Buddhist studies department in DU plays a major role in the international fame of our Buddhism.
Placements: Around 50-60% of the students got placements in our course in the field of teaching line or many monasteries and Buddhist institution. The highest salary package offered is around 30 LPA, the lowest salary package offered is around 3-4 LPA and the average salary package offered is 8-10 LPA. Any company did not visit here, but students got placed in many universities and institution in which Buddhist studies are compulsory. Students are offered roles like a guest faculty member and professors in university or head of the department of Buddhist studies in a university. In our course, the highest salary package offered is 30 LPA, the lowest salary package offered is 3 LPA and the average salary package offered is 10-12 LPA. Almost 50-60% of the students got an internship.
Infrastructure: There are various facilities in our department, mainly the free trip for Buddhist holy places. We have many books for issuing and learned many things from the library. Classrooms are advanced. Quality of our hostel is very good. Food is average, but sometimes it is very good. Canteen also provides good food. Medical facilities are properly provided in our university, and sports and games are also proper with good equipment.
Faculty: Teaching quality is the best in our department, and teachers have completed their postgraduation and doctorate from abroad. Their qualification is very good, and everyone understands any easy language of teachers. This course curriculum is relevant, and it makes students better for future perspective.
Other: I have chosen this course because I am having an interest in Buddhism religion. The best thing about this course is it is very easy to understand, and we can easily gain teaching. Many things should be improved like proper regular classes and proper arrangements in classrooms for books regarding Buddhism. Events are done with many fests and international conference. The campus crowd is the best. Our campus and surroundings are also amazing. Scholarships are provided to some students according to their financial conditions.
