You can get admission to this college, but don't rely much on it. Focus on developing your skills.

Placements: CU provides genuine opportunities, but the headline package figures can make the placement situation look better than the typical student's experience. The median package is much more useful than the highest package when estimating what a typical placed student might earn.

Infrastructure: For B.Tech. CSE students, Chandigarh University's campus facilities are generally a strength. However, the experience depends on your academic block, hostel building, room type, and maintenance. Overall, university has good infrastructure.

Faculty: The experience depends on the faculty members teaching your subjects and how consistently you study. Overall, the teaching quality is good. Your experience also depends on how accessible your professors are outside lectures. You will have to take MSTs, practical MSTs, assessments, and ESTs to score a good CGPA.

Other: CU can be a reasonable choice for B.Tech. CSE, but your results will depend heavily on your skills.

Placements: The placement initiative is great. Professors are cordial and very helpful. The campus frequently organises placement drives. Teachers often help students create a proper portfolio and LinkedIn profile. Various companies visit almost every month for recruitment.

University is really good in terms of education and infrastructure.

Placements: There is a high number of placements in our batch. The packages offered are decent. Most companies are in sales and marketing. Companies offer different packages, and well-informed students also get placed. The roles offered are related to marketing and assisting with research.

Infrastructure: The classrooms are good and well-maintained. We have a library on each floor. I don't live in the hostel, but hostellers generally say that the food is good. The security is also good, and wardens are available to take care of students. Gyms are available, and instructors are present. Sports events also happen often.

Faculty: Teachers are qualified and knowledgeable. The course and curriculum are appropriately designed. The final exams are a bit tough. The passing marks are 40% of the 60 marks, although the requirements may also depend on the class topper's marks. Teachers are very helpful.

Other: I chose this course because it provides various opportunities for the future. I can opt for any subject in an M.Sc. and conduct research in many fields.

Very good infrastructure and faculty. The placement rate is good.

Placements: Approximately 60% of students in my class were placed. The highest package is 9 LPA. The lowest package is 5 LPA. The average package is 6 LPA. Top recruiters are biotechnology companies. Medical labs also recruit students. CSIR institutes and various educational institutes are also among the recruiters. Around 60% of students got internships through my course. The roles offered include research scholar positions. Teaching roles are also available. Other opportunities include medical lab technician roles in pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure and facilities available for my course are very good. The classrooms are air-conditioned. Smart boards are available. The laboratory infrastructure is also very good. The hostels are well-maintained. The hostel management takes care of security. Discipline and other things are taken care of by the hostel management.

Faculty: Teachers are very helpful. They are qualified & knowledgeable. They ensure that every topic is clearly understood by students. Course curriculum is easy to understand & relevant. It also helps make students industry-ready. Students at this university get good exposure to practical work. This helps them excel in their respective fields.

Other: The reason I chose this course is that I am very interested in biological sciences. One of the best things about this course is the educational field visits.

The college is fine, but the hostel rules have to be fair for guys and girls.

Placements: I am not sure about the exact percentage of students placed, but the packages usually start from 6 LPA to 12–13 LPA. Top companies that visit for placements include Nutanix, SaaS, and Deloitte. Top roles offered in this course are designer and management positions. Although there is a smaller number of seniors, most of them are well placed.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure seems pretty dull and not very lively. Only two floors are occupied for design students, covering all four branches (Product, Interior, Fashion, and Fine Arts). The Wi-Fi connectivity is irregular, but the labs are pretty nice. I do not think there is a specific library in my department right now. There is a medical room available from 8:00 PM to 8:00 AM, but the medical store is a bit far, which can be a problem in an emergency. Otherwise, boys and girls have separate hostel curfew timings, which is infuriating. Safety is required for both, hence, the timings should not differ.

Faculty: The teachers in my department are genuinely nice and come from various backgrounds with helpful advice. The teaching quality is good, and the classes are pretty enjoyable, however, the workload distribution could be better, as we get burdened with a lot of work by the end of the semester. The exams are not very difficult. The curriculum can improve, as it currently omits several fundamental topics that foundation students should be taught.

Other: I choose this course because of my interest in arts and crafts. I like that the work environment is very healthy compared to other courses. I wish for improvements in the infrastructure and the machinery available for learning. A lot of events are hosted, but the guest performers are majorly Punjabi or Haryanvi artists. The events also have barricades separating guys and girls even during Garba, which ruins the essence of festivals if you cannot celebrate with your friends.

For a B.Tech, I would personally choose LPU. In my experience, campus life, exposure, labs, and chances to take part in activities and projects have all been excellent. I believe LPU provides a more comprehensive B.Tech experience overall because there are many clubs and placement chances.
