
Infrastructure: The infrastrucrure facilities like Wi-Fi in libraries and classrooms and AC rooms are available. Rooms are fully ventilated. The food that is also available in the mess is high-quality and there is no to minimal garbage seen on the corridors or the college premises. The greenery around the campus is something that we love on a breezy day. There are a lot of benches around the green area so that people can enjoy sitting there in good weather.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified. Most of them have done their Ph.D. S. The teaching quality is great accumulating of different activities and not just confined to the textbooks. Revision tests are revision activities are often practice from time to time so that it is easier in the exam season for the students to crack it. Almost 95% of my class that pass with score of 70% or higher.
Other: I chose the course because of the best curriculum that they offer. The curriculum was way more diverse than other universities and the student helpline is that the college provides either it be exam stress, financial help needed, counselors, and therapy sessions are provided within the campus. A lot of fests go on including the fresher's party with the annual fests with a lot of programs around more than 100 programs and stalls around the campus with massive DJs and celebrities like Akshay Kumar, and Honey Singh perform.

Satisfied with the quality of education.
Placements: 80% of students were placed from my batch. The highest package was 5 LPA. Many companies were there, including Airtel and many more. The internship rate was 90%, to be exact. I myself got to learn so many things. Journalism, mass communication, and teaching were the top roles offered in our course.
Infrastructure: The hostel facilities were amazing, and every amenity was available. Wi-Fi facility was provided, and there were study rooms in hostels, with a general store that had all the essential items from food to makeup and stationery. The quality of food in the hostel was far better than other universities.
Faculty: Faculty members were the best in our university. All teachers were really humble, to be honest. It was an interest-based course. I did it in literature so it was my area of interest, which is why I chose it. The pass percentage was 90%. The difficulty level was low compared to other courses.
Other: Overall, it was a valuable experience.

A decent place to be. Good for bachelor's and not for master's degree.
Placements: There are no such placement offers for psychology graduates. Some might find job opportunities in general fields such as content writing, desk jobs, or secretary jobs. There are 2-3 students from my batch who cashed on some of these opportunities. University is quite helpful in the process.
Infrastructure: University has a good to decent level of infrastructure. Classrooms are okay. Hostel range across different categories, it depends on which one you choose. But overall, one would find it decent to good. Mess food could be terrible for students experiencing it for the first time.
Faculty: Faculty members are below average, they just get the job done. Some teachers are on a good level but the rest of the department consists of newcomers and young ones to teach. Exams consists of a decent level of difficulty which check your intellect well.
Other: One thing about CU is that there's always something happening on campus. It's either an event or some competition, there's always something going on. The crowd could be selectively nice and it's got a nice environment and infrastructure on top of that.

Life at Chandigarh University.
Placements: Students of Chandigarh University get placed in very good companies with high salary packages. More than 70% of students get placement in international companies. Chandigarh University has also been awarded as the title- University with Best Placements.
Infrastructure: Facilities of the hostel and department are good. The quality of food is also good in the hostel mess. Chandigarh University is also famous for sports. Many of the students have participated at national levels and international levels in different games.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful. They are PhD holders. Mid-semester exams are conducted which are also very helpful for students to build their knowledge. Faculty members are also very supportive of students.
Other: The best thing about my course is that it has supportive teachers and they help us. Events and fests are also conducted in the university to showcase the talent of students. During the fests, different celebrities and singers are invited for their performances. The university also provides a scholarship for the students and students have to maintain a CGPA of 7.5 in academics.

Not recommended for academically oriented people but great to find yourself.
Placements: For psychology, there are not any placements as we cannot work after a bachelor's. We require at least a master's degree to be a junior psychologist. But for other degrees, there are placements. Everyone gets paced. The packages might be poor as they do not guarantee a good package. They just provide a job.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is okay as there are no air conditions which is unfortunate, and it hearts up a lot like crazy. The infrastructure of the hostel is good. They are safe. There is a lift. The best hostel for girls is either LC or Shivalik. LC has a lot more open space as it used to be a boys' hostel. Shivalik is the only girls' hostel that has balconies.
Faculty: We are always understaffed and psychology is still a developing field. Sometimes people pursuing their Ph.D. teach us and they do not know how to teach. The curriculum is average. Some teachers are good while some are just terrible. It just really depends on your luck what teacher you get. But make sure to make good relations with your teachers as there is a lot of favouritism.
Other: Campus life is great. You should stay in the hostel for a year at least to experience that life.

  • Batch size (Pharma UG+PG combined): 250–300 students

  • Placed: 159 students
     So:

  • The majority get opportunities, but not all

  • Some students:

    • Go for higher studies

    • Or search for off-campus jobs

Very safe: 75–85%+

60–65% → borderline but possible

70%+ → good chance

80%+ → easy admission + scholarship chances
