Chandigarh University is full of opportunities. It is a great place to explore and ace your dreams.
Placements: Placement percentage is around 80-90% for department of psychology. The highest package is INR 8 LPA - 10 LPA. The lowest package is INR 2.5 LPA - 3.5 LPA. The average package is INR 4 LPA - 6 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Byjus, TCS, ManTech, HDFC Life, ICICI Prudential, etc. 70-80% of students got internships. Roles offered are clinical psychologist, counseling psychologist, educational psychologist, special educator, etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure and facilities provided are excellent. Food in the mess and canteen is both hygienic, healthy, and delicious. Medical facilities are top-notch. Sports and games are also excellent. There is a separate sports complex which includes swimming, cricket, badminton, football, etc.
Faculty: Teachers are friendly, helpful, and understanding. The course curriculum is very relevant. Exams are not very difficult. If the students study hard and work on the notes provided in class, they can surely excel in the exams. If students stay attentive in class and students can easily get good grades.
Other: I always dreamed of being a clinical psychologist and helping people who are suffering. Events, campus, crowd, and everything are excellent.

A decent place to be. Good for bachelor's and not for master's degree.
Placements: There are no such placement offers for psychology graduates. Some might find job opportunities in general fields such as content writing, desk jobs, or secretary jobs. There are 2-3 students from my batch who cashed on some of these opportunities. University is quite helpful in the process.
Infrastructure: University has a good to decent level of infrastructure. Classrooms are okay. Hostel range across different categories, it depends on which one you choose. But overall, one would find it decent to good. Mess food could be terrible for students experiencing it for the first time.
Faculty: Faculty members are below average, they just get the job done. Some teachers are on a good level but the rest of the department consists of newcomers and young ones to teach. Exams consists of a decent level of difficulty which check your intellect well.
Other: One thing about CU is that there's always something happening on campus. It's either an event or some competition, there's always something going on. The crowd could be selectively nice and it's got a nice environment and infrastructure on top of that.

Placement is very less as compared to other departments.
Placements: For psychologist students, it's very hard to find the placement; you have to find yourself. But the faculties are very cooperative and, by nature, very friendly. Activities done by the department are very few, but from this year on, that's going well for the students.
Infrastructure: Classrooms do not contain AC it's very hot because of the climate. The library, where most of the books that are required for the department are, is situated at A3. Wi-Fi facilities are not there. No games are conducted as for the department. There is a sports meet.
Faculty: Faculties and HOD are very cooperative. The exams are considered every month, like mst1, mst2 and end-of-semester exams, which I find are difficult for the student to study; they need some time to get refreshed after every exam. And 75% attendance is mandatory.
Other: In the department of psychology, there are very few extracurricular activities.

Great placement, average hostel life, and a big campus .
Placements: Around 75 percent of students were placed. The highest package, if I remember correctly, was around 10 LPA. Companies that recruited were mainly from the engineering department. Companies included business from Punjab, Amul, Amazon, Computer appliances, etc. In our course, I think the percentage of students getting placed was relatively lower but some got placed in companies as HR or clinical psychologists.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are very clean there are helpers on every block and every floor. The bathrooms are also very clean. The block is very big so I'm impressed that they even manage to keep it clean every day. Hostel foods are unexpectedly good; they serve non-vegetarian food once a week.
Faculty: Some of the teachers are really cool and fun, while others may not. The difficulty of the exam depends on your course. B.A. courses are relatively easier than engineering or medical courses in MST 1 and 2, and the passing marks are around 7 or 8, with 20 being the full marks. In the end-of-term exam, the full marks is 60 and you have to get around 23 to pass other factors, such as assignments and practicals, also play a role in your performance.
Other: I chose psychology because it has been my choice since early teenage years. Internships should be a regular thing in psychology courses, as that's how students will learn about real-life applications. There is a Cu Fest every year and other events keep happening at the university. The campus is huge so you can join other blocks events as well dance competitions, cultural festivals, concerts, etc.

Student centric university, great infrastructure, faculty. Recommended to all.
Placements: For I have not yet reached the stage, but I can talk about the senior batch of Masters students, each and everyone of them were offered great placements around the nation, and most of them took it. Top companies like Google and Fobet. Co., also offered placements.
Infrastructure: Chandigarh University is known for its top class infrastructure and facilities provided all round the campus. The hostels are well maintained and looked after, though the mess food is slightly questionable, but students get various other food outlets within the campus to choose from. The student welfare department quickly resolves any issue that the students face.
Faculty: All the teachers are extremely knowledgeable and teach relevant subject course for Bachelors students. The semester exams seem very easy to attempt since what has been taught in the class itself, tends to stay for a long time. Regular checks on the faculty members are done by e gov to ensure best quality education.
Other: CU is very famous for regular events within the campus and also various field visits provided via departments.

Q:   Can I get direct admission in Chandigarh University without entrance exam?
A:

The Chandigarh University course admission to all courses (UG, PG, integrated, Diploma and other) is done through CUCET. The university also conducts a counselling process for admission to BPharma, MPharma, BA LLB, LLM and BSc Nursing. Additionally, it accepts a few national-level entrance exams, such as JEE Main, NATA, CAT, MAT, XAT, etc., to provide scholarships to its UG and PG aspirants. However, whether these exams are also considered for admission or not must be confirmed from CU admission office as there is no clarity on the same on the official website.
