Starting in 2022, DU admission will be subject to DUET for PG courses. However, Delhi University M.A. Admission 2021 was offered in two categories: Direct Admission and through Entrance Test. Also, along with the entrance exam, interview rounds are also conducted for admission to Delhi University M.A. Programme.

DSE admission to MA course is based on the overall DUET cutoff. Analysing the previous year DSE cutoff 2022, the Round 1 closing percentage for M.A. in Economics was 7.62, for M.A. in Geography, it was 67.45 and for M.A. in Sociology, it was 8.38 for the General category. The DUET cutoff was concluded with the release of Round 4 Seat Allotment. The closing ranks for M.A. in Economics was same i.e 7.62, whereas for M.A. in Geography was 75.78 and for M.A. in Sociology was 55.07. If taken into consideration the trend analysis of DSE for M.A. in Geography has seen a decrease in closing percentage. Delhi University offers full-time MA in multiple specialisations from a number of DU-affiliated colleges. The duration of the programme is two years. Starting 2023, DU admission to all the PG courses will be subject to CUET PG scores seat allotment. Candidates who qualify for the exam have to apply on the official website for final seat allotment.

Delhi University MA admission till 2021 was offered in two categories: Direct Admission and Through Entrance Test. Also, along with the entrance exam, interview rounds are also conducted for admission to Delhi University MA programme. There is no minimum age limit to take admission to the MA programme offered by the university. However, DU PG admission 2022-23 was subject to a valid score in DUET as announced by the University. Starting 2023, the admission process of DU for its postgraduate courses, such as MA will be subject to the CUET-PG exam conducted by NTA. 

DU has not released its placement report 2023. However, as per the data collated from the DU NIRF report 2023, the key highlights of DU placements 2022 are presented below for the two-year PG courses including MA:

There is no placement cell in our college. None of the companies visits the campus for placements. However, students do get jobs easily after completing their courses. Faculty members try their best to help students in finding good jobs.

Delhi University placement process is conducted through Centralized Placement Cell and Department Placement Cell, which varies from college to college. Other than this, the placement period at DU is between August and December. However, it may vary from college and department.

The highest package offered at Maulana Azad Medical College, University of Delhi is approximately INR 80 LPA (80 Lacs per annum). The average package is not less than INR 85,000 per month in Delhi and can go up to INR 1 Lacs or INR 2 Lakhs per month after an undergraduate degree. Further, the placement rate recorded during Maulana Azad Medical College PG 2-year and PG 3-year placements in 2022 was 100 percent.

Candidates wanting to pursue BTech from DU must meet the prescribed eligibility and selection requirements. The university accept valid scores of JEE Main and CUET for selection purposes. Selection shall be done based on merit in these entrance examinations. The aspirants shall stay updated with DU admission schedule and the accepted exam dates.

From the year 2023, admission to University of Delhi shall be based on a joint university entrance examination known as UBET for all UG and PG programmes. Delhi University has started taking admissions to UG courses through CUET from the previous year,  therefore PG admissions were based on the Delhi University Entrance Test (DUET).  CUET will be mandatory in all doctoral programmes of Delhi University from 2023 to 24.For the recruitment of UG students, a score from CUET will be taken into account in terms of admission to PG studies. Candidates for admission must appear for the respective examinations. Candidates who qualify the entrance examination will then be able to register on Delhi University’s Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) portal for seat allocation. The seat allocation is carried out on a number of rounds by means of the CSAS portal.
